Description

Knysna Villa Rental Photos and Description

5 bedroom, 5 bathroom family house in tranquil surroundings

The five double bedrooms (all with balconies) are on the upper ground floor - three are en suite, and the other two share a family bathroom. Four of the bedrooms are east facing and have spectacular, unobstructed views of the Knysna Lagoon. Also on the upper ground floor is a study and a double garage. Above the garage is a large play room, accessed from inside the house. Most of the lower ground floor is an open plan kitchen, family room and dining area. There is also a separate lounge, a scullery, and a downstairs shower and toilet. Large stacking doors open onto east and north facing patios with covered dining and sitting areas overlooking the 20 metre swimming pool and the breathtaking views of the lagoon. Belvidere Heights is a gated, nine hectare, low density (only 12 plots) estate which has been developed to blend in with the surrounding fynbos. Bushbuck and porcupine are frequent visitors, and the spectacular Knysna Turaco can often be seen and heard.

Suitability:

About Lucy & Andrew Hart

We are a mixed South African/English family currently living in the UK, but hoping to retire to Knysna. We love the safe and relaxed lifestyle that the Garden Route offers, as well as the multitude of activities and equable climate.

Lucy & Andrew Hart purchased this villa in 2010

Magnificent House

  • 5 of 5

We have just spent two weeks at this gorgeous, divine house. The moment we all walked in we were totally in awe. It is very light and airy and spacious, loads of seating. Views from the patio and from the bedrooms were totally fabulous. We would sleep with our curtains and door open just to hear the birds and get to see the spectacular South African sunrise in the mornings. A great pool to do lengths in, garden is gorgeous. We had a baby tortoise one day, beautiful birds. The house is in a such a safe complex and so quiet it is heaven!! Has everything from home. Not once did we put on the TV, to sit outside and see the galaxy of Knysna stars is the way to do it. We have traveled loads and we would without doubt say this is the best house ever. It is in such a great location to head to head out to visit various places around.

Staying here made our holiday just that much better, as we had gone over for my brothers wedding so a huge family affair and to add memories our daughter got engaged whilst we were all out there.

One place we would without hesitation go back to. Thank you Andrew for the great correspondence from the day we first enquired about your

property.

Wunderschönes, exklusives Haus

  • 5 of 5
