This villa sits on a cliff with views north and south along the beach and for 50km along the coast. The architect has designed a huge triple-height living space, playing with light and water. There is an intriguing open staircase, a bridge spanning the central area and a hidden minstrels' gallery. The furnishings are luxurious and the villa very well equipped. There is a huge net suspended over the salon, perfect for lounging - it feels just like being at sea! The heated pool is 16m and is not overlooked so you have complete privacy when swimming and sunbathing. All together... it's another world.
Hello, I'm Peter and I moved from London to south Morocco for all-year sun. Sidi Ifni is a magical place built in the Spanish art-deco style right on the edge of the Sahara. It's easy to spend a lot of time birdwatching, fishing and walking... It's called "the great escape!"
Peter Duffin purchased this villa in 2008
I designed and built the house with help from an architect friend. It's a special site which allows for uninterrupted coastal views. The design plays with space, sea and light. The heated pool is 16m and the terraces are not over-looked. I chose Sidi Ifni because the town is safe and friendly while the region remains unspoilt - we're on the edge of wilderness. If you prefer something 'different' come and stay!
This part of Morocco is unspoilt and the noise of the ocean is the only interruption. Our terraces are not over-looked which offers a rare privacy. Plus we're right by the beach - surfing or fishing anyone? The design offers an unusual triple-height interior with amazing space and light. It's a place removed from the rest of the world - perfect for unwinding from a high-pressured job.

We rented the villa for a family group - 8 in all including the grandparents! The villa lends itself to a great family chill out - there are lots of private spaces dotted around with a very spacious central living area to come together. Terraces everywhere with comfortable seats and choices to lie in the sun or avoid it. It was such a help having a daily maid - she is wonderful and cooked for us several times. Youssef the manager is so helpful - he came as soon as we called and sorted out reservations for trips and restuarants. The villa is bigger than you expect from the photos and it's true what other guests have said - you can sit and watch the sea for hours. Plus we had people fishing and surfing below the villa at times and that was fun to watch. Ifni itself has a neglected charm - it's not a developed tourist resort. We found it very relaxing and friendly. No one bothered us and everyone everyone was helpful if we needed anything. Peter the owner is very easy to communicate with and sorted out several issues before we arrived - including some shopping! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough - it's really a one-off, special place with lovely artworks, amazing spaces and always the sound of the sea!
We had a 2-week trip to Morocco – this villa being the highlight. It’s everything you expect – architect designed for space and great views; it really is a one-off. So the listing is accurate and everything is as described; it’s also clean and well-maintained. Sidi Ifni is a lovely town – we stayed here last autumn in another villa and came back to spoil ourselves with some friends; very gentle and peaceful – we felt safe and at home and no one bothered us. We enjoyed walking and lying in the sun of course. The owner, Peter, arranged for people to come and cook several evenings – that’s a great bonus. [Our first week was at Aglou and while the villa there was good it’s in a development with building work still ongoing plus it wasn’t close to anywhere so although cheaper it wasn’t good value.] This villa is very special so it’s worth paying extra. The views are breathtaking especially walking outside first thing in the morning. The staff are helpful without getting in the way. We enjoyed the Nomad restaurant which is within walking distance plus it’s easy to buy alcohol in Sidi Ifni – not true other places. Highly recommended.
Although it’s several months since we stayed in ‘seahouse’ I can’t forget the interior. I read reviews about the house before we visited which said it was better than the photos – it’s true. The space and light has real wow factor. We had great weather and really didn’t want to do much except lie by the pool and read. It was perfect. We also slept a lot and ate a lot – chefs came to cook for us two evenings which was a real treat. The fish market was another hit – incredibly fresh lobster and sole. Can’t recommend it all highly enough.
The villa sits above an unspoilt beach - great for swimming, surfing and fishing. Be on the beach in two minutes - fishing rods in the garage!
Just 10 minutes along the beach to the restaurants and bars in Sidi Ifni - enjoy the shrimp and grilled sardines at the Bamraan Bar.
Both north and south along the Costa Del Souss you will find secluded beaches. The area remains undeveloped so come and enjoy the wild beauty!
Catch a flight to Agadir airport - our driver will meet you. Then enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive south. Sidi Ifni is a small, friendly town and you can walk everywhere - to the shops, restaurants and bars. For those who prefer driving all the main car hire firms are at Agadir airport.
