I have lived in this area for over 30 years and simply love it! It's very peaceful and I am always struck by how friendly people are in Rutland. My husband and children are born and bred here (I'm an interloper from Lancashire...) and I can't see any of us wanting to move anywhere else..! Although sometimes some more sunshine would be nice...
Mrs Dee Hinch purchased this cabin in 1995
We bought our own home along with a tumbledown barn in the garden and converted the barn into Mill Cottage. We rented it to friends longterm but in 2010 decided to rent it out for holiday breaks as we were asked about it so much! The Lodge is one of several Norwegian log cabins erected in 2009 100 yards from the Cottage. Rutland is a perfect location from which to visit the rest of England. The Cottage is hidden away in a valley on Greetham Valley's golf estate, yet with easy access from the A1 dual carriageway. Rutland Water is just a few minutes drive away and many of Hidden England's stately homes are within easy reach. There are fabulous restaurants / pubs in the locale - the only problem you'll have is deciding which one to choose! We'll be happy to suggest our favourites...
