This luxurious two storey cottage is located within a 5 minute walk of the bars and restaurants in the Bairro Alto and less than a 10 minute walk to the shops, cafés and Metro station in Chiado. It's an ideal base for exploring the city with a stop for Lisbon's historic trams close by and, if you want to go to the beach, Cais do Sodré railway station is 15 minutes walk away including a ride down the famous 'Elevador da Bica'.
Despite the central location, this end of terrace cottage is on a quiet street and backs on to the Geological Museum so you can enjoy the best of Lisbon but relax and sleep well when you want to.

This was a lovely little house in a nice quiet location. One of the owners was there on our arrival to meet us. He also showed me around the property and how to use the equipment even though clear instructions were left in the house. There were plenty of maps, leaflets and a couple of books to help you with your sightseeing trips. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and this enabled you to cook simple meals in the evening if you chose not to go out. The owners provide a few basics for you so that shopping is not an immediate priority. There are a couple of shops nearby and the nearest tube station is about a 5 - 10 minute walk. The owners provide a "manual" for the property which is very good in English and Spanish.
The property was very well furnished and decorated on our arrival and was one of the loveliest I've stayed in. I felt that the owners had taken good care of us offering to order a taxi for us on departure date even though they would be in Spain on that day. I didn't try any of their recommended restaurants as we did not eat out much. I can recommend the Knowledge Pavillion near the aquarium for kids. It's a science hall filled with loads of interactive experiments and things kids can do. There is even enough to keep adults amused. Attractions we visited and liked were the Castle of Sao Jorge, the zoo and the aquarium. I would recommend this property to anyone who is considering staying in Lisbon.
The cottage was a perfect place for our family of 3! Justo was very helpful. It was easy to walk to various areas in the city. The apartment's bedrooms are located in the lower level making it easy for others to stay awake upstairs in the evening. The kitchen and all the amenities worked well. If we travel back to Lisbon, we will stay again! Cheers, Robin
We stayed in this lovely apartment for 4 nights. The apartment is exactly as the pics show. It is very clean, neat and has everything needed for a self catering city break. Upon arrival Justo meet and gave us some very interesting bits of info on things to do and how to get around in Lisbon. Thank you Justo. It's the small things that count. We had a wonderful 4 days.na trip to Sintra is a must. The open top buses are good value and you can take a line that goes all along the coast. If we return to Lisbon it will be to this cottage.
My mum and I rented the cottage for 5 nights. Justo met us and had kindly bought us some breakfast food to save us going to the shops as we arrived late. The cottage was immaculately clean, better than most hotels! The location is great and very quiet at night considering the central location. The beds are very comfortable which we appreciated after walking around Lisbon all day. Justo was a great host, providing lots of information before arrival and there was a lot of local information in the cottage. I'd defintiely recommend the cottage to anyone considering staying in Lisbon.
From the minute we made our booking to the moment we left 4 days later, we can honestly say that this was a superb cottage in an excellent location with everything we wanted or needed for a city break for a family of 4. Justo made us very welcome and helped us settle in and give us some top tips for making our stay very pleasant. Excellent location within good walking distance of lots of sights as well as having all the equipment and facilities needed, Thank you Justo! We will be back!
PS There was a sight smell of drains occasionally in the bathroom and I couldn't get the stereo to work, but apart form that - fab!
We spent two wonderful weeks at the Lisbon Cottage. The owner was very helpful and responsive. The accommodations and amenities were offered as described. Will recommend to all of our friends!!!
There is a local shop 30 metres from the door and a café a little further along and in the same road you have the Geological Museum and a couple of small art galleries opposite the School of Dance.
If you'd like a drink nearby, Cinco Lounge, described by Time Out as Lisbon's first New York/London style cocktail bar, is 2 minutes away on foot.
