About the property


Apartments being offered are newly built and overlook Marsalforn Bay. They are centrally located, with easy access to public transport and also the newly introduced hop on hop off buses. Being corner located apartments, both Bayside and Theos benefit from a lot of light and even natural sea breezes.

Both Theos and Bayside offer spectacular views of Marsalforn bay which can be enjoyed whilst relaxing at the balcony or sitting/living areas. Apartments are situated on the seafront of Marsalforn Bay just one minute walk from the beach. Marsalforn Bay is a quaint fishing bay, it boasts many restaurants, diving shops, water sports and boat trips. One can find super markets, pharmacies and all required amenities. The local bus stops right outside the apartment and its only a 10 minute journey to the capital city Victoria.

About The Owner

We are a couple from Gozo (Malta) and we are in our thirties and have four children, 2 girls and 2 boys. We like travelling a lot and are open to home swap options too. You are welcome in Gozo and we look forward to host you on our wonderful island.

Why The Owner chose Island of Gozo

The property was bought to rent out and act as summer residence. We chose to buy this prime residence in Marsalforn first and foremost for its central location and the views it offers of the bay. The area is known for its tranquility and peacefulness in the winter months, serving as an ideal getaway relaxing break whilst it is very popular in the summer months with Gozitans, Maltese people and tourists taking their summer holidays, enjoying waterfront walks in the evenings and dining out in the various seaside restaurants. We use this property as our second residence for short vacations and rent it out too.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is centrally located with easy access to public transport opening access to the whole island. Public transport is quite cheap in Gozo, thus offering a budget way of exploring the island. Also from Bayside and Theos, one can start countryside and seaside walks leading to various villages or bays. The famous salt pans in Xwejni can be reached within 20 mins on foot.

You are also spoilt for choice where to dine out the evenings in Marsalforn or if you prefer you can enjoy a drink in one of the pubs.

We have just returned from our fabulous wedding in Marsalforn Gozo. We stayed in Bayside apartment, it is a lovely spacious apartment, right in the square of Marsalforn with the beach right across the road. The balcony goes half way around the apartment so not alone to you have great views but it has lots of natural light and is very airy. The owners Joe and his wife Claudette are very friendly and accommodating, there always on hand if you need anything. This was our 3rd visit to Marsalforn and sure was the best accommodation we have stayed in so far- look no further, we will surely return in the future, Thanks Joe & Claudette for helping make our wedding/honeymoon so special we would recommend Bayside apartment to everyone wanting to holiday in Marsalforn.

Changeover Day:
Arrival anytime from 16:30pm on the start date and vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. We try to be as flexible as possible on changeover days to allow our guests to take advantage of cheaper low cost airlines.

Notes on accommodation: Children are welcome. Apartments are safe for children. Bayside apartment is fully airconditioned and aircondition is on a pay per use basis. There are also air circulators available to ensure comfortable temperatures. Theos apartment is equipped with portable air circulators. Iron boards, iron and/or cots are available at no extra charge. Linen and towels are provided free of charge. If required an optional garage is available at an extra 30 Euros per week. Mobile Internet wifi available at 7 euros per day (connect up to three devices simultaneously, say laptop, tablet and smartphone) - download limit 4Gb per week. Maid cleaning service prior to stay included in price. If an extra cleaning is required during the stay, this can be provided at an extra cost. Super apartment in a superb location facing Marsalforn Bay. Close to all amenities. It is above a bar but never a lot of noise. Joe the owner is extremely helpful. Our favourite restaurant is Odyssey good food at good prices. This was our second visit and are planning a third.

How do you improve what's already the best!!

Our second stay in this lovely apartment. Clean, tidy, comfortable, and with a well equipped modern kitchen. The owners, Joe and Claudette, most welcoming and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Fresh towels and bed linen on request and it couldn't be in a better location with great views over the bay. Close to many excellent restaurants and very easy to commute, by any means, between villages. Excellent public transport network.

