Within walking distance of the Berlin's main shopping street, the Ku'damm and one minute way from Fehrbelinerplatz u-Bahn station giving easy access to the whole city via U3 and U7 lines.

About Charlie Best
Charlie is a photographer and Eliza is a film and TV producer who currently live in London. Eliza works in Berlin frequently which is the reason they decided to buy an apartment in this friendly, vibrant city. Their two eldest children have now left school and also love to visit whenever they can to take advantage of the cultural life by day and the club life by night and having a flat in Berlin makes them very popular with their friends!

Why Charlie Best chose Wilmersdorf
We bought the apartment in 2007. Having looked at several others all over the city we were immediately attracted by the combination of space and light, and the fact that many of the period features were still intact. We subsequently renovated the whole flat replacing the small kitchen with an open plan one, removing the false ceilings to reveal the full 3.5m ceiling heights throughout and modernising the bathroom. Having stayed with friends in trendier areas like Mitte and Kreuzberg we decided, like many Berliners, that a good nights sleep was preferable to nightlife on the doorstep and so the quieter area of Wilmersdorf with its excellent u-bahn links offered the perfect balance of calm, value and location.

Great apartment - great city
The apartment is huge with two double bedrooms and a single, large living and dining area and very well equipped kitchen. It is a short walk from the nearest U-Bahn station and close to a number of supermarkets and other shops. It was an excellent location to explore the city with access to the centre and outer areas very easy from where we were. The contact with the host was first class and responses were very quick.
There is loads to see and do in Berlin and it is not expensive, especially for a capital city. We bought four welcome cards for the days that we were there which gave free transport on all buses, trains and trams and discounts to many of the main attractions as well as some restaurants.
We (family of 3 adults and one teenager) spent 6 days in Berlin and all of us loved the apartment and the city. We have already decided that we will come back and Charlie's apartment would be our first choice of place to stay.
Both the apartment and Berlin highly recommended.
Great space in convenient neighborhood
The apartment is spacious and comfortable. It is well-located on a charming street, very close to the U-Bahn. It's a short trip to the center of town. I would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic apartment and nice location in West Berlin
We stayed for a week and fell in love with the apartment and the area too. The restaurant down the road was a great place to wind down at the end of the day - lovely traditional german food, beer and staff. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed. We loved it all. Simon
The apartment was great and beyond our expectation
The space is bright, modern and comfortable. The location is very convenient esp for getting into the heart of town. Located in a quiet street, it is surrounded by some charming local restaurants which come highly recommended by our host Charlie and they did not disappoint! Staying here made our new years celebration one we will not forget.
Had a brilliant time at this apartment for 5 days in October 2015. The apartment is modern, clean and welcoming. Very close to U-bahn & local supermarket making it very easy to get around. Very safe close/neighbourhood & friendly neighbours. Everything you could possibly need within the apartment including MP3 dock, hairdryers, TV, books, DVDs, washing machine etc. Charlie couldn't have been more helpful from helping us to find our way from the airport to recommending us local eateries. Our only regret is that we couldn't make more of the balcony due to the colder weather. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for a very reasonable price and if I ever return to Berlin, this gorgeous flat will be my first choice.
Spacious flat lovely area
This is a lovely spacious flat in a charming area. We travelling with three teenage children in the summer while it was hot. We used many of the recommendations left by Charlie including some excellent restaurants just down the road. The U bahn is very close as are supermarkets. You can visit the historic center easily. We also travelled to an outside pool and the lakes to swim. One minor thing to note is the flat is on the fourth floor. In short great location, great, access to other areas and a beautiful flat. The apartment is situated in the west of the city where there are lakes and beaches. From the U-bahn stop at the end of the road you can take the underground train for 9 stops to a lovely wood and swimming lake.
Tegel airport is a 15 minute taxi ride, or 25 mins on public transport. Schonenfeld airport is 40 minutes by either express bus or train.
Our local U-bahn station (Fehrbelliner Platz) has two lines and is only a 1 minute walk from the apartment. From there you can access the very good city transport system.
