About Sue Mcdonald
My wife and I live in England currently but spend a lot of time in France. We always look forward to visiting Pezenas. The place and the people are lovely - so welcoming!
Why Sue Mcdonald chose Pézenas
We have been coming to Pezenas for 12 years, staying with friends at first, camping in their vineyard before buying our own property. During our many visits, we fell in love with the area and the people. Pezenas is such a vibrant and interesting place and we never tire of it. We particularly like its location between the mountains and the med. The variety of activities on offer is wide-ranging - canoeing on the Orb, sunbathing on the many beaches, water sports on Lac Salagou, hill walking, concerts, cafe culture etc. - or just relaxing! Pezenas has something to offer no matter what time of year you visit which is why we love to keep returning, year after year.
What makes this House unique
La Maison du Coin is in the old town. Lots of history, narrow streets, great shops and lots of places to eat are only minutes from your door. In the summer, shops are open twice a week until late. Music, street entertainers and great shopping help create a friendly family atmosphere. Our little house is bright and sunny; facing south. Even if you don't book our house; come to Pezenas, you'll fall in love with it as we did.

Sports & Adventure Activities
Pezenas is an interesting town as you approach particularly after the starkness of coming out of winter where the beauty of France is at its most challenging time. The beginnings of spring are already just beginning with fruit trees just blossoming but the vines and avenues of trees that abound in France are yet to show themselves. With that in mind though, Pezenas as a town a little bigger that we were expecting but the walks that we had were longer and more varied throughout the historic alleys of the town and its area adjacent. Some great eating establishments are around and it was amongst that that we stayed in a comfortable and very handy location. We are tall people so there was a little bending over to go through and up stairways as this is a quirky apartment on several levels that affords the occupant with plenty of the necessary extras that are required. Clean and lately updated although not in any french traditional way, the appointments were fine for the week we were there. The main room has single beds , no double but none the less very adequate.
All in all our recommendation is that it is worth putting on your list of possible places to stay.
We are glad that you enjoyed and appreciated all of the attractions in and around Pezenas. Thank you for your endorsement of the house - we try very hard to make sure our guests are comfortable and that the house is well-equipped, clean and welcoming.
Lovely compact, cool house in the centre of old Pezenas town. Easy parking nearby and close to all amenities. A truely brilliant house with all mod cons in an historic setting. Evening aperitif with french friends, were had, sitting outside, in the street. Passers by wishing us "bon appetit" Fabulous and memorable.
Thank you for your kind endorsement. We are so glad that you enjoyed your time in Pezenas and in the house. We would be very happy to welcome you back in the future.
