Great one bedroom apartment- Peaceful Village Location Close To Ski Bus And Great Restaurant/Bar, 5 Mins By Car From Morzine

Really great, one bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a traditional Alpine chalet close to Morzine. The apartment is finished to a high standard and has a very comfortable double sofabed in the living area in addition to the double bed in the separate bedroom..Warm and cosy with plenty of hot water for showers and baths, the accommodation has been very well thought through and a new kitchen was fitted in 2013. The whole apartment was fully furnished with new sofas, TV, DVD player etc at that time. The living area patio doors open out onto the decking area which has stunning views to the mountains.

The apartment is a 5 minute drive from the centre of Morzine, a traditional alpine village. Skiing from the apartment is via the ski bus (regular as clock work from just beside the church in the village) or driving to either Ardent or Morzine, both an easy drive by car. The Portes du soleil ski area is one of the largest in the world and caters for all levels and abilities. An excellent and new supermarket is only 5 mins drive away and will provide everything you need including bread and croissants. Summer is also a great time to visit to enjoy the walking, swimming in pools and lakes and mountain biking on some of the best tracks in the world.

The apartment is close to the excellent Petite Auberge (restaurant and bar) which is about 200 metres way and open all year round. Jerome the owner, is friendly and welcoming and the steak is the best around! A great place to relax after a hard day on the slopes! It has a pool table, darts and other forms of entertainment including wifi for kids and their all important phones!

The chalet is easy to find and has plenty of parking in its own private carpark.

About Owner

We are a family of 5 with 3 children aged between 16 and 21. We have skied in this area since our children were very young and decided that we wanted to ski as much as possible in the coming years as we love being in the mountains and particularly in this amazing ski area. We live in Chichester on the South coast of England. We visit our apartment as much as we can.We purchased the apartment in 2013. The more we spend time here the more we want to spend more time here.

Why Owner chose Essert-Romand

We bought the apartment in Essert Romand after an extensive search of the surrounding villages for something we really liked. We particularly like the location which we think is ideal for summer and winter. The views are amazing. We are in a very quiet and peaceful village but at the same time only a few minutes drive from Morzine, from a major supermarket, from the ski slopes. Access to ski slopes by the free bus is also very good. Geneva airport is an easy drive as is Lake Geneva.

What makes this Apartment unique

We particularly enjoy the peaceful location, the proximity to all the great local facilities, the ski lifts, the cycle tracks, supermarket and local restaurant/bar etc. Walking and cycling in summer is really great and there is so much going on with festivals around the lakes in Geneva throughout August and local organised events almost daily. The people of Morzine really do make a tremendous effort to keep you entertained throughout the summer and to make you feel welcome. We also enjoy the satellite tv with all freeview channels from the uk and the free wireless internet connection etc The "Petite Auberge" is literally just a short stroll away and provides excellent food during the day and evening and is a great bar as well.

                                    The apartments are very close to the Portes du soleil ski area which is one of the largest linked ski areas in the world which stretches 650km from France to Switzerland. Morzine is a family friendly resort with something for everyone, gentle beginners slopes to extensive black runs. The higher slopes above Avoriaz are permanent snow fields, as you come down lower there are beautiful sweeping tree lined runs into the villages. Snow board parks in Avoriaz and Les Gets are some of the best to be found anywhere. 237 runs, 212 ski lifts and over 60 mountain restaurants. Both French and English ski schools catering for all standards from beginners to advanced. The charming resort of st Jean D'Aulps has its own quiet, ski area of La Grand Terche. Morzine and the lift system is 5 minutes away. Les Gets 10 minutes and Ardent, where parking is free and the lift queues are minimal, is just 10 minutes by car and gives direct access to Avoriaz and beyond.

                                                            An amazing little find!! The apartment is only a few mins drive away from Pleney, lovely surroundings and a perfect place to rest up after a day on the slopes. The apartment was immaculate, very well equipped and very warm and cosy. It is a little compact and bijou for a family of four (2 adults,and 2 bigger kids of 14 and 12) but we could not fault it at all. Would definitely recommend it to anyone and we'd have absolutely no hesitation in staying here again!!

                                                            We stayed here for a week in half-term with our two children 6 and 7 years. The chalet was perfect for the four of us. Exactly as described, very nicely furnished, and very well-equipped. It was well situated for skiing in both Morzine and Les Gets, which are about 5 mins and 10 mins drive away respectively. We would recommend heading up to Les Chavannes, a bit further but worth the drive, great skiing for young kids. Would definitely recommend, and Alistair, the owner, was very helpful leading up to our stay.

                                                            What a great little chalet. Very clean, warm and has all you need for a good stay. Don't think we needed for anything during our stay. Great location and only a 5 minute drive to Morzine centre which can easily be accessed by bus if you don't have transport. I would without doubt stay in this chalet next year without hesitation. Great enjoyable stay with excellent facilities.

                                                            I would highly recommend this Ski Chalet. I have stayed here twice in a small group of friends and it have been very impressed both times. It is in a fantastic location just outside of Morzine. There is a bus stop just outside the apartment that comes regularly and costs only 1 euro 50 each way. It is no more than 10 minutes by bus or car to the slopes giving you access to the area of Portes du Soliel a beautiful skiing location with a wide range of slopes.

                                                            The town lf Morzine has lots of bars, restaurants and shops to choose from. There is also a great pub serving high quality food across from the chalet. The chalet itself is very pretty, clean and comfortable with stunning views of the mountains. It has a well equip kitchen and a dishwasher. There is also a TV with many English channels to choose from.

                                                            I will definitely be staying at this apartment again in the future an would highly recommend it to others.

                                                            Our 3rd stay in this apartment. Very well equipped with a 'real' cooker and dishwasher. The whole booking and access was very easy and everything was clean and in perfect working order. Essert-Romande has easy access to the slopes by bus albeit we chose to rent a car to make things even easier and this also gave us access to different ski stations such as Ardent and St Jean D'Aulpes (don't overlook the latter as it is a lovely area). Highly recommended and great value!

                                                            Fantastic apartment, in a perfect location. We have stayed at the Clos Donne a number of times due to its location to the town of Morzine, with easy access to the slopes of Morzine and the whole of the Portes du soleil ski area. The apartment is very well equipped, so its easy to cook and eat-in if you choose, and benefits from having a good supermarket close by to stock up on all the essentials. The apartment is very comfortable with stunning views across the valley.

Distances: Morzine 5 minutes. St Jean D'Aulps 5 minutes. Chamonix and Mont Blanc 40 minutes. Lake Geneva 30 minutes. Further Details: The apartments are part of a traditional chalet and are in peaceful village but only minutes from Morzine (traditional village) and Portes du soleil ski slopes and many summer activities. Rafting, mountain biking, walking, cycling, swimming, parapenting etc.
