Compass Bay is beautifully maintained private community just 1.5 miles from Kissimmee 'Old Town'. Minutes from Disney, 20 minutes from Sea World and Universal Studio. Near to excellent golf, fishing and boating facilities. Close to Publix and Super Wal-Mart supermarkets and shopping malls, within walking distance of many restaurants and shops.

Hi, My name is Ian and I live in Cambridgeshire, England, with my wife Carole.

We both work full time, but enjoy our holidays and love to travel to the sunshine.

Ian and Carole purchased this house in 2009

Why Ian and Carole chose Disney / Orlando

We enjoyed a fabulous honeymoon in Florida and realised that we would love to have a base there.

Having viewed a number of properties we decided to look at new build.

We chose Compass Bay mainly because of its fantastic location, being close to just about everything you could wish for (theme parks, restaurants, shops, supermarkets) but also for the quality of the property construction.

The community is gated for security and has routine patrols by the local Sherriff which makes us feel very safe and secure whenever we stay.

The pool is first class and not usually too busy, so you can always enjoy some time to relax.

What makes this house unique

Our property is tastefully furnished and is our true home from home. It is a perfect place from which to visit the many Florida attractions, but also ideal if you are looking for a quieter, relaxing holiday. The delightful Celebration village, where we spend lots of time, is just 10 mins drive away where you can sit by the lake and enjoy traditional American hospitality. You might even get to see an alligator or two !

Notes on accommodation: This house is finished to a high standard and is our genuine second home. The house is fully air conditioned to maintain the temperature for both Summer and Winter months and all rooms also have ceiling fans. Compass Bay is suitable for families, golfing parties and couples. Whether you a looking for a peaceful retreat or something close to all of Orlando's attractions, this is the perfect location. Outside: Outside is a patio area with a table and 4 chairs. There is a large heated community pool complete with sun loungers, chairs, tables with parasols and a secure toilet block. The pool area is secured with a fence and gated access. There are 2 childrens play areas complete with Gazebo's and built in BBQ grills. Plus a large lake area which attracts a variety of birds. Utility Room: Upstairs laundry room with Whirlpool washer and dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linens and towels are included (except beach Towels). The property is cleaned before and after each guest. Further cleans can be arranged via our Management Company. Other: Dining area with table and seating for 6 people. Free Wireless internet. Free telephone calls to Continental USA, Caribbean, Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii.

Great value!

Overall a really great stay here. Had issues with the wifi that were quickly resolved with assistance from the property management company. Very conveniently located for a wedding we were in town for in Orlando. Clean and updated overall look. The price truly cannot be beat either!

No ice in ice maker on the freezer so it was one more thing we had to go out and get from the store. Maybe provide a larger waste bin in the kitchen with trash bags as the small one was a bit challenging to keep tidy. Thermostat would have been perfect 2 degrees cooler. Would strongly suggest the master bath floor/living ceiling is fixed.

Would have also preferred a larger private patio area - but this is not the property owners fault!

We will consider your thoughts on the kitchen waste bin and we are aware of the mark on the lounge ceiling from the master bath. This was the result of a leak which has been fixed and we need to get the ceiling painted. The thermostat is set at a level determined with our property managers to ensure optimum efficiency of the AC unit. It has been set cooler previously but causes issues with the smooth running of the condenser unit. yours sincerely Ian and Carole

Great place to stay

This was our fourth winter in the Kissimmee area. Previously, we rented townhouses in a resort close by. We rented this house for two months. It was well furnished, very clean, and close to everything we needed. The rooms are a good size, the kitchen is large and well stocked. Living room (lounge) and dining area are bright. In short, a home away from home. We had one major issue while we were there - the washing machine died and had to be replaced. The property manager and owners were excellent. The time from when I reported the problem and a new machine was installed was four days - and that included the weekend! WalMart is a 10 minute walk away. Publix (grocery shopping) is a few minutes by car. Compass Bay is close to major highways and theme parks. The townhouse is at the end of a row and benefits from windows on the side. The one drawback for me is that it is close to Poinciana Blvd which has become quite busy & therefore noisy. However, that is a minor issue as we were generally not home during the day. At night, it was not a problem. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a well-maintained, clean, well-priced alternative to a hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay

Hi

This is a lovely house and complex a real home from home with everything you need for a comfortable Stay iin August and was going to book again but it was already booked. Ian is a nice guy and was very helpful I would always try and stay here when coming to Orlando very convenient for the parks especially Disney plus lots of local shops and restaurants the pool is very relaxing not too busy and not to quite all in all the perfect retreat thanks Ian Debs and Jacob

Great property, well situated for the parks

This is a lovely place, more than plenty big enough and very well equipped. Very well situated for Disney parks (approx 6-7 miles away) with plenty of ships & amenities nearby. Communal swimming pool is lovely & just the right temperature. Only problem with the property is that it backs onto a main road (master bedroom) and can be quite noisy early in the morning. The noise can't be heard in the rest of the house though. Would recommend for those travelling to Florida for the parks.

Very nice home and area, made our stay in Florida great

We stayed at the house for a week, but as soon as we walked in it was a pleasant surprise and felt like home straight away. Downstairs is open and spacious. Bedrooms are clean and certainly big enough! It was an absolutely wonderful home and it was a pleasure to go 'home' after a long day out! Thank you and keep up the good work!
