Built in 2006, this 5000sq.ft (465sq.m) beach house occupies the top 2 storeys of the 3 storey building. Finished entirely in hardwood and natural stones it features 5 air-conditioned bedrooms and four bathrooms on the 1st floor, with the living area above - where it catches the breeze. The open plan, penthouse living area features two lounges, a 14 seat dining table, a barbecue area, bar, library, a further toilet and shower, and a 30 ft heated rooftop pool and wet bar, all arranged around a central open plan kitchen. While designed for guests who want to self-cater there is a full-time maid/laundress to wash-up, do laundry and to clean and service the rooms daily. A cook can however be arranged, at additional cost, if required.
Family from UK (Sunderland). Date of stay - 20th Feb 2011. We had the best holiday ever at Crowsnest II. The location was fantastic and the property was absolutely fabulous - it was the first time we had been to Barbados and we loved it. The people are lovely. We just spent the day on the beach or by the pool and the night time we booked into one of the many restaurants. We will definitely be back. Dav - New York, date of stay - 23 Nov 2010. I recently stayed at this spacious villa creatively designed upside down! The pool and living/dining area are on the top floor! Plenty of room to share or curl up with a good book in peace and quiet on the front terrace. Having dinner watching the sunset every night wasn't bad either... It is a virtually private beach and walked a mile along it up the west coast every morning occasionally running into one or two very friendly locals. The villa is easy to get to and a centrally located base to explore this beautiful island.
There is direct access from the beach-house onto the beach. Turtles nest on our beach and can often be seen and swum with in surrounding waters.
Crowsnest II is approximately 25 minutes drive from Grantley Adams Airport and there is a good taxi service on the island.
Crowsnest is located on Brighton Beach, 2.5 miles north of Bridgetown and 3.5 miles south of Sandy Lane. Kennington Oval is walking distance. Holetown and St Lawrence are both approx 4.5 miles. Watersports are available to the north of the beach and a beach bar/restaurant is 200 yrds south. The nearest supermarket is half a mile behind Crowsnest where there is also a bus stop.
Activities available nearby are golf, sightseeing, waterskiing, swimming, windsurfing, tennis, restaurants, parasailing, snorkelling/diving, horseback riding, shopping, sailing, jet skiing and surfing.
