About Mrs Dee Hinch
I have lived in this area for over 30 years and simply love it! It's very peaceful and I am always struck by how friendly people are in Rutland. My husband and children are born and bred here (I'm an interloper from Lancashire...) and I can't see any of us wanting to move anywhere else..! Although sometimes some more sunshine would be nice...
Mrs Dee Hinch purchased this Cottage in 1995
Why Mrs Dee Hinch chose Stamford
The lodges are Norwegian log cabins erected in 2009. Rutland is a perfect location from which to visit the rest of England. The lodges are hidden away in a valley on Greetham Valley's golf estate, yet with easy access from the A1 dual carriageway. Rutland Water is just a few minutes drive away and many of Hidden England's stately homes are within easy reach. There are fabulous restaurants / pubs in the locale - the only problem you'll have is deciding which one to choose! We'll be happy to suggest our favourites...

Nice big house with a gate so we didn't have to worry about the dog going walkabout.
Well laid out, especially the kitchen/dining room
Sitting room a bit dark and gloomy
Kitchen well appointed but all the knives were very blunt and we had trouble slicing bread, let alone meat. Could do with some smaller tumblers.
Needed soap at all basins and sinks. No towel in the kitchen.
Loo seats both needed tightening up - they kept skidding off to the side
Could have done with a detailed map of the area
Quite simply the most wonderful place to stay. The Mill house is everything we hoped for and heaps mo
Greetham Valley and it's surrounding countryside are absolutely gorgeous. The facilities are impeccable and the staff and owners are totally wonderful. We would recommend this holiday to all who love the great outdoors.
