Cornwall’s forgotten corner. The twin seaside villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, on the Rame peninsula are great for relaxing and enjoying a memorable holiday. The chalet has a magnificent view over the sea towards the hills of Dartmoor - probably the best view in the village. The area has a great deal to offer and a week could easily be lost exploring the charming streets, walking the coastline, relaxing on the beach. Walkers are spoilt for choice and can pick up the South West Coast Path in both directions. Mount Edgcumbe’s country park starts at the top of the village and you can walk to the famous 16th century house and visit its beautiful gardens. Locally, there are five pubs, three coffee shops and a choice of places to eat in the evening. It is ideal for a relaxing romantic break.

Lovely place in a gorgeous location
We booked here after looking at a few places and are really glad we did.
The hosts were very helpful with lots of information and directions etc. The chalet was very neat, clean and tidy with a fantastic view of the sea.
The location was great, right by the coast and within a 2 minute walk of the shops, pubs and coastline. We would definitely book again.
A beautiful spot with homely touches.A wonderful view from the bed in the morning.
Absolutely fantastic. What a beautiful place. We could not have asked for more. The view was amazing and to wake in the morning with the sound of the waves crashing on the shore so relaxing. We loved the entire place. Fantastic local food and service from all the pubs. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much.
Cosy chalet with fantastic views!
Very relaxing and peaceful spot
The Crows Nest ,Cawsand
Really nice situation, clean, everything you need except groceries !!
Very small but for two people just great !
My wife & I LOVED it !!!
Parking is available about 250 Mtrs away (FREE) ,probably not for those who's mobility is compromised as it's doorway is on a set of old stone steps ,it is after all an old fishing village .
Thoroughly recommended by us .
The property is lovely, very pretty and amazing views
The views are beautiful and the property is lovely, the village is pretty and the local pubs and shops were great and everyone very friendly!
Great views overlooking plymouth sound
Small, but well designed chalet perfect for couples. Purchased fresh sour dough bread from the bakery at the bottom of duck steps each morning. Lots of lovely walks along quiet footpaths with spectacular coastal scenery. Cawsand is a delightful higgeldy pigglety village which was peaceful to walk around in the day with a few good pubs for the evening. Overall, a good base to visit this hidden part of Cornwall.
We are a couple of minutes walk to the beach, close enough to sometimes hear the waves at high tide. The beaches are clean, with clear water, sand and rock pools. If you are prepared to walk for half an hour there are the stunning white beaches of Whitsand Bay which are the other side of this headland.
In the summer months a small foot passenger ferry takes people to and from Plymouth which is about a half hour trip. If you are coming by train then it is quite a nice way to arrive. The closest airport is Plymouth and then Exeter which is one and a half hours away and there are cross channel ferries which go to France and Spain.
We are within the village with all amenities. Plymouth although close as the crow flies takes about 45 minutes by car or you can take the beach ferry from Cawsand that runs from April to October except in strong winds. This will take you to the historic Barbican area from where the Mayflower set sail to America.
