About David and Liz Mathieson
My husband David and I have always loved Cornwall and spent many happy holidays in the county while our children were growing up. We've dreamed of owning a holiday home in St Ives since the very first time we came to this beautiful seaside and harbour town, over twenty years ago. Once our three children had flown the nest we moved from Berkshire to Devon and shortly afterwards, our long held dream came true, and in 2009 we saw, fell in love with, and bought One Ocean Breeze. In 2011, with retirement approaching, we moved to West Cornwall, so we can now manage the apartment ourselves. Over the past four years we have made various changes and improvements and have now welcomed over 300 happy holiday makers - most of whom are reluctant to leave!

Amazing stay in St Ives
We are a group of 3 adults from Australia and could not have chosen better than this beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, well equipped, great location apartment. Owners were very welcoming and most helpful with advice of the surrounds.
We explored all corners of St Ives and with a great bus and train service we were able to venture further, we had the best time ever. At the end of each day it was just a short walk to one of the many local pubs or restaurants for dinner, so many to choose from.before retiring back to One Ocean Breeze, it was like home away from home.
For a break from eating out the lovely kitchen has everything you could possibly want to prepare a meal yourself.
We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely apartment.

What a beautiful place! so clean and everything you could wish for! opposite the car park which is a big plus in St Ives, and facing the sea also! walking distance to everything we wanted, will defo return very soon! we have stayed loads of places in St Ives and this is the best, lovely owners as well!

A beautiful spacious department. The owners made us feel very welcome and the facilities at the apartment are excellent. Would highly recommend this property and would definitely look at booking again for later in the year.

St Ives Holiday
Family of four adults (2 x parents and 2x teenage sons). Apartment very spacious, enough space for everyone. Facilities excellent, shower in main bedroom en-suite fantastic! Location is perfect, close to the town centre and main beach. Having secured the perfect parking space adjacent to the apartment we didn't move the car all week - which is probably the only negative with St Ives - parking! If you want to use your car during the week be prepared to use a lot of time finding car parking spaces.
Overall we had a great week and would recommend this apartment. The main beach and Tate gallery are a short (downhill) walk away. Restaurants and bars are equally close, again downhill into the town. A good selection of shops including CoOp supermarket are within a five minute walk.
Whilst the apartment is on the ground floor and access is good, St Ives is not friendly if you have a walking disability and find hills difficult - beware!
Given the excellent rail links into St Ives it would be possible to visit without a car and have a great time.

One Ocean Breeze apartment occupies a prime location above the Tate Gallery, is a 2 minute walk to Porthmeor Surfing Beach, and is within easy walking distance of the other 3 main beaches in St Ives - Porthminster, Porthgwidden and the Harbour Beach.
The South West Coast Path to Zennor can be accessed easily, within 5 minutes.
A car is not necessary in St Ives, which has its own railway station at the end of a short but very scenic branch line from St Erth, where most main line trains call. There are also good bus links to and from St Ives.
As with most of the holiday properties located near the centre of St Ives, the apartment doesn’t have its own allocated parking. Barnoon Car Park, with approximately 85 spaces, is immediately opposite One Ocean Breeze and is very convenient. From Easter through to September it does get very busy though and even having a valid car park ticket does not guarantee a space. It may be necessary, therefore, to park in Trenwith Car Park near the Leisure Centre or at the Rugby Club in Alexander Road.
