About the property

The Stable is a 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom House on One Level with Sea Views

The Stable sits behind stone walls in the grounds of a Grade II listed farmhouse. It dates from the 19th century and has now been completely renovated to provide an ideal holiday base for a family or friends. Sleeping up to six people the cottage has been furnished in a contemporary style to a high and luxurious standard and has its own south facing garden with outdoor seating on the patio with sea glimpses.

With the accommodation on one level, it's got everything that you need for an easy holiday. There is a spacious south facing living room which makes the most of sunny days with a dining area and comfy sofas and armchairs to relax and enjoy a good book or a glass of wine. With a wood burning stove for chilly evenings, a flat screen TV with Freesat, DVD and free WiFi it gives you the perfect excuse to sit back and take it easy.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, microwave and washing machine and leads out into the garden which enjoys the warm micro climate that this part of the Island enjoys and so is perfect for tea on the lawn or a sunny lunch.

The Stable has three bedrooms, two twins which are served by the main bathroom with a bath and overhead shower and a master bedroom with a king sized bed, exposed stone walls and an en suite bathroom with a walk in shower. With pale wooden floors and simply but beautifully decorated, the rooms are calm, fresh and guaranteed to give you a good night's sleep!

The garden faces south and has been planted with sun loving flowers and shrubs which thrive in the warm South Island microclimate. The patio has seating for six and in the garden shed you will find a BBQ, parasol and deckchairs.

There is storage at Buddle Place for bikes and surf boards in the garage and a large sink for dealing with wet suits and sandy swim wear.

One well behaved dog welcome, supplement of £30

About Jay

I was born in Cowes to a family of Dentist's & Sailor's! I have lived on the south side of the Isle of Wight for the last 20 years. It's a beautiful place to live as I love the outdoor life, my hobbies include, fishing, foraging, fossilling, gardening, walking & growing vegetables.

Jay purchased this cottage in 2009

Why Jay chose Niton

Fell in love with it some 30 years ago, but never expected that I would eventually live here!

What makes this cottage unique

Close to beautiful coastal walks all around, St. Catherine's Lighthouse is just around the corner which I feel compelled to look at everyday! Buddle Place is surround by lovely stone walls, the gardens have mature planting with some Mediterranean plants which suit the Micro Climate on this part of the Island.

Wonderful house and stay

  • 5 of 5

This converted barn is in a great location on the island, really close to a cute pub and great walking area by the sea. Jo went above and beyond to create a wonderful Christmas for me and my friends including decorating a tree and lovely additions throughout. It's a lot more spacious than the pictures even look and very modern with all amenities. Thank you Jo! We'd love to come back one day.
