About Christine Fordham
We have had so many great times at the house on our own or in larger groups with friends and family, it is such a beautiful area and the house and surroundings provide complete relaxation and tranquility. I can honestly say photos just do not do the views from the house justice, a view shared by all who have been there David and Christine Fordham

Great holiday hideaway in a relatively undiscovered area
It was great to find a part of Italy that is entirely unspoilt by tourism even in high season. The house enjoys spectacular scenery as well as being within easy reach of the Adriatic coast. The locals are friendly and there are a number of good value places to eat.
The house is well laid out with good facilities and plenty of space for two families of four. We particularly enjoyed the large balcony (with great views), the pool and the fire pit area! It is definitely better value than equivalent houses in better known regions of Italy, and I can certainly recommend it.
Thank you for taking time Jon to post such a great review. We couldn’t agree more with what you have said!

Great villa in a spectacular setting. Stunning views from the balcony and BBQ area and a great pool.
We spent a week as two families of four at Christine’s place near Bisenti and we had a wonderful time. The villa is well equipped, particularly upstairs in the main living area. It was clean and tidy, and had all we needed. There is a large balcony wrapped around two sides of the villa which was great for lounging about and gazing at the incredible mountain views, with a big broad table perfect for meals in the evening sun. The downstairs living area is slightly simpler but perfectly nice. Outside, the pool was perfect for us and the kids, and we had a good few days doing little more than relaxing in and out of the water. At the front is table tennis and table football, and a glorious little bbq area hidden away which has the most spectacular view I’ve ever had whilst grilling!
It was tricky to find as first timers, and sat nav will be of no help to you, but the Teramo and Abruzzo area was well worth the drive. We had a lovely couple of days at Pineto beach, and a delightful visit to San Lorenzo vineyard (after which we couldn’t resist taking some bottles home and putting our baggage allowance at risk for the return flight!)
A week was too short, and we’re already itching to go back!
Thank you Mikey. I think that’s an excellent and very true summary of our lovely secret hideaway in the beautiful abruzzan hills. I am so pleased you had such a great holiday and it’s lovely to hear you’re itching to return! Bookings now being taken for next season! Christine
Italy at its best
There are no pictures that can do this house and its surroundings true justice, it really is a case of see it to really believe it. Here is a really spacious comfortable and well equipped house that gives you the home from home feel while you drink in the beauty of the Abruzzo region. This house also benefits from a great support team to welcome you and should anything go wrong they are just a phone call away 24/7. We recommend this place whole heartedly and shall be returning.
Thank you Kevin we are very pleased you had such a fantastic holiday at our property..David and Christine Fordham
A piece of paradise
This house does exactly what it says on the tin ,its comfortable. its peaceful, its beautiful, its so well equipped,it was a perfect base for our family of 8 adults to completly chill out . The fact that the owners are willing to share this piece of paradise is beyond us , we were there for a week we relaxed and really chilled out ,the weather was perfect but even if it had rained there was enough to do ,the level of service from the couple that look after the house is again excellent. It was everything it claimed to be and we would return.
A beautiful relaxing getaway.
Recently returned from this gorgeous mountain hideaway with 4 other couples. Stunning views all round - spectacular to wake up to. Huge house with fabulous facilities. Excellently equipped kitchen, lovely bedroom and bathrooms, huge outside dining table and best of all the massive BBQ/fire pit for gathering in the evenings. Chilled days floating around in the pool and evenings eating and drinking together.
Found everything we needed in Bisenti supermarket and butchers - good market on Tues for fruit, veg, ham, cheese etc.
Lovely pizza restaurant in Castiglione and fabulous excellent value meal at Paradiso restaurant - had to stop at the meat course though - phew!!
Can't recommend enough for a 'get away from it all' luxury break.
The Best Yet!
My large, now adult family have taken holidays in large villas with pools in Italy for 4 of the last 5 years. This was the best - magnificant location, far from the madding croud, with spectacular scenery, authentic and friendly local Italian people - free from tourist trappings and commercialisation. Perfectly equipped spacious house which is ideal for inside and outside living.
Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Excellent restaurant just 10 minutes away, all the basic local provisions you need in nearby Bisenti. Bellisimo!
Half an hour to nearest beach at Montesilvano. Also Silvi and the lovely seaside town of Pineto are 45 minutes from house.
Pescara airport, approximately 50 minutes away. Ryanair from Stansted. Rome Ciampino is 2 hours 10 minutes away
Rome Fiumicino is 2 hours 30 minutes away
Rome Ciampino airport, approximately 2 hours 10 minutes. Rome Fiumicino airport, approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Ancona, approximately 2 hours. A car is essential.
Local Amenities - Bisenti has 2 well stocked supermarkets, 2 butchers, baker, bank, petrol, bar, church etc. Bisenti is a pretty medieval small town, about 4 miles from house. Owners favourite place to eat in Agriturismo is called Paradiso, off the main road to Bisenti. Excellent home cooked food at a very reasonable price. Castiglione is also approximately 4 miles away, with supermarket, bank, petrol, pizzeria. Most of the accommodation is at first floor level. All rooms have shutters at windows. No pets. No smoking inside the house.
