Ta` Rosi apartment is a modern and luxurious three bedroom penthouse served with lift and two terraces overlooking breath-taking country and sea views. This property is ideal for those who wish to enjoy a tranquil and peaceful holiday in a beautifully decorated apartment.

The apartment opens to an airy kitchen and spacious living area. The kitchen comes with the following appliances: washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven, gas hob, toaster, electric kettle and coffee maker. The kitchen is equipped with all amenities for cooking delicious meals while on holiday. Furthermore, the kitchen accommodates a sizeable table which seats six persons. The kitchen opens up to a living area which hosts a cable TV, DVD and two sofas: a three seater and a two seater sofa. The sofas face a 20 feet glass door which overlooks open country views. The living area opens to a large terrace which comes complete with garden furniture including a BBQ, a wooden table and 4 chairs as well as two sun lounges. The terrace is ideal for grilling some meat while watching the sun set, enjoying a fresh glass of wine or simply star gazing.

The double bedroom is complete with a spacious wardrobe and a six drawer cupboard. The double bedroom also comes with air conditioning, hair dryer and ironing facilities. The second bedroom is made up of two single bunk beds (also suitable for children) as well as ample storage space for all travelling gear. This bedroom is also air conditioned. The third bedroom accommodates a single bed. Bed linen comes at no additional cost and depending on the duration of the stay, fresh linen will be provided.

Adjacent to the small bedroom is a small shower which also comes up with sink/toilet facilities. The living area also walks into a spacious bathroom area which consists of a sizeable bath, sink and toilet amenities. Bath towels come at no additional cost and depending on the duration of the stay, fresh towels will be provided.

About George Debono

My name is George and I live in the locality of Zurrieq in Malta together with my wife Cynthia and our two daughters, Michela and Julia. Azure Bay Holidays is a small family run business which we have established and run jointly for the last ten years. To note that it originally was set up as GCM Holiday Apartments.

How did we start?

The first property making up the portfolio of Azure Bay Holidays was Ta' Kurun property in the locality of Marsascala in October 2006. After 5 years renting Ta' Kurun apartment, we bought our second property adjacent to the first one......Ta' Rosi apartment which accommodates 5 persons.

We have very recently invested our energies in expanding our portfolio of apartments through the addition of two new properties:

- Ta` Gakob apartment situated in Mellieha which is a quaint village in the northern part of the island surrounded by nice beaches and numerous tourist attractions;

-Ta` Guli and Ta` Marron apartments both located in Marsascala and offer a chance for a relaxing holiday in comfortable surroundings; and

- Ta` Kilina apartment located in Qala, Gozo which is Malta`s sister island. The apartment comes with a communal pool, children`s pool, jacuzzi and an external garden. All these facilities can be viewed from the apartment`s terrace given that all are on the same ground level.

What is our motto?

Our motto is to offer accommodations of good value so that this increases the entire holiday package which the lovely country of Malta has to offer to its tourists.

Why George Debono chose Bellavista

Although it is not too far from the center, the area of Bella Vista in Marsascala is very quiet This location is minutes away from the capital city Valletta, Victoriosa, Cospicua,Senglea and Marsaxlokk. There is a direct bus service to these locations while other locations can be reached by changing buses at the airport or at Valletta. The public transport is quite efficient and relatively cheap.

This property offers an escape to guests who wish to relax and enjoy a tranquil holiday away from the hassle and bustle of every day life, Sipping a glass of wine one the terraces of the apartment watching the sun rising or setting is surely a dream come true for all those who are tied up in busy schedules and stuffy offices all day long.

My husband and I stayed in the lovely one bedroom penthouse apartment in the hot month of July and the place is very nice, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. It even had a small bbq which we have only noticed in the cupboard above the oven half way though our stay; we even had a bag of coal and we were able to enjoy a couple of bbq's in the evening on the terrace enjoying the lovely views and the cooling breeze. The views from both terraces are stunning (photos don't do them justice)! Yes, the hill to reach the apartment is a bit steep to climb especially in the hot afternoons, but it is so worth being so high up as from the terraces you can see so much... absolutely amazing!!! George is very nice and friendly. It made a difference to be picked up from the airport and dropped back. Thank you George for the very nice place you have offered! We will for sure go back as we loved this island so much! Marsascala is a beautiful, relaxing, quiet.

