Beautiful peaceful Tuscany.
The apartment was large and well equipped. It had a lovely sunny terrace and its own private garden. The views are fabulous. The manager could not have been more helpful with giving us local information. The villa is in a beautiful location. Perfect to visit Florence and Pisa. There are some lovely bike rides too. I would recommend these apartments to anyone.
Quiet location, very good apartment,
A very quiet and beautifull location, ideal for making long walks in the Pratomagno, and to visit Toscane. The apartments are very good and cool. The swimming pool and the area is beautifull, and the manager is very helpfull.
Beautiful scenery for a quiet break
Lovely place, our apartment was well decorated and clean, and the pool and gardens are immaculately kept. The team are friendly and helpful, and the local area is ideal for a quiet getaway. Would definitley recommend to anyone who asked!
A beautiful place with very friendly and helpful staff
We had a fantastic week at Podere Casarotta. We stayed in Il Loggia, a one bedroom apartment. It is very spacious, with a comfortable bed and a lovely shower. It also has a private area immediately outside with views over the valley, the Valdarno. Simone and everyone there could not have been more helpful. Simone welcomed us and showed us around, and he and his partner cooked us a delicious and memorable meal one evening. There is a lovely 15m+ pool which is shared with the other residents, but it is easily big enough with plenty of loungers by the pool. The information folder provided gave us lots of interesting and useful information about the area - for example it told us clearly how we could travel by train to Florence, which we did very successfully one day. There is a range of shops in Castelfranco di Sopra, including a friendly bakers shop. All in all, this is a great place to stay!
Great place, great weather, great value
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, fantastic place, stunning views, relaxing and chilled throughout our stay. Easy to get to places such as Florence, would recommend a trip to Lucca and the Il Conto de Maggio restaurant. If you're looking for a place in the hills away from the hustle of day to day life with great views and weather this is the place for you
Special interest holidays:
On request, we organize food and wine tastings and/or homemade dinners with typical food on the terrace, with an unforgettable night view on the Valdarno valley. When you book, ask for a welcome dinner if you like!
Podere Casarotta has belonged to the district of Loro Ciuffenna since 1774, as can be seen from the date carved on the left-hand corner of the building. The historical data available shows us that at one time it belonged to the first standard-bearer of Loro Ciuffenna, a hamlet with medieval origins, then to a group of local families who made a living from making oil and wine. The Antinori family was also the owners at one time. The actual owners have carried out extensive restoration work in a very refined style but at the same time in a innovative way. The property consists of twelve hectares that are planted with olives. The house is at 500 m. from the sea level, on a hill with a panoramic view over Valdarno and Chianti mounts. The estate produces its own olive oil, which is then sold, using organic farming methods.
Valdarno valley, the area between Florence, Chianti and Arezzo is famous for its wine, its oil and nice food, like "fiorentina" steak. Its rolling hills are covered with olive groves and vineyards, it has extensive woodlands and beautiful restored historical buildings, including many castles and abbeys. All these features contribute to its charm and serene country atmosphere but it is in easy reach of towns such as Arezzo, Florence and Siena.
Then Casarotta will be your luxurious, comfortable and relaxing starting point for visiting Tuscany! Whatever you are looking for: art, history, culture, parks and nature, wine and food routes, or just absolute relax, you will find them all at hand!
