About maria luisa venturi
My name is Maria Luisa. I've been spending a great part of my life in this area of Tuscany, which I know very well. The houses which I offer for rent are part of a country estate which belonged to my mother's family. Since I inherited the property I've been spending time and money to restore them and decided to rent them out in order to maintain them in good shape and pass them to my children and grandchildren in the future. I love this job. It gives me the opportunity of meeting new people who sometimes become good friends and like visiting us year after year.

A very special place
We stayed at La Casaccia in August with our 3 children. The house itself is comfortable, clean, beautifully presented in keeping with its age and style, well equipped and there is lots of space.
The views from the seating areas and hammocks outside are just breath taking and seem to change continually. We really enjoyed just sitting and enjoying the tranquillity and landscape. There was lots of wildlife to spot – it was fascinating to watch the boars come through at dusk. We also made good use of the barbecue. The pool area was equally beautiful, and the children spent hours hopping in and out – we were often the only ones using it.
Florence was easy to get to, just a short car ride and then the train. Other places of interest were about 1.5 hours away. I would say that La Casaccia is undoubtedly off the main tourist track – the road from the nearest village is a good 10 minutes with many hairpin bends and often single track. This of course is part of its charm, that it is so tucked away, rustic and peaceful. We had a very special week here, and thank you Maria Luisa for all your warmth and hospitality (and your lovely wine!).
Thanks a lot for this excellent review! It's such a pleasure to realize that our guests can truly appreciate our simple hospitality and our rustic but comfortable property. You and your lovely family will always be welcome!
Highly Recommend Londa Villa
Our family of 5 adults would highly recommend this. We stayed in La Casacicca, a 500 year old converted barn. It was beautifully renovated. It was very comfortable. Our host MariaLuisa was lovely and very attentive. We did a wine tour with her son which was delightful. After the tour we had a wonderful tasting and delicious food on the grounds of their home. He was a great host and we had so much fun. One night MariaLuisa's sister and brother-in-law cooked us a traditional Tuscan meal. It was delicious and worked out perfectly as my son got engaged that day! The setting of our villa was lovely, the pool refreshing, the views were great and it was so relaxing. Wifi works best by connecting by the pool and then going to the villa. You won't be disappointed!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to write such an appreciative review beside the lovely comments that you left on our guest- book. You were the perfect guests and we'll Always be happy to welcpme you in one of our properties in the future.
Scenic, utterly breathtaking!
We spent 8 nights in La Casaccia, and what an unforgettable holiday we had! La Casaccia is a 500 year old barn, converted into two large living areas, 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with bath, other with shower) and a neat kitchen. Considering its 500 years old the facilities made life comfortable especially with a 2 year old. Highchairs, stroller and a junior bed ( advertised as 2 cots but both easily could sleep a toddler). The bedrooms had ample space for storage, with wardrobes, dressers and bedside tables all fitting in with that rustic feel. A large fire place is the vocal point of the living area, with a large comfy sofa, and 2 armchairs making nights in cosy and homely.
We arrived to a bottle of red on the table and a tour of the house by Maria. Charming lady, and there to help and direct you to the best places for meals out. Very quick communication -and nothing was too much trouble. Having Maria and family just down the road made it feel that bit more special. The outside area perfect for bbqs, and simply watching the wildlife, wild boars regularly walked across the neighbouring fields followed by cows, and goats! The whole family loved it.
The pool was stunning - with amazing views. We never used it as was a bit too chilly by end of September but we made use of the green space around the area playing football or just relaxing on the loungers.
The location is around 5-6km from Londa, an italian village with supermarkets, bar, restaurants.. we visited San Gimignano (2hrs - drove) Arezzo (1hr 45mins - drove) and Florence (train). The train station was about a 15 minute drive from la casaccia, journey to Florence juat under 45 mins a must for a day out.
We ate out a few times - Maria provides a list of local restaurants all of which have been rated by herself and others. Our favourites were based in Dicamano, Sergios especially - although the red wine flowed too freely that night! Brings me on to Marias family vineyard, which in July and August you can visit - lovely red which Maria kindly delivered more bottles to the house.
We all left La Casaccia feeling rejunevated. Thinking back, I still cant get over the views, the nature, Tuscany is one of those places where you can see yourself coming back year after year.
I'd reccommend this property to anyone looking for their own Italian experience, Maria is a genuine host and makes booking stressfree!
We hope to be back,
The Moralee Family
Dear Amanda and family, thanks for this wonderful review, so detailed , intersting and full of compliments for our hospitality. ! Anybody would love to welcome so appreciative guests like you who can see how much pleasure we get from getting to know nice people fvrom other countries. We hope to see you back in the future
Very nice stay, very friendly and correct people!
we've had a very pleasant stay at La Casaccia. Very warm welcome by Maria-Luisa, who is always available whenever you have requests or need information on the area. The view from the outside dining area with bbq is stunning. The inside of the house might be in for some modernisation, but it is very spacious. A dishwasher would have come in handy, but apart from that all necessary equipment is available. WIFI was rather poor, especially at the house. The pool and pool area is magnificent. shared with other families, but never ever crowded. It was nice for the kids that they had some other children to make friends with. Guided tours in the Vinyard and the Oil mill are really interesting, highly recommend to do both! Also a visit to Lake Borgomanero, to Scarperia (nice village) and to Poppi and La Verna were interesting daytrips. Thank you very much for making our holiday as pleasant as it was!
A beautiful property set in a tranquil paradise
If you want peace and tranquillity and a traditional property to stay in then this could be just the place. Paula and I stayed here this year while we were married at the local church in Londa. A beautiful traditional stone built property with everything you need including a lovely garden with shade if required. The pool is 1 minute away and the views from the garden and bedrooms are wonderful. The local village Londa has plenty of shops for groceries etc with Dicomono only another 5 mins away which has everything you need. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby which are very inexpensive but produce fantastic dishes including fabulous pizza !! Your host Maria is wonderful and so very helpful and available, I would recommend the Olive oil tour which is conducted my Maria herself and if you get chance a visit to her son's vineyard on a beautiful day is a must !!
Dear Tony and Paula, thanks a lot for your wonderful review.

We lookk forward to your next stay om your first wedding anniversary as you promised.
Fantastic Holiday and Wonderful Place
Maria Luisa is a perfect host!
Our family stayed in Casaccia and La Capannina for 3 weeks to celebrate 2 special birthdays. We could have stayed forever, we were so relaxed and we enjoyed our holiday immensely.
In La Casaccia, the facilities were perfect, the size kitchen and living area easily sat 6 adults. 4 adults stayed in La Casaccia and the other 2 stayed at La Capannina. The terrace in La Casaccia, is so secluded and has the most beautiful view of the stunning landscape, you're instantly on holiday as soon as you arrive.
Maria Luisa arranged for us to visit the family vineyard, which was a perfect way to spend our second last day in Tuscany. Maria Luisa provides such wonderful local knowledge and advice of restaurants, local areas to explore. Make sure you ask Maria Luisa how to get to the Lagoon, what a wonderful natural pool.
We'll definitely be back!
Actually our houses, which are close , but not too close , each with its own large garden, are suitable for being rented by members of the same family or friends for special occasions.
This year they also accomodated a couple who came to get married in Londa and some of their relatives: it was a wonderful occasion for them amd also for us.
We greatly appreciate the careful enthusiastic deescriptiomn of the
houses given by brian and lesley . Thanks a lot!
