Holiday Home in Woolacombe, North Devon - 2 mins walk to the Beach and 15 mins to Village. Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms) + cot

Beautiful 2 bedroom house on the border of Woolacombe / Mortehoe. Southerly facing, looking out over 3 different beaches to the south and Lundy Island to the west. Previously the end of a popular hotel this house is wonderfully sunny and bright without being hot. The bedrooms are all downstairs and open out onto a sunny patio with beach view. The upper balcony has the same view, extending out from the living area, making a great spot to watch the amazing sunsets with a cool drink! Linen, big white fluffy towels and beach towels are included, along with a welcome pack of food and wine. In easy reach of beaches, coastal walks, local bars & restaurants, this fresh, light and modern house makes a superb holiday property providing comfort, luxury and practicality whilst enjoying one of the best locations in the surrounding area. We are a totally "pet free" house so please don't ask to bring one, well behaved or otherwise. We have many people who come back year on year with pet allergies so like to make sure this is a relaxing environment for them and any other non pet families.

About Helen Gray

Hi, we are Mike and Helen who moved to Woolacombe from London in 2006 to start a family. We now live in the village with our 2 children and wouldn't give up the beach life for anything!

We lived at the House at Pebbles initially but after our 2nd child was born we moved to a bigger house, which we also now let in the summer while we are on holiday.

We love our summer holidays and therefore are happy to share our houses with like-minded people who we know will look after it and enjoy the area and the safety for children as much as we do.

Why Helen Gray chose North Devon

We bought the House at Pebbles when it was being converted and fell in love with it instantly, purely because of the view. We like being close enough to do things in the village but far enough out to be quiet and away from the crowds. The short, but vertical walk up the hill to Mortehoe brings you to a quaint little village almost stuck in time with lovely country pubs and beautiful coastal walks.

Great accommodation with stunning views

The property was very well equipped, clean and maintained to a high standard. The views from the property were better than expected and there is easy access to all the local amenities. The owner provided us with wonderful customer service that included accurate directions, useful information for the area and a very thoughtful welcome pack of food and drink. Would definitely recommend this to my friends.

Comfortable, clean,well equipped, holiday home with fantastic views

The property was as described and more. The only owner telephoned me the day before our holiday started. She was very helpful and answered my questions. On arrival we found lots of welcome treats, i.e. Cream tea, wine, sweets, milk and tea. The property was in good condition and very clean.

We couldn't have had better weather sunshine every day. Set in a very peaceful spot no traffic noise, easy access to beach and lots of walking routes. The nearest shop is a good 10 minute walk away but an easy drive.

We felt so at home, would love to visit again and definitely will recommend to family and friends.

I'm home now 3 hours since leaving woolacombe, it's pouring with rain so I'm going to sit down and look at all our wonderful photos.

Relaxing Holiday

We had a fantastic week staying at Pebbles, the weather was kind.

The house was in a great location with awesome views, it was beautifully presented with all the necessities you could wish for, even chocolates and bottles of wine.

We would definitely recommend staying here to family and friends and will probably return ourselves at some point.

Room with a wonderful view.

We stayed for seven days at the 'House at Pebbles' and found it to be exactly as advertised. From the moment we set foot through the door, we were welcomed warmly into this beautiful property. The generous Welcome Pack offered treats which continued throughout the week. The house itself was in a wonderful location overlooking the beach and the sea, with access to a patio and a balcony. Every comfort was provided and it was furnished thoughtfully to a very high standard. Parking is provided behind the property, and there are good places to eat nearby. We would heartily recommend this property, and its location, with its great choice of places to visit, such as the Chichester Arms in Mortehoe (great food and warm hospitality), surfing lessons on Woolacombe Beach, Hartland Quay (for its stunning geology, and traditional 'Wreckers/Smugglers' pub), Ilfracombe, Lynton and Lynmouth, Arlington Court (National Trust). Just watching the sea and sky changing from one's living room or even, sitting up in bed, has to take some beating!

Notes on accommodation: Central heating and all electricity included, however heating is rarely needed in the summer months. Suitable for children as patio is enclosed and gated. Balcony is also children safe. We have full broadband connection for complete access to emails and internet along with Sky TV with Sky plus for recording live TV if the weather is so nice you cant stay in! We also provide and Ipod dock and speakers. Provided for babies: Cot, High Chair, Changing mat, Toys, Baby gate. There is a chemist in the village that stocks nappies, formula, bottles etc. Outside: Entrance is gained on ground level directly from the car park which has space for 1 car, with additional parking available if required.
