Jardines del Puerto is a small, exclusive development situated in the twin resorts of Alcossebre/Las Fuentes. The apartment has the best location in the whole of the twin resort overlooking Las Fuentes bay. It is in a delightful seafront setting with it’s own private sun terrace, overlooking the paseo and beach. The apartment's rear terrace overlooks the complex’s landscaped gardens and two large swimming pools including Jacuzzi-type whirlpool and kiddies area. Easy sloping access to one pool. Once inside you will appreciate the exclusivity of your air-conditioned holiday home. The apartment offers two bedrooms (one with spacious en-suite wet room with level access shower) a second shower room, living/dining/kitchen area with a patio/garden area to the front overlooking the paseo, palm and pine trees and blue sea beyond. To the rear, a lovely sun terrace overlooking two huge swimming pools and landscaped gardens, complete with tumbling streams and ornamental fish pond!

The whole site and apartment is wheelchair accessible.

About The Owner

Hi, I'm Ted, I am an artist living in Cumbria in the North of England, along with the apartment in Las Fuentes I reckon I have the two of the best views to enjoy. I am a wheelchair user and bought this property in 2005 because of it's superb location and wheelchair access to all local amenities, I stay regularly and can personally vouch for the excellent surroundings. Why The Owner chose Castellon

As a wheelchair user I love this location for it's level access to most amenities.

The resort has a ban on high rise development which keeps it tranquil apart from the buzz of the July August holiday season.

There is an abundance of fabulous local restaurants which specialise in the local seafood or the Iberican meats.

What makes this apartment unique

I love painting on the terrace of the apartment, the light is superb. I can enjoy the view from the apartment or go for miles along the sea front to the lighthouse one way or into town and beyond the other way. Every day can be different.

What an amazing place,the facilities for a wheelchair user was superb

The apartment was superb,it was my first holiday abroad after becoming a paraplegic ,the facilities was stunning. Everything was in within walking distance. I would recommend it.

Brilliant location and comfortable accommodation

The apartment was probably the best we have stayed in for overall comfort and wheelchair access. It had everything we needed and was close to all facilities including restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and medical centre. The swimming pools and grounds were well maintained and never crowded and while the apartment patio provided privacy it also gave amazing views of the beach and promenade. We hope to book again soon.

Another Great Stay

Our second visit to this apartment and pleased to say our stay was just as good as our first. We have two young boys and the location of the pool and beach is perfect for us. Very peaceful compound and large pool with a gentle paddling section for the toddler. As I am a wheelchair user, the owner (Ted) arranged for a wetroom shower-chair for me which was ideal for me. The apartment is fully accessible and the resort itself is generally step-free. Ted is very communicative and is always at hand to answer any queries. Thoroughly recommended!

A great apartment with everything you could possibly need.

Sun on the front terrace facing the sea in the morning whilst eating your breakfast and in the late afternoon in the small back terrace overlooking the enclosed complex with its beautiful gardens and pools. Very easy to get to local shops and restaurants and the Marina. We would certainly come here again.

Superb 1st class luxury apartment with sea view

This immaculate apartment is set in beautifully landscaped gardens with several swimming pools. The rear terrace overlooks the pools and gardens whilst the large front terrace overlooks the Paseo which runs along side the beach. The accommodation is 1st class and very well equipped. Everything was well prepared for our arrival with the added touch of groceries provided which were very welcome. The apartment itself is very well appointed with the luxury of a dishwasher, washing machine and coffee maker. A superb ensuite wet room was another bonus. Booking and contact with the owner was a pleasure throughout. Ted answered all questions promptly and was very accommodating with the dates. Overall a wonderful apartment in a superb setting and highly recommended.

A SUPER LOCATION

Ted has a super apartment in a perfect location. All you could ever need for fantastic holiday in the sun is at your fingertips.

As a Paraplgic (T12) I felt totally relaxed in the knowledge that the apartment and surroundings were safe and accessible (you can even wheel into one of the pools in a wheelchair).

I have no hestitation in recommending this property for your holiday.

Coast/Beach:

Las Fuentes Beach within a minute of apartment door. In addition, the twin resort of Alcossebre/Las Fuentes boasts several fine beaches - one to suit everyone. The Las Fuentes Beach is so named because of the many natural fresh water springs which arise on the beach, making for a unique salt and freshwater experience with wheelable firm-sand in places (caution with very young children). During the high summer season, the Carregador Beach offers accessible beach services.

Travel:

Castellon de la Plana airport opening Sept. 2015 20 mins

Valencia 1 hour - scheduled services from many UK regional airports.

Reus 90 minutes - Charter flights from most UK airports and daily Ryanair service from Stansted and Liverpool. Barcelona 2 hours 30 minutes - Daily flights from most major UK airports. New for 2010 - Castellon Airport - just 30 minutes! Rental car useful but not essential. By sea - Brittany Ferries now operate fast 18 hour service from Plymouth to Santander. 7-8 hours from Santander to resort.

Distances:

The fabulous city of Valencia is just an hour away.

Barcelona is two hours away.

Peniscola, where they filmed El Cid - 30 minutes and the mountain villages of the Maestrazgo range with 20 minutes.

The Sierra Irta national park is all around the resort and offers extensive opportunities for hiking in the hills.

Further Details:

The resort offers a fine choice of restaurants, offering a variety of fare from some of the finest dining with the best seafood to pavement bars offering tapas and various snacks. Shops, bank, chemist and supermarkets within two minutes of apartment. The marina with its classy boats, boutiques and eateries is just 200 metres from the apartment.

We would kindly request a breakages and additional expense deposit of £100 payable with your final balance eight weeks prior to departure. In the event of cancellation the deposit will be forfeited.

Changeover Day:
Saturday or Tuesday preferred but any day subject to agreement. Check-in on arrival day 4pm. Check-out on departure day 10am unless special arrangements agreed.
