We had a lovely holiday

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean and spacious. We particularly enjoyed eating breakfast in the garden watching the view of the sea. We were amazed how quiet it was. There were so many walks from the house, really enjoyed hardly driving at all. The tea and supper rooms in the village is great. There's also a great atmosphere in the local pub.

A beautiful family holiday cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a week in Compass Cottage with our children and grandchildren. It's a large, family-friendly holiday cottage in a secluded village, a short drive away from the coast. A very well maintained, spotless property ideal for adults and children alike. Children and babies are well catered for with cots, highchairs and other items. The village has a very popular pub with a garden and 'Tea and Supper Rooms' which some of our party went to for dinner and said was very good. There are no other amenities in the village so a car is needed for the shops and other facilities, though we organised a delivery on our arrival from a large supermarket. Wendy, the owner, was very attentive and offered good customer service. I would highly recommend this property to families and adult parties alike.

So good we've booked Compass for our 4th season!

  • 5 of 5

My review August 2015 is on this website. We went again in 2016 and all three generations of our family like it so much that we have booked again for July 2017. Compass Cottage remains an idyllic place to stay. It is spotlessly well maintained with a responsive helpful owner. It is spacious, with areas to be together and areas to be apart: in the house, in the front and back gardens and in the conservatory. It is in a wonderful location with plenty to do in the area, most notably for us beautiful walks to the coastal footpath and down to various uncrowded bays and beaches.
