This is a small "caseta" (little house) 45m2 situated on a quiet country road. The building has been designed by a well-known architect of the region with great sensitivity and following green criterion, warm in winter and fresh in summer. It has wifi. There are two private terraces, one in the front of the house and another on the top of a green roof, connected at the large swimming pool (2.50x10m) and the garden. The swimming pool and the garden are shared with the owners. We regret that we cannot offer room to pets. Normally we rent from Saturday to Saturday but out of season there is flexibility.
In the village there is a restaurant and a grocery store, and if you want you can buy fresh vegetables from our biological allotment. Bicycling, walking, swimming, hot-air balloon's journeys, kayaking on the river and cultural tours are available. Girona airport is at 45 minutes, the best beaches of the Costa Brava are at 20 minutes. Also perfect place for visiting Dali's museums, one it's at only 2km. We can give you further information about the region.
My family and I live close to the property. We are open minded and friendly. We have been living here for many generations. My grandfather built the house in 1950 and we rebuilt it in 2009. We put all our heart in this project.
We are very proud of our region, we think it's the best place in the world and we invite you to visit it. We'll be very pleased to show our favorite places around.
You will take with you more than a nice holidays!!!
Mª Teresa purchased this house in 1949
We love this area. It's easy to move around, near to interesting cities, to our best beaches, mountains and also
convenient to visit museums, archeological ruins, ancien villages, natural parks etc...
You will be in the countryside, without any noise except birds and at the same time so close to the sea that you can smell it.
Staying at the property you can taste our traditional cuisine, fresh and organic vegetables, eggs... and our fantastics wines ,of course...

Wow! La Caseta is the most magical place; perfect in every way; fantastic location, stunning scenery, beatiful people and plenty of places to explore.
We loved the beach at Cala Estreta and the pools at Sadernes.
Thak you Teresa& Pepe for being such wonderful hosts. We'll be back!!
Love & Best wishes,
Amanda & Richard,
A very lovely house indeed with all that we needed and some great outdoor space. We loved the pool to dip into on the hot summer days. Teresa and Pepe were very friendly and helpful during our stay :-) We would like to stay again sometime!
Super area with lots to see and enjoy in quiet beautiful location. We enjoyed the tracks for walking , biking and driving. Fantastic medieval villages, great mountains and lovely beaches. Teresa and Pepe are great hosts ,friendly knowledgable and helpful who live close but keep their distance. Recommended if you Wish to stay in real Catalonia not tourist trap.
La Caseta is a beautifully designed little property with everything you would want - inside. Unfortunately, in the heat, you will want to be outside, and that means on a narrow terrace on the side of a road. Once you get into the mood, it's very pleasant to sit at your table passing the time of day with people walking past, but it's a bit cramped.
The swimming pool is a delight - just like the picture, but unfortunately you have to walk up the road to get into the garden, and the only place to sit is on sun-loungers perched at the end of the pool, with no shade, so you tend to go up for a short while for a swim, then back to sitting by the side of the road. The main house faces directly onto the pool across a bit of lawn. Not sure if building work was going on or if the garden was a final resting place for unwanted household items.
Not the fault of the owners, but the horseflies were horrendous - 6 months later I still have the scars! They seemed to congregate at the shallow end of the pool.
We were disappointed at a lack of local information - most owners leave a detailed file, but perhaps everyone uses their phones for this these days - we prefer recommendations from locals, rather than having to read through the guest book for ideas.
This was so close to being perfect, and Teresa and Pepe were very nice, but it would probably be best as a base for exploring (so much to do), rather than relaxing in the garden, so best to avoid in hot weather (insect life and lack of parasols etc). Certainly not a romantic place - too hot inside, no shade in the garden, only uncomfortable chairs outside, views of bins!
Firstly to say that the owners were very friendly and helpful. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped with brilliant oven, the shower room/ toilet was also excellent- ventilation a slight issue but not too much of a problem. The house also had lots of thoughtful touches such as beach towels.
