Kaya Valley is full of charm and beauty with a quirky village feel that will appeal to all...it's impossible not to fall in love with the place and it's the perfect location for exploring the rich treasures that this area has to offer. There really is something for everyone here... Some of the best beaches in the world, stunning scenery, a wealth of activities on your doorstep to keep you busy should you wish and an abundance of Restaurants offering delicious local and international cuisine.
The properties are centrally located in Kaya valley. Plenty of activities locally inc Boat trips, Horse Riding, Quad biking and parasailing to name but a few, also popular with walking enthusiasts with the famous Lycian trail on our doorstep. A Wonderful swimming pool awaits you to while away those lazy days. An abundance of restaurants to choose from or if you would prefer great food in the comfort of the apartment, we can also recommend local caterers who can provide delicious evening meals at reasonable prices.
This was our second visit to these apartments, last year we stayed in The Garden Apartment, this year we were in The Garden Lodge. The location of these apartments in Kayakoy is beautiful, peaceful and tranquil. The apartments themselves are very clean, well maintained and equipped to a high standard. The apartments each have their own outside sitting area that look onto a beautiful garden and pool area. The pool itself is very inviting and there are plenty of comfortable sun loungers and sun umbrellas. Some days we found it very hard to drag ourselves away from the peace and tranquillity of the pool and apartment to venture out. Kayakoy itself has a very laidback charm and there are plenty of eating options just a short walk away. The owner of these apartments, Tommy, is friendly and on hand to help should you need advice. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning.
We stayed for five nights in this beautiful apartment. We arrived late in the evening and were welcomed by Tommy and his family who sorted us a late reservation in a restaurant just round the corner. Everyone we met here was so friendly and helpful & each evening we were able to try out a different local restaurant - all within walking distance - and all absolutely lovely. The apartment itself is in such an idyllic setting, with a gorgeous, quiet swimming pool surrounded by stunning greenery and views of the ghost town. The apartment has everything you need. The local food shop is within easy walking distance. We hired a car which was brilliant and Tommy sorted this for us. We also went on Tommy's boat trip for the day visiting Paradise beach and the waterfall. The food was great on the boat too. We really couldn't recommend this place enough.
You can't fail to fall in love with Kaya Village and the Garden is the perfect place to stay if you want to feel part of village life. Everyone is so welcoming - so much so I now feel like an adopted member of the Ozturk family and can't wait to return. I'm especially pleased that a welcome pack of bread, water etc. is now included. Thank you everyone and see you soon :-)
We decided to visit the peaceful Turkish village of Kayakoy again for our summer holiday after falling in love with it on a previous stay. A quick search on Owners Direct and up popped this little gem. Excellent communication when booking - we had replies to our emails within a few hours - sometimes minutes, which made booking so stress free.
We arrived fairly late in the evening, but the charismatic host Tommy popped his head in to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation is brilliant, it has everything you need - including a washing machine (brilliantly handy for helping to keep the luggage to a minimum when booking cheap flights!) and it's spotlessly clean. The pool area is stunning - with views from the very comfy sun beds of the ghost village, and just the odd dragonfly or bird to keep you company!
Whilst you're staying here you have access to the families (huge!) vegetable patch - which was fantastic - lots of fresh tomatoes, peppers, sweetcorn, herbs etc, you just pop over the wall and help yourself.
Tommy and all of his family make you feel so welcome and are always on hand if you need help or tips on where to eat or visit (highly recommend Tommy's sailing trip!). If you're looking for peace and quiet, in a beautiful location, surrounded by stunning scenery, amazing local restaurants and friendly locals then you won't be disappointed - book while you can!
We had nearly 3 weeks of total relaxation, sun and great sight seeing.
Kaya village is a dream and the people are so friendly.
The Garden Appt was adequate for our stay and nice and cosy. The pool was great and we spent a lot of time enjoying it. The cost is well worth it considering the prices of villas in the village.
The main thing that was missing was the small welcome parcel when we arrived. We arrived at 3am in the morning and no milk, bread etc was available in the appt. This would be a nice touch to add and would be appreciated by future guests.
This was our second visit to Kaykakoy and we were not let down. Clean, comfortable accommodation in a perfect setting. The garden and pool really are idyllic, private and with great views over to the ghost village. The welcome and care from the family is great and nothing is too much trouble.
There are plenty of places to eat in the village, food and service are brilliant and the locals are very friendly. There are also little shops, fruit and veg stalls and a lovely bakery in the village within walking distance of the property.
This time we enjoyed walking, cycling, sea kayaking, visiting a few of the local historical sites and of course visits to the local beaches. The holiday would not have been complete without a day out on Tommy's boat Deniz Bey and again the crew looked after us as if we were royalty.
Will we go back a resounding YES.
If you want a peacful holiday with no pressure then this is the place to visit.
Tesekkur ederim Tommy & Family :)