Lovely apartment

The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday, situated on a quiet, residential road. It is beautifully decorated and furnished. The lovely terrace is large with two loungers, a barbecue and a large outdoor dining table and chairs. We particularly enjoyed watching the sunsets and the many firework displays from there. The full width sliding doors ensure the same view from inside and, when open, allow a lovely breeze through the apartment.

I would point out that it is a steep walk uphill to get to the apartment which would be difficult if you had mobility problems.

George could not have been more helpful. Before our stay he answered all my questions quickly and fully. He collected us at the airport on arrival and returned us to the airport for departure. He was always available by email or mobile during our stay. He arranged car hire for us , including sat nav which was invaluable.

Marsaskala is a pretty town with many nice restaurants lining the harbour and a lovely promenade from where you can view the salt flats and swim from the rocks. There is a good bus service to Valletta and to Marsaxlokk which are both well worth visiting.

Lovely place

Enjoyed our holiday. George was extremely helpful, picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the end of our stay. Provided a welcome pack which we appreciated as arrived after local shop had shut. The Apartment is up a very steep street so would not suit those with mobility problems. We walked to St Thomas bay- very pretty and an easy 20 minute stroll. Also went to Valletta using the bus service €2, so great value. We ate at restaurants just off the main area and these were very quiet but we got good service and value. It is a quiet fishing village so don't expect much re nightlife but that suited us.

Nice apartment and definitely worth a visit here.

Peaceful location

A good base to explore the island as there is a good bus service from just down the hill from the apartment. The apartment was well equipped and the the balconies front and back had excellent views. We would happily recommend it.

Holiday in Marsaskala by George was great

Ruim appartement met fijne buitenruimte

Dit ruime appartement (huisnummer 54) heeft een groot zonnig terras en ook, aan de andere kant, nog een kleiner balkon: je kunt altijd kiezen voor een plekje in de zon of in de schaduw. Die schaduw was op het zonnige Malta zelfs eind september nog wel eens prettig.

Er zijn drie slaapkamers, waarvan twee met airco. Gebruik van de airco is mogelijk met een kleine bijbetaling.

Er is een ruime open keuken met vierpits gasstel, goede oven en aparte magnetron. Er is een grote badkamer met bad, en een kleine badkamer met een douche.

Het appartement (penthouse) ligt op de vierde etage van een keurig onderhouden gebouw aan het eind van een doodlopende straat. Wij hadden geen last van buren of verkeer. Wifi in het appartement was uitstekend. Denk er aan dat Malta 'Engelse' stopcontacten heeft. Neem een verloopstekker mee.

Wij troffen het appartement vrij schoon aan en hebben er voor gekozen de eindschoonmaak te laten doen voor € 20.

Op dezelfde etage heeft de eigenaar nog een appartement (huisnummer 55), dat iets kleiner is.

De eigenaar, George Debono, is heel aardig en behulpzaam. Hij staat klaar met tips en doet erg zijn best om het zijn huurders naar de zin te maken.

Op loopafstand (met wel wat hoogteverschil) ligt het haventje van Marsaskala. Daar vind je ook diverse restaurants en dergelijke. Wij hadden een huurauto, maar bij de haven zijn ook bushaltes, waarmee je bijvoorbeeld snel in Valetta bent (buslijnen 92 en 93).

Je kunt trouwens heerlijk zwemmen in zee: in Marsaskala is gratis zwemgelegenheid binnen een afgebakend gebied. in september was het water 24 graden.

MARSASCALA is an ancient fishing village (often referred to as M'Scala) with its picturesque bay that lies to the south-east of Malta. The Maltese call the area WIED IL-GHAJN (wid il ajn) and many Maltese families have summer homes there. In the holiday season it is buzzing with activity, much loved by locals and visitors alike. It sprawls at the feet of two hillsides descending from Zabbar and Zejtun. Its long U-shaped coastline and beach, its rocky promontories and its multicoloured fishing vessels give it lots of character. this is enhanced by a big variety of modern leisure facilities, restaurants and bars. Marsascala Bay used to extend deep into the valley to a cave with a natural spring of fresh water where old mariners took their water before sailing. This zone used to be a haven for Roman ships during their long period of occupation.
