One bedroom popular cute & cosy Fisherman's cottage converted in 2012, just a 2 minute walk to the beech. Sleeps 2/3. Ideal for a couple to relax or a young family to enjoy a simple bucket and spade holiday. It is compact little cottage, which offers great value. This 250 y o cottage is a traditional Fishermans dwelling, which would have had fishing nets hanging from first floor external door on ropes with pulleys to bring them in when dry. Entertainingly, the first floor door was called the Mother in laws door!!'😀Pay-as-you-go electric meter, which is a small additional cost £10 per week in summer up to £20 in winter. Free WI FI. Free parking is available close by, comprehensive details will be provided close to arrival.

Excellent bade for a relaxing stay
This cottage is exactly as described and the photos are totally accurate (not always the case). The cottage is small but compact and had everything we needed during our stay. It is set back from the main road but was surprisingly quiet, considering how close it was to "the hub". Plenty of pubs and restaurants to chose from and a good base for touring the local area. Good customer relations from the owner and all the access info etc was spot on. Would definitely reccomend this property.
Great review, thank you. I'm really pleased you had s nice stay in this popular cottage
Cottage conveniently located for the coast and Norwich
The cottage was adequate for our needs, however the decor is in need of refreshing, particularly in the bathroom which smelt strongly of damp. I would rather the extras charges for cleaning, electricity etc. were included in the cost of hire, even if that was slightly increased, when you are on holiday you do not expect to have to go to a newsagents to pay for the electricity. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen although compact had everything we required. I thought parking might be an issue, but as it was not the main season and we were out during the day we parked in the shopping street at night.
it was lovely
It was lovely and petty cottage and holiday.
Got everything that you would need in a great location
The cottage is ideally located off Sheringham high street. We parked the car on a side street at the beginning of the week and then used the trains to get anywhere we wanted, or stayed within Sheringham.
The cottage is very small but is good for two people. Bar an oven (although there wouldn't be room for one), the kitchen has what you need and enough crockery and cutlery. The dishwasher is a bonus too. There's plenty of places to eat nearby if you don't want to cook.
There is not a huge amount of storage, but we managed by leaving certain items (beach stuff mainly) in the car and collecting it when needed. Not that we used this much as it was really cold when we were there, however there are a number of electric heaters in the cottage to make sure we weren't cold. These didn't run up too much of an electric bill either.
All in all, a nice, cosy, well-located property.
small but good location for amenities and sea front
really enjoyed our stay in sheringham at flint cottage close to all ameneties, yet tucked away up quite entry away from the main street.everything in there you need apart from washing machine.but there is a laundrette not to far away.we stayed for 13 nights and had no problems would stay there again. or maybye in the beach hut next to it which is a little bit bigger.don and gill younger .Melbourne Derbyshire. p.s. could have been a bit cleaner.
Small, very central. Good value..
Overall very good. Enjoyed the central location and was impressed with the detailed helpful advice about parking. Overall the property was good. The bedroom would have been much more comfortable without the single bed. This made it very cramped. All the facilities were seemingly designed for two people so could not see the point of the extra bed. Instructions in the property were again overall very good with the exception of the advice re adding electricity. No advice was found in the house and it was only meeting the ex "housekeeper " who showed us where to "add" the electricity. Otherwise we would have had to ring the owner. There was a booklet giving details of previous tenants additions but that did not give the advice we and future tenants need.
Bathroom could do with a refresh in the not too distant future. Overall we felt the property was good value. We would certainly look at owners direct in future.
Coast/Beach: The beach is 2 minute walk away along the main High Street. Sheringham has a lovely promenade. The beach at low tide is sandy, ideal for making sand castles. At high tide the beach is shingle. Rock pools at West Runton, just 5 minutes away. Travel: Sheringham main line station (Norwich 1 hour) or the famous Poppy line steam railway station is just one minute walk away. Driving time from Norwich airport is 30-40 minutes. Coastal Hooper service runs from Railway Station, take bus either way along coast all year round. Distances: Holt for designer shopping is 10 minutes away by car or why not go by steam train! Cromer is 10 minutes away by car to test your crabbing skills on the pier. Sheringham Park NT is just 2 minutes away by car, climb the massive Gazebo for the best view in Norfolk. Muckleburgh military collection just 5 minutes by car, drive a tank rather than your car! Blackney point is 15 minutes away by car to enjoy a boat trip to watch the seals. Further Details: You’ll be spoilt for choice with several fine fish and chip shops, choice of exotic takeaways, great pubs a range of cafes and a selection of restaurants. Alternatively you could purchase Shellfish from the “Stall” towards the front. Beach hut seaside café on the Promenade. Our daughter Ellie loves the cafe as she loves their little dog! Whelk Coopers tearooms overlooking the sea on the Promenade. Lunch box on the High Street is recommended for sandwiches. Number ten very good for lunches and evening meals. No One the Bistro overlooking the sea we have heard is very good. Thai restaurant on High Street towards the Seafront. We’ve had a lovely evening meal here, without the kids? Our favorite Fish and chip shop is the tiny one just past Sainsbury’s or the yellow fronted F&C shop down the street opposite.
