Esentepe, Kyrenia, North Cyprus - Set In Walled & Gated Garden With Many Facilities For Babies/toddlers, Ideal For Families/Couples.

Jasmine Villa is a comparatively new, well equipped, and well furnished 4-bedroom air-conditioned property with its own well maintained private pool set in an excellent location with almost uninterrupted panoramic views of the sea and the breathtaking Besparmak mountain range. The villa is spacious, light and airy. It’s located in a small select development at the foot of the hill leading to Esentepe village, about 200m from the sea, and set in a secure walled, railed, and gated garden containing a variety of Mediterranean plants. Ravines on either side ensure that the villa enjoys much privacy. The villa will sleep up to 8 adults plus two babies/toddlers in cots. It's child friendly, being specifically equipped to cater for young children with a high level of baby/toddler equipment available to minimise what parents need to take on holiday. However, the villa would be equally attractive for adult-only visitors as the children's equipment is unobtrusive. Villa has air conditioning throughout and free Wi-Fi internet access. All bedrooms have black-out blinds - these are particularly important if you do not want to be woken too early by the sunrise.

There is a very generous allowance for free electricity with no meters to feed! Water, gas, laundry, wi-fi internet access, and the services of our local legally operating English agent are also free so, unlike many other properties, you would not get any surprise additional costs during and/or at the end of your stay. These items are important when evaluating various quotations you may receive.

About Neil Rogers-Davis

Owners, Jon & Helen Davis, are a young professional couple living in the south of England. They have two young children so know the difficulties in taking young children abroad. They have therefore ensured guests with babies or toddlers have access to a high level of suitable equipment, ensuring that the villa contains many safety features. They equally wish to cater for adults-only visitors and therefore equipment for children is largely out of sight. Jon and Helen, and Jon's parents (Neil & Rita - who currently act as honorary booking agents - see photo) have extensive knowledge of Northern Cyprus & in particular the Kyrenia region, having stayed in the area many times over the last 20 years. Why Neil Rogers-Davis chose Esentepe

Jon & Helen took possession of this new property in 2010 having watched progress during the building stage. Esentepe is a lovely quiet area set in the foothills of the beautiful Besparmak mountain range, topped with pine trees. It is far enough away from the bustle of Kyrenia - with its pretty harbour - but close enough to enjoy all that Kyrenia has to offer when required. Esentepe is a quaint, largely unspoilt village, and is often described as the gateway to the beautiful but more remote Karpas peninsular. A new but largely deserted highway allows much easier access to the Karpas than hitherto.

We are constantly trying to maintain standards and enhance the property. This year, for example, we have had new walls constructed that now provide a new secluded garden area at the rear of the villa and increased privacy around the pool, and new in-pool lighting has also been installed.

                                                                  The Villa is cared for by the owners and they make sure they have everything you need for a great Holiday.

                                                                  As things wear out they replace and they stay on top of all the maintenance and cleaning.

                                                                  You will not find a better sunset - sit on the top balcony and watch the sun set on the sea just across the water.

                                                                  The kitchen has everything you need and there is plenty of space to sit in and eat. or their is a huge terrace upstairs - looking forward to next year !!

                                                                  This is our second trip to this lovely Home from Home.

                                                                  The great thing about Jasmine Villa is the owners think about and care about the visitors, the cupboards in the lounge have games a puzzles, indoor and out. Pool toys etc etc. My children spent hours playing a simple hoop throwing game, rather than being glued to computer consoles and tablets.

                                                                  The rooms are well appointed and nicely laid out, the kitchen has everything you need, including a cocktail shaker and a book on cocktails (see they have thought of everything)

                                                                  The location is second to none, Ercan is 30mins away.

                                                                  Esentepe, Cyprus

                                                                  Coast/Beach: The sea shore is situated about 200 metres from the villa - ideal for anglers. The nearest beach is partially sandy with a new small beach bar - 10-15 minutes walk away. However, within 9-12 minutes drive are some of the best sandy beaches in Northern Cyprus. Turtle Beach (Alagadi) is long, safe and sandy with an excellent cafe and other facilities. Here the turtles come to nest in the sand dunes behind the beach. Travel: Ercan airport is about 40 minutes drive from the villa. Larnaca airport (South Cyprus) is about 70 minutes drive from the villa. Border crossings are quick and easy. Turkish, Pegasus Airlines and Atlasjet fly to Ercan. Thomas Cook, TUI, EasyJet, British Airways, Jet2, Norwegian, Cobalt, Wizz Air, and BlueAir fly to Larnaca. Car hire is highly recommended as the nearest restaurant and supermarket are 1km and 2km away respectively. We can recommend a taxi/car hire company if required. Local taxis, an hourly daytime bus, and restaurant courtesy cars are readily available. Many car hire firms provide taxi transfers. Distances: Esentepe village - 2-3 minutes drive up hill. Kyrenia - 25 minutes drive. Nicosia 50-55 minutes drive. Famagusta 75 minutes drive. Petrol 300 metres.Kyrenia is an interesting town with much history containing one of the most beautiful harbours in the Mediterranean. To enjoy a midday drink or evening meal at one of the many bars or restaurants lining the harbour is an unforgettable experience. The town’s Byzantine castle houses the Shipwreck Museum containing the remains of a 4th century BC ship. Further Details: The Esentepe area is located about 25 minutes drive from Kyrenia - to its east. Esentepe village and its immediate surrounding area is an attractive unspoilt rural location with outstanding views overlooking the sea and towards Five Finger Mountain (Besparmak). The unspoilt village has several restaurants/bars, mini-markets, a butcher, internet cafe, small post office, a bank (with ATM), medical centre, and police station. A petrol station (with ATM) is located on the main road just 300 metres from the villa. A fairly large supermarket is located about 2 minutes drive from the villa and another supermarket (medium size) is just 3 minutes away with a pharmacy next door. Both stock baby foods and nappies, etc. and a small selection diabetic and gluten-free foods. For even greater choice, there are 3 large supermarkets in Çatalköy 20 minutes drive away. This is a quiet area and nightlife is limited to the bars and restaurants where there is occasional entertainment. However, the Acapulco Resort is situated approx 15 minutes drive to the west toward Kyrenia. For a reasonable daily fee, visitors can enjoy the private sandy beach, extensive heated pools and water slides for children and adults, casino, and other facilities. Additionally, the Resort also has a luxurious spa and wellness centre. The new Elexus Hotel (12 minutes' drive away) also has a luxurious spa with Turkish baths, a wellness centre, casino, and a 24 slide waterpark. For those interested in horse riding, just 15 minutes drive away from the villa is the Çatalköy Riding Club, who undertake trail, mountain and pub rides. For cycling enthusiasts, the villa is ideally situated as you can join the waymarked 230km Kyrenia Mountain Trail, just above Esentepe village, and cycle through the beautiful pine forests (best time Oct - April). Alternatively, cycle along the old coastal road east of Esentepe toward the Karpas peninsular where the traffic is extremely light. Bikes can be hired in Kyrenia. There is a scuba diving club near the power station about 10 minutes drive away.

                                                                  Booking Notes: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total hiring charge is required to secure booking. The balance of the hire charge is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival together with a refundable Security Deposit of £200.
