About Mary Hallam
We are a couple with 3 grown up children and 2 grandchildren. We spend as much time as we can in our home in Tobago, and have made many good friends there. We have always been in love with the Caribbean, and, after visiting friends in Tobago a few years ago we decided to take the plunge and buy a home of our own. A decision we both agree was a splendid one. Our children and friends are always keen to join us for a vacation whenever they can. Its a perfect holiday location in any season. We love having all the facilities right on our doorstep, and of course the pool and the beaches are perfect for all ages. Our children enjoy a variety of water sports, and we all enjoy guided walks into the interior where there are some splendid waterfalls to dive into after a long hot trek.
Mary Hallam purchased this Villa in 2007
Why Mary Hallam chose
We didn't choose Tobago, Tobago chose us. That is perfectly true. We were invited to visit friends who own a property there. After a week of driving round the island, finding hidden bays, enjoying the wonderful scenery and fabulous beaches, and enjoying some incredible sunsets, not to mention the rum punch 'sun downers' at Canoe Bay, we were hooked! We chose to buy in Tobago Plantations for a variety of reasons. The golf course is amazing, and there are numerous facilities on our doorstep. It's a short walk to our local beach, and a 10 minute drive to numerous other great beaches. The hotel on the Plantation is very convenient for lazy lunches & sundowners on the water. The variety of watersports was an important factor for the older members of the family. It is peaceful and tranquil.
What makes this Villa unique
We bought in Tobago Plantations as our first impression of it was that it is clean, green and serene. There are trails all round the golf course in which you can enjoy a walk /cycle, and marvel at the incredible diversity of fauna and flora. The birdsong on these early morning/evening walks will bring a smile to your face & put a spring in your step! On the Island as a whole, there are more bird species than the rest of the Caribbean combined. We chose our house for it's location, large size and views. The private tropical gardens and the pool area are perfect for sun bathing. Whilst the covered veranda's upstairs and downstairs are ideal for shade and peaceful reading. Al fresco dining is a big plus & great fun in a large space. It's a fabulous and happy vacation home. We never tire of it
