I am a returning customer to Stavordale House, and I have never been disappointed with the accommodation. All the information in the listing is accurate and the property is always well maintained.
I have always found the owner to be prompt to respond to queries and patient when I am indecisive and change my mind.
There are many restaurants and takeaways within walking distance and nothing can beat a walk along the seafront.
I would have no hesitation is recommending this property to others.
I have travelled to Stavordale House via train and car and found the accommodation within walking distance of the station and local supermarkets, and having an allocated parking space is a real bonus in Weymouth should you bring a car.

Avoid! There are far better places to stay in weymouth. When we stayed think they had let out a flat to the council, the noise was awful, fighting every night. Nearly called police on one occasion.
Not good at all considering the price you pay... And you still have to pay for electric on top of that!
We are shocked and saddened that Charlotte apparently had a bad experience. Rather than waiting five whole months to express her feelings, what a pity she did not contact us at the time to let us know there was a problem. We would have dealt with it instantly. Very, very occasionally, even in the best run establishments such as ours, things will go wrong and when this occurs we do everything possible to resolve the problem immediately and to compensate the guest for any upset or inconvenience suffered. The comfort and enjoyment our guests is of paramount importance and we do not tolerate inconsiderate behaviour. We have an outstanding reputation which we guard jealously. We always receive glowing 'Visit England' assessment reports and well over 50% of our guests come back time after time - a clear testament to the quality of our apartments and our unswerving commitment to a flawless experience for every guest. Should Charlotte wish to give us another try she is welcome to return without charge. We do not by the way ever let out our apartments 'to the council' as Charlotte suggests.
What a great find this is. Very well equipped flat, scrupulously clean and very well finished in a lovely house with a glorious stained glass window on the staircase. Very well proportioned rooms and hallway. Fantastic location, very central but still very quiet with the start of the RodwayTrail directly behind the house, and best of all Free Car Parking. An absolute bonus for all those familiar with Weymouth. The only thing stopping me giving a 5 star rating is the mattress on the bed is very hard, which was very tough on my old bones. Mind you it wouldn't stop me renting again. Oh and a great Indian restaurant/takeaway round the corner.

Thank you also for your comments on the bed. We replace our mattresses regularly and we will bear your comments in mind. The best we can do is to ensure we purchase mattresses with a 'medium' rating since people's preferences do of course range from very hard to very firm.
Coast/Beach: It's literally a five minute walk from Stavordale House to Weymouth beach with no hills or steps to navigate. The glorious sandy beach is one of the finest in the country and with its immensely shallow slope it is exceptionally safe for swimming and for children. The views are spectacular with the stunning 'World Heritage' Jurassic coastline in one direction and the imposing Isle of Portland in the other. Travel: Stavordale House is less than a five minute walk from Weymouth's train and bus stations. The nearest airport is Bournemouth, which is around 60 minutes by car. There is a train from Bournemouth to Weymouth and there is a bus service from the airport to the railway station although a taxi is recommended. Southampton airport is around 80 minutes by car. The airport is right next to Southampton Parkway railway station from which there is a direct service to Weymouth. Distances: Distances in miles: Dorchester (historic county town) 8, Portland Bill 9, Abbotsbury Sub Tropical Gardens, Childrens Farm and Swannery 9, Athelhampton House and Gardens 14, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door 15, Bovington Tank Museum 16, Monkey World 19, Bridport 21, Corfe Castle 23, Swanage 28, Sherborne Castle 28, Poole Tower Water Park 32, Lyme Regis (and the famous Cobb) 32, Brownsea Island (birthplace of Scouting) 32. Further Details: For food shopping it’s a two minute drive to Asda. There’s also a Morrisons an a Sainsburys. The town centre is a five minute walk away. A wide range of shops includes M&S and Debenhams plus all major banks. There are many restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Recommendations can be found the Guest Information book. Weymouth’s many attractions include Sea Life Park, the historic harbour, Nothe Fort, Bennetts Water Gardens, a multi-screen cinema, ten pin bowling, a swimming pool and day trips to Guernsey.

There is a standard service charge of £10.00 per person per week. Changeover day is Saturday. Apartments are ready for occupation at 2.30pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. We always try to be flexible in special circumstances.
