Spacious Sunny Apartment in Vila Alba Montechoro, Albufeira, Portugal - Fabulous Large South Facing Balcony AL/2010/132

Our apartment is in a great location and is ideal for families couples or individuals. It has one double and one twin bedroom. There is free WiFi in the apartment there is a TV with satellite TV. The kitchen is fully equipped including a washing machine. There is a large south facing balcony overlooking the pool and beautiful gardens with table chairs and sunbeds. There are sunbeds around the pool and sports equipment available for hire from the snack bar. This complex is an oasis and only 5 min walk from the 'The Strip' where there are bars restaurants and shops to suit everyone. The old town of Albufiera is about 30 mins walk or 1 euro bus/train fare. There are several stunning beaches the closest is Oura beach which is at the bottom of the strip.

About Colin Hatton

We have been coming to the Algarve for many years to my parents Villa in a small village about 20 mins from the coast. We love the area as it has so many contrasts. We decided we would like our own place near the coast. We chose Albufeira because we feel it has everything. There are secluded Beautiful beaches and the walking is superb. But we also like a bit of night life and its here if you want it. We also like to try local bars and restaurants which are usually very good and cheap. We love our holiday home because it is so peaceful, Its like an oasis. The old town is charming and a real treat to walk around the cool narrow streets when its hot. We come all year round and we love it. We hope you will too.

The nearest beach is Oura beach 25 min walk or 5 min drive. It has water sport activities and sunbeds. There are many other beaches being a short distance away.


Faro airport is approx 35 mins away.


The famous Albufeira "Strip" is only a 5 min walk away, where you can find cafes Resturants and bars to suit all tastes. There is newsagent, launderette and an excellent bakery/cafe just a few metres away.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is part of a small complex. There is a reception which is operated by Cheerfulway. The reception has internet and tourist information. There is off street parking immediately outside the apartment and level access. Outside: The pool and gardens are accessed via paths (without steps). There are sunbeds and umbrellas situated around the pool. There are tennis courts and equipment can be hired from the snack bar which is open between April and Oct. The pool is large and has a childrens area and a small pool for toddlers. The large balcony has table chairs and a parasol. There are also 2 sunbeds and matts on the balcony. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: If booking is for over a week we will change the towels and bed linen after a week and clean the bathroom at a time to suit Other: The apartment is accessed on ground floor level and there is a parking space immediately outside. So no steps or lifts.

excellent apartment

we stayed in this wonderful apartment the last week in July. As previous reviews stated this place is very spacious, spotlessly clean and has a fabulous balcony. As well as the much appreciated welcome pack the owners colin and maria have really thought of everything you could possibly need and more. Pubs, restaurants and shops are all just a short walk away. Colin and Maria's recommendations for restaurants were all spot on although i don't think you could go wrong. Overall we had a fabulous holiday and our only regret was we only booked it for one week.

Very nice apartement !

The apartment is nicely decorated and furnished. The pool area is great. And we had the surprise to find beers and all the food necessary to cook breakfast in the fridge. Nice touch! We recommand it.

wonderful , bright , clean , best location.

I came here with two girlfriends and we have had the most wonderful holiday ! Such a beautiful apartment, so clean and bright with air con which is a must in the hotter weather . Beds really comfy slept so well .

It's in such a great location just far enough away from the strip but close enough if you want to go there walking in about 10mins with lots of bars restaurants. We found one right at the very top of the strip food amazing.The old town is a taxi ride away which will cost about €7 again with lots of lovely restaurants and lots of shops . Maria has been so helpful from the start of me booking the apartment to telling me the best taxi to use for transfers to airport ( Yellowfish taxi we used ) .

One of my best holiday! Definitely recommend this apartment.

Great Apartment

Just returned from 12 days in this great apartment. We can only agree with previous reviews that it has everything you need...and more. It is spacious and clean, and the large south facing balcony is such a bonus.

Maria and Colin have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable, including a welcome pack which is a very nice touch. There are plenty of lovely restaurants where you can enjoy fantastic local specialities, (thanks Maria, your recommendations were spot on).

All in all we had a lovely relaxing time in the sun, at a great location, and hope to return again in the future.

Brilliant apartment

This is a very spacious apartment spotlessly clean with everything we needed and close to the top of the strip but without all the noise.

We stayed in July with 2 kids 10 and 14 and they loved the space the apartment had to offer big enough bedroom and more importantly balcony this sits table and chairs plus loungers and still room

The pool did get busy as July but you didn't need to rush down early to get a bed which is great

Wld definitely recommend and go back

£100 deposit required to secure your booking and dates, then balance payable 8 weeks before travel. There is a £100 refundable damage deposit, as this is a self catering apartment we would like you to leave the apartment as you found it. (obviously not clean it).

Changeover Day:
Change over day is flexible.

Booking is confirmed upon receipt of £100 deposit. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. The damage deposit is returned in full provided no damage occurs after departure.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
