Enjoyable comfortable stay

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was one of many on the developing holiday home site its location was good; quiet and not in a stream of passing traffic. Very clean and very well equipped We did not find anything we had not got. For two it was super; four people unless family or children might not be as easy especially as we had more than our share of wet weather.

Position of the site was ideal and allowed access to north and south parts of the coast, near St Ives and not far from Penzance. We enjoyed our stay very much

Would not stay there again

  • 3 of 5

Property very dark inside, due to large trees. Inadequate lighting to read in lounge area.

Double room so small that you could only get out of one side of the bed, no good for people in their 70,s. Fortunately there were only 2 of us so we slept in twin bedded room. Bathroom and bath extremely small, wash basin far too close to toilet (Head bangingly close! Ouch).

Reasonably well equipped kitchen and good bus service from the holiday park to St Ives and Penzance. Wifi needed in the cottage to check weather and places of interest.

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We had a very nice time the on site, entertainment and pool was a great bonus. The location of St Ives was lovely and also a great central point to visit further pretty towns in the area. We also thought the beach's are beautiful. We would definitely return.

Great Easter Break!

  • 4 of 5

The property was an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. The dining/ living room was well furnished enabling chilled evenings for a family of 4 to catch up with our favourite TV programmes. Our 11 year old twins enjoyed exploring the woodland areas and also using the swimming pool (to be updated in the near future!) It was the first time I had visited the St Ives area, I was not disappointed! The harbour at St Ives is a must (Sloop Inn would be a bonus!), Perranporth is 30 minutes drive and another great location. For a cultural experience a visit to The Minack Theatre is advised, we were fortunate to catch the 'Best of British' show. We viewed many different beaches/ coves, some busy, others deserted. All tastes are catered for!

Clean and comfortable in a Lovely setting

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week at footprints. It was clean and comfortable with those little extras that make a difference. The setting was really peaceful set in a wood which means there is plenty of wildlife about especially in the morning. We saw jays, bullfinches, rabbits and squirrels. Booking was really easy and Ady and Joanne offered their local knowledge to make the most of our stay. A visit to the Minack theatre is a must and we had a great meal at the water ill. Overall a great week made better by the weather. We looking forward to staying a again in September.

About Ady Douglas

We are a family of 4 from Nottingham and We Love St. Ives! We have owned Footprints since 2007 and have advertised on Owners Direct since 2010. We have a vast knowledge of the area and can help you to get the most from your holiday whatever your interest.

Ady Douglas purchased this bungalow in 2007

Why Ady Douglas chose Saint Ives

Our friends were the previous owners of Footprints and we used to come down every June for about 3 years running. When our friends decided to relocate we took the opportunity of buying it because we loved it so much. We still holiday here ourselves in the school holidays with our 2 girls Molly now (16) and Jessica (14) at least twice a year.

What makes this bungalow unique

We fell in love with the place because the girls could play on the grass just outside and watch the rabbits and squirrels. St. Ives itself has some very clean and beautiful beaches and lovely cobbled streets and quaint shops. The park itself has an indoor swimming pool (handy for rainy days!) nightly entertainment but above all the woodland setting is very peaceful and it's a great touring base if you want to discover Cornwall

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Footprints Cottage is well equipped and the added little extras made it very welcoming"

"So sad to leave. Footprints Cottage was perfect for us. Thanks you very much"

"Thank you for letting us stay. A great setting and the children loved feeding the birds and squirrels"