We were disappointed with the outside facilities and felt they did not match up to the description. On the ground level immediately outside the house was a very narrow area fronting directly onto the road which wasn't busy but was not private. The immediate view was of the community dustbin and a litter bin. There were further facilities in the garden above the house (The house is built into the side of the garden)but it would have been a bother to take breakfast up steps into it. It did have better views but the garden itself was neglected, the wooden table and chairs had seen better days and didn't give us the urge to stay there for a relaxing romantic day. The pool looked nice.
We were also bothered by flies, horseflies and mosquitoes -this is farmland area. And it isn't just us, lots of fly spray, citronella candles etc left by previous visitors
Of most bother to us were six thin cats who apparently "belonged to the neighbourhood" The house was a magnet for them as I guess they are used to getting food there. They had fleas which made us very unwilling to let them in the house so we closed doors during mealtimes which was a shame
We did do a lot of sightseeing in the area and the house is well located for lots of activities
Its just for us it wasn't a romantic get away!
Such a beautiful little place right in the heart of lovely countryside. The sunrises and sun sets were astonishing.
Teresa and Pepe were the perfect hosts. They made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The delivery of a basket of fruit and veg, eggs and olive oil was most welcome and lasted us the two weeks we were there!
We have never been to this part of Spain before and were amazed at the tranquility of the area.
We visited so many places in our two week stay I hardly know where to begin. But our most favourite places were the little hill top medieval towns. So peaceful with their little narrow cobbled streets and coffee shops. You could spend all day in one and be totally relaxed.
The coastline is spectacular too, little ports with bobbing boats. View this from the escarpment roads above and you have the best view of all.
But our holiday would not have been what is was without Teresa and Pepe and the cats of course!! Our special thanks to you all.

The property is in a perfect location to visit this stunning area. You have everything close by. Fantastic coastline with wonderful coastal paths. Picturesque countryside with medieval villages at every turn. Try visiting some of those not shown in the guidebooks. There are some wonderful surprises and amazing family restaurants to discover. The mountains are not too far away and if it's cities you love well you can't beat Girona. We love this area. The lovely little property which is beautifully furnished and thought out is the perfect spot to return to after another fantastic day out or you could just sit on the terrace and soak up the views allday with a dip in the pool to cool down. You will love it. We did.
Special interest holidays:
Posibility of jewelry courses at 2 minutes walking. Many international music festivals around the area in summer, for example: festival Cap Roig (Palafurgell), Porta Ferrada (Sant Feliu de Guixols), music of the world (Torroella te Montgri) etc...As well as traditional markets and local fairs. We also have many high-quality restaurants (with Michelin stars) in the area.
The most beautiful beaches around. Playa de Pals 15 minutes drive, Playas de Begur 20 minutes drive, wild beach of Castell and el Crit 25 minutes drive.
if you like wild beaches we recomended "Castell and el Crit" - idyllic place for having one journey in the beach, is a non build up large beach surrounded by pines and with and Iberic ruins on the top of the hill, perfect for having picnic and 'siesta' at the shadows of the pines looking the Mediterranean.
Girona-costa brava (Ryanair) is the nearest airport, 35 minutes drive, possibility to hire a car in the airport. Barcelona airport is at 90 minutes drive. If you want to move around we recommend to hire a car but if you want to stay quiet you can arrive from Girona or Barcelona airport by train to Flaca rail station and then take there a taxi to foixa (3km drive).
Girona is the nearest city at 35 minutes drive. Its old quarter, the jewys quarter is known around the world as well as the hanging houses in the river, i'd recommended. Barcelona is at 90 minutes drive or by train. In Barcelona i'd recomend the Modernism Route, you can visit the Gaudi's buildings (Sagrada Familia, la Pedrera, el Parque Guell etc...) have a walk in the "Ramblas de les Flors" having a beer in one of terraces you will feel the Mediterranean way of life.
There are a whole range of activities available in the area including mountain biking, fabulous walking with both coastal and inland paths, horse riding, go-carting and water-sports including water-skiing, sailing, diving, sea and river kayaking.
There are many vineyards in the area, good wine and food.
All the large towns have supermarkets and banks, most of the villages have restaurants/bars and many traditional bakery as well.
For nature lovers the bird sanctuary of Aiguamolls de l' Emporda near Sant Pere Pescador is about 25 minutes drive.
