Luxury one bedroom trullo with its own private swimming pool. The property has been very well restored by a local architect using traditional methods and craftsmen and thoughtfully and tastefully furnished by the owners with high quality furnishings to provide luxury accommodation for 2 people. Internally the trullo comprises of an open plan living area, dining area and kitchen, a double bedroom and bathroom. To the side of the trullo is a lovely 10 x 5 metre swimming pool. Located at the end of a country lane, the property is just a 10 minute drive from both Ostuni and Cisternino, whilst Martina Franca is just a few minutes further. Alberobello and Locorotondo can each be easily reached within a 30 minute drive, as can beautiful beaches on the Adriatic coast. The airport at Brindisi is less than a 60 minute drive from the trullo, whilst Bari airport is approximately 75 minutes.

Wonderful private location. V well and tastefully equipped property.
We wanted an away-from-it-all break but with some class and Trullo Angelino met our requirements and more. Lovely property, large garden and grounds, great size pool for two, super views and not overlooked by any other properties. A delightful, secluded haven.
An absolutely gorgeous Trullo with sparklypool
Super clean and peaceful, we spent the days either in the pool or lounging about outside. We had everything we needed provides for us, even a bottle if red wine from the vines beside the pool, and olive oil from the trees. Very close to nearby towns, but really who would want to leave Trullo angelino?
A relaxing chilled experience in Puglia
A trullo full of character, lovingly renovated by the owners to a very high standard. If you want to be "away from it all" this is the place to be.
Perfect size for a couple, very comfortable bed, however, found the leather sofa to be a little testing on the back. Thankfully the reclining sun-chairs are a good enough compensation. Fully equipped to a high standard and it seems the owners have thought of everything that you may wish for.
A Webber bbq was fantastic for our fish and prawns, as well as, nice meat cuts brought at the Ostuni supermarket. We had many lovely evenings sitting in the aria, with pool lights on and candles lit, enjoying the star studded Puglia sky with a bottle of local wine.
Definately we hope to return soon.
A perfect place for a quiet and relaxing holiday for two. The trullo had everything that we needed. A car is essential and there are plenty places to explore if you can drag yourself away from the trullo and the pool. Between the small shop at Café Ladies (2 minute drive) and the supermarket at Ostuni (10 minute drive) you want for nothing. Nick and Sarah, who manage the property, are on hand for any problems but fortunately we had none. Their directions from the airport to the property were spot on. Overall a very nice holiday home in a beautiful area of Italy.
Hits the spot
We dont usually ever go back to a holiday venue but Trullo Angelino just hit the spot...... and so we returned to find the same utter comfort, serenity, peace, sense of being cosseted with the beautifully restored trullo, the fabulous pool, aia, gorgeous vineyard/olive and almond grove views, complete with luxurious touches everywhere. Margaret and Wendy have thoughtfully provided many extras that you wouldnt find anywhere else and nothing could beat the house wine and dolci! Truly wonderful!
Trullo Angelino is a dream accommodation and it exceeded our year-long expectations. All dealings with managers Nicholas and Sarah beforehand were smooth and reassuring and the couple got us oriented at the start of our two-week stay.
Our main priorities for holiday accommodation are: quiet, rural location suitable for watching shooting stars; pool; ample kitchen facilities; and stylish, modern decoration. All of these were met or exceeded. It would have been useful to have Wifi, but we were able to connect using data roaming.
The grounds were extensive, with olive and almond trees and grape vines. There are neighbours nearby, but discreetly planted hedges maintain privacy. The pool was a beautiful luxury, but it needs a bit of maintenance, as the liner is coming away from the sides. Nevertheless, it was a real joy to start and end our days swimming, and the afternoon heat makes the pool a real necessity.
The kitchen was well equipped and we made extensive use of the oven, range, and barbecue during our stay. The full-sized refrigerator/freezer were appreciated, and pretty much every utensil and serving dish was available provided by the trullo’s attentive owners. A few things could be improved: wooden chopping boards instead of glass, and a cheap-and-cheerful espresso maker rather than the state of the art coffee machine whose capsules “can’t be bought in this area”.
The bedding was high quality and provided excellent nights’ sleep. The bedroom was the hottest room in the house, despite the available Dyson airblade and wooden shutters to ward off daytime heat.
The bathroom was best of any accommodation we’ve had while on holiday. Despite the age and design of the trullo, all the facilities were top-notch.
I was annoyed at the end of the holiday to learn that our security deposit would be posted to us afterwards in the form of a cheque, as the owners like to send a personal thank you card to each guest. A minor inconvenience, but if someone really needed that deposit money back, it would be a hassle. My recommendation is either to refund the deposit on the spot in cash on check-out or to transfer it electronically. Do keep sending the nice notes, though!
Overall, the trullo was more spacious and luxurious than photos suggest. The furnishings and decorations made this an exceptionally pleasant base for our holiday and we would stay here again if visiting Puglia.
Thanks for your positive comments and rating. In response to the points you raise;
The swimming pool liner has come adrift in one corner this Summer. It will be redone after the Season as we don't want any of our guests to be without the pool. As you say it's a real necessity in the heat of August. We take your point for your preference of wooden chopping boards. But, for us the hygiene issue would be problematic. We do have a Joseph/Joseph plastic chopping board in addition to the glass ones. There is a stove top espresso maker and a cafetiere in the trullo, in addition to the Nespresso machine. We provide capsules for each guests, and to date this has been more than adequate. We are sorry it was not so for yourselves.
We take on board your suggestion for refunding the damage deposit. We will send this electronically in the future.
We are glad that the above points did not detract from the overall enjoyment of your holiday.
We would be happy to welcome you back at any time.
