Fantastic holiday in a beautiful farmhouse in gozo
Cannot praise Carmen enough for our stay at ta mounsey 1, from getting off the plane in Malta, Carmen arranged a taxi to pick us up drive us to ferry and stay with us and drive us to villa in gozo, the villa is beautiful, clean and full of character, a stone spiral staircase leading to upstairs and the highlight was the large pool and comfortable sun beds. The beds were comfortable and the showers weee powerful. When we needed to do a shop Carmen arranged for Tony the shop owner to pick us up (it is a 15 minute walk to shop) we did our shop then bless him Tony gave us a lift back to mounsey1 and even helped us carry it all in, as our first day was my birthday Carmen helped me book a table for a meal at d'victoria in nadur and even dropped us off there, (beautiful restaurant and meal) they made our stay feel so special. We were at the farmhouse for 8 days and stayed by the pool for 7 of them only went out round the beautiful island one day we had everything we needed there and found it easier going for a walk into the villages at night when the sun had cooled down a bit. ta mounsey 2 is joined to ta mounsey 1, and the owners keep there horses and dogs at the stables just behind the villa it's nice to wake up to animals in a morning. Overall I would advise everybody to book a stay here you will fall in love with it, I have never been on a holiday like this before where the people treat you like this going out of there way to make you're stay welcome one word FANTASTIC. Thankyou Carmen....

Good location, great people, but needs modernising
We stayed at the villa for one week in early April with our two children aged 1 and 5. The villa is lovely and has great views. The central location is great for exploring Gozo, and the town of Nadur has all the basics you could need for food, restaurants, bars and bus connections. Carmen was wonderful and so helpful, and the supermarket next door was very convenient and friendly.
However, I wouldn’t recommend this villa for children as young as our 1 year old. With the stone floors and high stone staircases we were constantly on guard. But for a group of adults or a family with older children the villa would be ideal.
We felt there were a few items around the villa that would benefit from an update. The bedding and sofa feel rather worn out, and it was very cold being in the villa in the evening (although a heater was provided as soon as we requested it - thank you). The oven is also missing some of the outer casing, not so safe for small kids when it’s hot. Fantastic fridge and washing machine. An electric kettle would have been helpful, also a few floor rugs (the floors were so cold at this time of year) and door mats to help keep dirt from outside coming into the villa.
But I would definitely recommend staying here, but not for very small children like ours.
This is lovely accommodation, spacious and spotless. Great pool and sun beds so comfy. Good coal bbq, visit the local butchers for lush sauceages etc. Location is nice, very peaceful, the square is 2 mins walk, lovely wine bar. (Gebuba) The shop next door is brilliant, good value and friendly staff. We hired a car and went all over Gozo, the beach at San Blas bay is beautiful. I would definitely recommend visiting this pretty island. Victoria the capital is charming.
Carmen the manager is very kind and helpful, the owner is lovely too. xxx
Villa is a gem, very clean and tidy, right next door to supermarket.
Villa looks like a little castle, children loved it.
Situated just 2 minutes walk from the centre of Nadur, where you can enjoy the towns square with its very impressive church.
Transportation links are superb, buses are great and take you anywhere on the Island, very cheap.
Places to visit Victoria, Azures Window and for a fantastic beach go to Ramila.
Anthony's Restaurant in Nadur town centre is very reasonable priced and the food is lovely.
Carmen who looks after the villa is fantastic, nothing was to much for her to make our stay as good as it was.
Definitely will be going back
Easy access to the Island all amenities with in a few minutes walk on a bus route so a car isn't really needed, Nudur has a few nice bars but Marselfone and Xlendi are a short drive away (nothing is far away on a small island) Accommodation was was good, pool and surround were nice, looking at going back in 2015
Thanks for your review, it was our very great pleasure to accommodate at our property Ta Bezger.
We are very glad that you had a lovely stay !
Best Regards from Gozo !

A great central & relaxing location
This was our second visit to Nadur and we chose a smaller villa to previous. The location was great - supermarket next door and town centre/square just 5 - 10 min walk, where there are small local shops, coffee bars and restaurants and the locals are all very friendly. Island buses passed by so no need for a car - including 'tour buses'. Places to visit on the island are all very short drives and the beaches are worth searching out. The villa itself was spacious and the pool area very clean (throughout stay) and safe, providing sunbeds, umbrellas and good outdoor seating for alfresco meals. Inside the villa, the bedrooms and bathrooms were all exceptionally clean and the kitchen well stocked. The improvement opportunities are only that the furnishings could be a little updated - traditional is lovely, but a new tablecloth, maybe some throws for the tired sofa/chair and some new fans would have definitely made our stay extra special. The 3rd large double bedroom on the 2nd floor is definitely worth a mention as it has a unique stone, spiral staircase leading to it - an exciting challenge in itself every day, but added to the authenticity of the building. Carmen was our villa representative, who was very accommodating and particularly helpful with our car hire (would highly recommend booking through her at Gozo Farmhouses) and transfers. Sadly, the only thing missing from the villa was a folder with important information about - cooker, TV/DVD, pool etc, plus local knowledge and information, particularly about the area and neighbouring villages/towns to visit - especially when festivals are taking place.
Overall, a lovely holiday destination that I would have no hesitation recommending or returning to.
