Overview

About the property

Apartment in Farmhouse in Loro Ciuffenna, Arezzo Province, Tuscany - Very Peaceful Location, Pool & Stunning View, Close Florence, Arezzo & Chianti

Six beautiful apartments in ancient Tuscan villa of XVIII century, with a private swimming pool immersed in the silence of the countryside. Halfway between Florence and Arezzo, on the cliff of Pratomagno mountain, with a stunning sight on the whole Valdarno valley and the Chianti hills. Immersed in nature and surrounded by olive trees (we do our own olive oil).

The apartments have one or two bedrooms each, living room with kitchen, private bathroom and private outdoor garden area. Each apartment can sleep 2/4 persons, but they can be rented together to sleep any group up to 20 persons!

Thanks to the privileged position, you will find a perfect balance between rest & relaxation and moving around to visit Tuscany. The house is secluded, silent and peaceful, but at the same time it's near to local town and villages: the nearest shopping point is Castelfranco, just 4kms away, and the A1 motorway is just at a 10 minutes drive.

Podere Casarotta will be your luxurious, comfortable and relaxing starting point to enjoy Tuscany! Whatever you are looking for: art, history, culture, parks and nature, wine and food routes, or just perfect relax, you will find them all at hand!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Podere Casarotta was the perfect villa in the Tuscan countryside. My husband and I spent a week there it was fantastic. The views are breath-taking, the pool is relaxing, and there are so many great small towns in the area to visit for dinner or shopping. We will definitely go back to Casarotta!

Podere Casarotta is a beautiful property in the heart of Tuscany. It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Tuscan sun! The service was excellent, great e-mail communication, and very easy to book and also very reasonable rates. Everything is very charming and well taken care off. Simone was very friendly and helpful, and we loved the meals he cooks on request. Also the organic Olive Oil from the farm is the best! We can highly recommend this property. (Madcityfam)

A beautiful place with very friendly and helpful staff

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic week at Podere Casarotta. We stayed in Il Loggia, a one bedroom apartment. It is very spacious, with a comfortable bed and a lovely shower. It also has a private area immediately outside with views over the valley, the Valdarno. Simone and everyone there could not have been more helpful. Simone welcomed us and showed us around, and he and his partner cooked us a delicious and memorable meal one evening. There is a lovely 15m+ pool which is shared with the other residents, but it is easily big enough with plenty of loungers by the pool. The information folder provided gave us lots of interesting and useful information about the area - for example it told us clearly how we could travel by train to Florence, which we did very successfully one day. There is a range of shops in Castelfranco di Sopra, including a friendly bakers shop. All in all, this is a great place to stay!

Great place, great weather, great value

  • 5 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, fantastic place, stunning views, relaxing and chilled throughout our stay. Easy to get to places such as Florence, would recommend a trip to Lucca and the Il Conto de Maggio restaurant. If you're looking for a place in the hills away from the hustle of day to day life with great views and weather this is the place for you

What a lovely place for a relaxing family holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We have 2 children (5 and 9) and love decent self-catering accommodation holidays. This place was fantastic and I have have already recommended friends and family to go. We stayed in "I Baldacchini" which was perfect for a family of 4. The pool is lovely, everywhere is safe and clean and everyone who we came into contact with were friendly. We will definitely be back, great job.

wow!

  • 5 of 5

We loved every minute of our stay at Podere Casarotta. We stayed in the converted hayloft, which was not only comfortable but had everything we could possibly need. There was a perfect mix between relaxation and sight seeing, and the apartments were located by some really pretty towns and within easy train ride to Florence and other big towns.. Wish we were still there!

Further Details:

Podere Casarotta has belonged to the district of Loro Ciuffenna since 1774, as can be seen from the date carved on the left-hand corner of the building. The historical data available shows us that at one time it belonged to the first standard-bearer of Loro Ciuffenna, a hamlet with medieval origins, then to a group of local families who made a living from making oil and wine. The Antinori family was also the owners at one time. The actual owners have carried out extensive restoration work in a very refined style but at the same time in a innovative way. The property consists of twelve hectares that are planted with olives. The house is at 500 m. from the sea level, on a hill with a panoramic view over Valdarno and Chianti mounts. The estate produces its own olive oil, which is then sold, using organic farming methods.

Valdarno valley, the area between Florence, Chianti and Arezzo is famous for its wine, its oil and nice food, like "fiorentina" steak. Its rolling hills are covered with olive groves and vineyards, it has extensive woodlands and beautiful restored historical buildings, including many castles and abbeys. All these features contribute to its charm and serene country atmosphere but it is in easy reach of towns such as Arezzo, Florence and Siena.

Then Casarotta will be your luxurious, comfortable and relaxing starting point for visiting Tuscany! Whatever you are looking for: art, history, culture, parks and nature, wine and food routes, or just absolute relax, you will find them all at hand!
