Perfect romantic hideaway
We were at the Crownest during Storm Dennis - it was a cosy spot to watch the waves below and Cawsand has everything we needed. Well equipped cottage. We definitely want to return.
Idyllic hideaway retreat

Can’t wait to return!

Lovely property for a couple looking for a break.
Lovely, romantic little hideaway in a beautiful lication
Very easy process from start to finish. We had a slight problem which was completely solved after one call to the owner
Peaceful oasis with a fantastic view
The chalet was just as described, it had everything that we needed for our week long stay. We found it easily following the directions we received, and it is in a brilliant location. We were able to park on the road just down the hill from Crows Nest, although there was plenty of room in both car parks. We ate at the Devonport Inn and the Rising Sun both were excellent with a good selection of fresh local ingredients and bth were very welcoming. Would love to stay here again.
Compact and cosy
No issues with whole rental process. A very relaxing week in a lovely village and surrounding area.
We are a couple of minutes walk to the beach, close enough to sometimes hear the waves at high tide. The beaches are clean, with clear water, sand and rock pools. If you are prepared to walk for half an hour there are the stunning white beaches of Whitsand Bay which are the other side of this headland.
In the summer months a small foot passenger ferry takes people to and from Plymouth which is about a half hour trip. If you are coming by train then it is quite a nice way to arrive. The closest airport is Plymouth and then Exeter which is one and a half hours away and there are cross channel ferries which go to France and Spain.
We are within the village with all amenities. Plymouth although close as the crow flies takes about 45 minutes by car or you can take the beach ferry from Cawsand that runs from April to October except in strong winds. This will take you to the historic Barbican area from where the Mayflower set sail to America.
