Recently refurbished and updated, this three bedroom, timber chalet is situated one minute's walk away from a sweeping, sandy beach. It has a large garden with two swings. The chalet is very suitable for children as is the resort and local area as there are many facilities geared up for children. Pleasure Island Family Theme Park is just outside the chalet park as is Thorpe Park Holiday Resort. Cleethorpes seaside resort is 5 minutes away by car.
I am an actress and yoga teacher and live with my husband and our two daughters in London. I grew up in Grimsby and Cleethorpes and moved to the 'ol Smoke when I was 18, whilst always maintaining close ties with my family in the area and my roots.
The Owner purchased this chalet in 2007
My two daughters absolutely love holidays in the chalet. They love the big garden, the beach and cycling along the beach path all the way to Cleethorpes. A stay in the chalet is the perfect antidote to city life as there is nothing more wonderful than to breath the fresh, sea air, enjoy the expanse of the wide Lincolnshire skies and relax in the peace and quiet of Humberston Fitties Chalet Park. Indulging in Cleethorpes Fish n Chips & Lincolnshire Plum Loaf is a given!
The chalet is ideally located one minute's walk away from the beach. It has a very large, private garden and is very close to the convenience store.
We really enjoyed everything about the chalet, it's a lovely location and has such a pleasant feeling to it as soon as you walk in. The garden is superb standing in a lovely private plot. -Angela Butler, Skegness
We really enjoyed our stay in your lovely chalet. - Jen Sumner (Drama Therapist).
We really enjoyed our holiday in your chalet. It was great to have such a big garden and the surroundings were fantastic. Every day we were at the beach. - Meg McHarg
You have a lovely chalet. The garden was brilliant for my dog and the grandkids. It felt quite safe. - Tracey Hall
We used to own a chalet on 2nd avenue some 25 years ago and I have been wanting to come back ever since. In those days, electricity hadn't reached the 2nd Avenue frontier and the only power we possessed was in the form of a car battery to power the TV and a rat-chewed generator (I was interested to see the old generator plinth complete with anti-theft device at the rear of this chalet) to power the shed-based fridge! I am pleased to say that progression has occurred since these (literally) dark days.
As someone with a soft spot for Fitties, I have to say this is a lovely chalet with lots of the original charm and plenty of home-comforts too. Compared to our chalet of old, this place is positively palatial. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of bedding provided and the shower was always hot. The garden is enormous and the kids really enjoyed the swings. It's close to the beach (1 minute away) and the neighbors were friendly.
It's a real shame that the old amusements/shops etc down towards the yacht club are no longer in existence. It actually made me quite sad that it's now all closed (the old amusements are now used to store linen for the caravan park and the roller rink is a car park). I suppose the Havens of the world have to think about profits rather than memories. I'd like to think they'd do something with that end of the park at some point.
Fitties has a very particular type of charm. It's not Center Parcs and nor should it be. If you like the beach, getting up early, the English seaside and the simpler things in life, then you'll love it here. Fitties will always be close to my heart and this stay has re-enforced my love of the place.
Back our favorite Chalet, this year we came on our first holiday with our 17 month old granddaughter, what a great time we had. Lovely new fitted kitchen and new TV. We took her on the rowing boats, steam train, road train and remote control cars she loved it, all within a 15-20 minute walk away. We had a day on the beach with a picnic the beach is only a 2 minute walk very clean and safe. We could sit down in the garden while she was playing with her toys without the fear of her escaping ha! ha! because the garden is very secure. We will be returning in December for our holiday lol. We cannot wait to come again next year where our grandson will be joining us as well. 10 out of 10.

The property was just as advertised and enjoys a nice big garden with swings which the kids loved. It is also tucked away from any roads so is also very safe. Nice and clean and with everything you could possibly need. Two minutes from the beach and very near other facilities so an ideal location. We all enjoyed our stay and will be hoping to book again for next year.
The chalet was great, lovely and light and airy. It had everything we needed. The garden was ideal for a family BBQ. Its location ideal, only two minutes from the beach. I'm looking forward to going back there again.
The fact that the weather was slightly wet did not dampen our 2 night stay during December. The chalet is very homely, well equipped and soon warms up once the oil heaters are on. The owner is easily contactable as we found out (slight confusion over TV remote !). If the chance arises we will try to return in the summer when we can make the most of both the beach which is as stated only 1 minute walk and the garden which is very ample. We are so pleased we payed the little extra over a budget hotel chain as this is so much more relaxing. Thankyou
We came back to this chalet again for a week having stayed there over Christmas. We took our 2 niece's age 14 and 16, we had a wonderful time and the weather was glorious. Once again we cannot fault this chalet, there is everything you need within walking distance. We cannot wait to return next year with our granddaughter 10 out of 10. Macca of Rotherham
Humberston beach is a beautiful, sweeping sandy beach and is very popular for kite surfing. The beach is 1 minute walk away from the chalet.
The nearest airport is Humberside and nearest train station is Cleethorpes. A car is very useful to get around but there are buses which go to Cleethorpes and Grimsby.
Cleethorpes is 1 mile and Grimsby 3 miles away.
There are numerous restaurants, shops and banks in Cleethorpes. There is a large cinema, leisure centre and library in Cleethorpes also.
