We live in Solihull in the UK Midlands. John has his own Software Consulting business and Anne is a recently retired GP Practice Nurse. We both have grown up children from previous marriages, but now we are on our own we have the freedom to enjoy life in our French second home. We are unapologetic francophiles with French connections on both sides of the family. French life is all about relaxation, food, wine, visiting wonderful places with great heritage and architecture, honing our language skills, and the kind of peace and quiet that we seem to have lost decades ago in Britain. Large, beautiful, quiet and well maintained property
We had an excellent stay - very comfortable and homely. Luxurious bathrooms. Peaceful location with lovely views. Very well equipped and maintained. Only drawback - two bedrooms are only accessed through other ones.
There is a 2 single beds kids room off the large master bedroom with a king-size bed. We call this the Family suite, and it has a luxury en-suite bathroom.
There is another large double bedroom with king-size bed off a smaller double bedroom. However, as we only advertise the house as sleeping 6, we feel this smaller bedroom is not relevant.
We had a perfect week in Brittany at this charming property - clean, comfortable and well maintained. The house is set in beautiful countryside with uninterrupted views all around, yet only a short car drive to the nearest amenities. This house is truly a home-from-home and is perfectly equipped throughout. Patio areas to the front and rear allows one to take advantage of the sunshine (or shade as appropriate!) and were well used by us because the weather was superb for the whole week. If you enjoy cycling there are bicycles available to go out and explore. With very little traffic, it's an opportunity rarely afforded in the UK. Sleeping accommodation is excellent and the master bedroom is indeed a "tour de force" with a beautifully appointed, newly fitted ensuite bathroom that is possibly one of the largest I have ever seen. Whilst nestled in the country, from this house it is easy to access the coast where there are scores of unspoilt beaches to enjoy - which we did. A day exploring the beautiful city of Vannes is also recommended, and a trip or two to local markets is fun, interesting and provides an opportunity to purchase local produce which we enjoyed during relaxed evenings on the patio. All in all this was a wonderful holiday and to say that I would gladly return to this property is surely all you need in making a decision to stay here.
Wonderful well equiped property - great location
Had a fantastic time. The house is in a great location- rural but close to a town with all requirements. Had some great times eating outside on All of the patios. The property is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Can't speak highly enough of it. Will definenitly go again.
Special interest holidays: Plenty of sailing and power boating opportunities in the superb Golfe du Morbihan and elsewhere along the Morbihan coast. Coast/Beach: There are many superb sandy beaches and wonderful coastal walks all along the southern Brittany coast within an easy 30-50 minutes drive. Try Carnac, La Trinité, Quiberon, Rhuys and Erdeven. Travel: Located between Plumelin and Moustoir-Ac, a few km south of the characteristic market town of Locminé and the N24 Motorway. 2 hours south-west of St. Malo. 25 km north of Vannes and Auray (20-25 mins drive to each). Flights: Ryanair to Dinard and Nantes. FlyBe to Rennes and Brest. Nearest Ferry ports are St. Malo, Roscoff and Cherbourg. Distances: Conveniently located for, the Morbihan coast of southern Brittany, including the beautiful Golfe du Morbihan, the Quibéron Peninsula and the resorts of Carnac and La Trinité. The lovely inland region from Pontivy to Josselin and Rochefort-en-Terre. The peaceful River Blavet valley and Lake Guerledan to the north. Quiet and scenic country for walking and cycling.

Booking Notes: To book, please use this site's online reservation form, or alternatively message the property owner via the site. 25% deposit payable with your booking. Balance 1 month before arrival date, together with £100 returnable security deposit. Payment by cheque directly to owner. Payment can be made in UK Pounds or Euros. Changeover Day: Saturday preferred changeover day. In off-season we will consider other changeover days if available. Notes on prices: Prices are per week or month (in high season), or also per 5 or 6 nights at other times. All prices include bed linen, towels, cleaning, wi-fi, energy and water. Weeks that span rental periods will be averaged. For longer periods please contact the owner. A £100/week winter energy surcharge will be applied to all Christmas and New Year period bookings.
