About Rob Rivett

We moved to Brittany in 2008. We spent the first 18 Months renovating our house and the barn conversion, which we now holiday let. We love this part of France with its amazing coastline, wonderful restaurants, forests and meadows, not forgetting the warmth of the people and relaxed pace of life. We of course now enjoy being able to share this with others. Rob and Shirley.

An excellent property to explore Brittany

  • 5 of 5

Accommodation was a very good standard, well equipped with everything and much more than you would expect from a holiday home. The grounds are kept immaculate and totally safe for young children, we had full use of the Summer House and our children made good use of the garden swing and slide. The owners Rob and Shirley live nearby and made our family very welcome, we would certainly stay again and recommend the accommodation to anyone visiting France . Brian and Vanessa

Immaculate, character gite with attentive hosts

  • 5 of 5

By far the best gite we have stayed in, in France. The owners have exceeded expectations of them by providing lots of little extras for the guests - milk, eggs, bread, wine, beer, toys! Rob and Shirley being on site have got the balance just right - their garden is yours throughout the stay and if you see them, they are friendly and accommodating but they also give you your space.

The gite was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Shirley even provided bed sheets to appeal to the various ages and gender of our children.

The resident pets added to the experience with the friendly Max the dog, as star of the show.

Smashing location too - lovely, typical French towns and beaches nearby.

When we left at 5.30 this morning, my four year old hesitated to step out of the front door and asked, 'we will come again, won't we?'

A great family cottage

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time here, the cottage is characterful and thoughtfully set up and attractive and there are lots of things for kids to play with.

The farm/ grounds outside are good, with a slide for kids and various chickens etc to look at.

Bourbriac close by is an attractive town with supermarket and boulangeries.

Rob and Shirley were very welcoming and helpful and have made a really good job of setting the place up.

I would definitely recommend it!

We stayed here for 10 days this summer and absolutely loved it. Our children adored the garden and the field. Rob and Shirley (and Max the dog) were fantastic hosts- very welcoming and helpful and the house was extremely well equipped. It's a great place for families- the outdoor space is fantastic- safe and huge and the house is packed full of toys and games for all ages. Our boys used the single beds but there is also a toddler bed and a cot which I would have greatly appreciated when they were younger. It's about half an hour to lots of great beaches, the local town, Bourbriac has everything you need and there are lots of other facilities, like swimming nearby. We would recommend the Indian Forest nearby- brilliant tree climbing for children from 5 years and up.

Great Family Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We have enjoyed a wonderful week at this property. The Barn itself is a lovely recent conversion and had everything we needed. The grounds were amazing, with lots of space for the children to play and explore in a safe fenced in area. The owners are on the site and were very obliging and helpful and a highlight was the children helping them to feed their chickens. The area itself was lovely, within a short drive of lots of lovely beaches and the Armoripark centre which the children loved. We highly recommend this accommodation.