Sitting at the large front window watching a sleepy Marsalforn wake-up is simply the best way to start the day!

We love it!

It's our own little 'treasure island'!!

Happy relaxing times

My sister and I rented the two bed apartment at Bayside for less than we would have paid for a room in a hotel. It was great to have a room and bathroom each plus fully-equipped kitchen, not that we used it as there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The apartment is in a prime corner location, great for the promenade and beach and superb for people watching from the balconies which are on either side of the living room. It's also really close to the bus stop, from where we went on various trips.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and Joe, the owner, was very helpful, even to the point of giving us a lift to the ferry back to Malta. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home from home to stay in while enjoying a chilled time in Gozo.

It has a lift but access to the main bedroom is up a few steps so perhaps this would need to be taken into account if your party includes someone with a disability.

Electricity is included but it's extra for the air-conditioning but we found we didn't need it - open windows gave a lovely through breeze - though it would be necessary during hotter times of year.

The apartment is straight on the sea front, great for all ages. For the time of year we went it was a bit cold, we contacted Joe the owner to see if he could borrow us a heater & he was there within 30 mins, great people, very helpful.

Beautiful views & great location

We've visited Gozo four times and based ourselves in Marsalforn every time. We stayed in Theos (3 bedrooms) as a family of four; 2 adults & 2 teenage boys.

The location of the apartment is very hard to beat. You're close enough to ? without being on top of - the bars, restaurants etc. It?s got commanding views across the bay (and importantly also in the hot weather a lovely sea breeze). You're also so close to the sea that you could easily chuck a stone in!

This is certainly the best position that we've been in whilst staying in the town.

The only way to get even closer to the action would be to stay in the 2-bedroom apartment, which is right in the center of things!

The apartment's great, with plenty of space for a family to spread out in. It has all the cooking & storage that you might want. The extra shower in the main bedroom is very useful for relieving the pressure that a family puts on a single bathroom.

There?s lots of drying space (but no washing machine - so just rinse out the swimming clobber!)

It?s going to be most suitable for a family with kids (of any ages). Although there is a lift, it?s not the most suitable for those of limited mobility, as there?s a little slope to climb up to get to the shared door & a step down to get inside.

Joe, Claudette & their family are lovely people. Very helpful and genuinely care that you have a good time.

All in all; we can heartily recommend the place as a base to have a fantastic holiday in Gozo!

Apartment is situated on the seafront of Marsalforn Bay just one minute walk from the beach. Marsalforn Bay is a quaint fishing bay, it boasts many restaurants, diving shops, water sports and boat trips. One can find super markets, pharmacies and all required amenities. The local bus stops right outside the apartment and its only a 10 minute journey to the capital city Victoria.


Marsalforn has a sandy and a rocky beach, each next to the other. Both beaches are across the road in front of the apartments (20 metres).

Gozo is easily explorable by public transport but in order to reach particular places one would need a car - eg. Mgarr ix-Xini Bay, San Blas and Dahlet Qorrot bays and Ghadira ta San Raflu in Kercem, amongst others, from where there are exuberant views to Malta.

A visit to the Inland Sea and Fungus Rock in Dwejra (UNESCO World Heritage Site) is a must.


The nearest airport is Malta International Airport in Luqa. From the there is a 40 mins trip to Cirkewwa, a 25 mins ferry trip to Mgarr Harbour in Gozo and a 15 mins trip to Marsalforn.

A regular hourly bus schedule operates all year round covering all of the island. Bus service commences early morning and stops late evening. Bus terminus in Marsalforn is near apartment. Gozo offers visitors much to explore from prehistoric temples, churches, museums, beautiful bays, nice villages and weekly local feasts with fireworks in the summer months plus free public cultural activities from time to time.

The apartment is an excellent base for exploring the rest of the island with the capital Victoria and its' churches and open markets only 5 minutes by road.
