Lovely modern 2 bedroom villa/apartment - one of two apartments for rent within this beautiful contemporary villa in very tranquil area.

Situated in a stunning mountain setting the villa is in an elevated position and commands the most spectacular views of both sea and mountains from all rooms - and early risers will experience the most beautiful of sunrises over the bluest Mediterranean sea.

Only a short walk to tennis courts, horse riding stables (a moonlight ride down to the beach comes highly recommended), boules court, children's play area , community pool & gardens, bars & restaurant .

The mountain setting makes it an ideal location for both keen hikers and cyclists - from right outside your front door.

A short distance from Port Aventura theme & water park, 18 hole Bonmont golf course, fishing on the Ebro river & all types of outdoor and water sports. Towns, fabulous beaches and seafood cafes all close by.

Day trips to cities of Tarragona & Reus - and of course Barcelona via the train from the local staion (7 mins from villa) to the city centre (Gracia/Las Ramblas)- approx 1.5 hr journey if you don't feel like driving.

Also Ideally situated to visit the famous and prestigious wine producing regions of DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant , which between them have over 45 cellers offering wine tasting tours. This region also produces the highly prized Siurana olive oil, much coveted by the worlds most fashionable restaurants and shops - a truly gastronomic area to explore.

For a glorious stress relieving day you could take a visit to the local spa and therapy centre ......

or simply relax on a lounger on your very own private terrace, taking in the most beautiful scenery and fresh air - watching beautiful sunsets & listening to birds with cocktail in hand - or perhaps a glass of that wonderful local wine !

THE villa was lovely! Terrace lovely with fantastic views & pool was welcome relief on the hot days. Clean & very well equipped. Area very peaceful, quiet and private. Local beaches clean & not too crowded.

Recommend train from local town to Barcelona-easy and very reasonably priced. Visited Portaventura theme park for the day-very enjoyable & evening fireworks & water display were just spectacular.

LOVED your villa.Just perfect for a relaxing break;especially the stunning views from balcony. Pool situated overlooking the mountains & the valley brought it into a very special category. Vista constantly changes - some mornings we woke to find the mountains shrouded in mist others bright sunshine flooded the valley. In the evenings we sat on the huge veranda with the little village perched on the other side of valley-bliss! 2012

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Suala. We would love to be back there right now by the pool!! The views were simply stunning and it was in such a peaceful area. It was a wonderful holiday and we enjoyed going to Barcalona for 3 nights afterwards to extend our stay in Spain.

We had a wonderful holiday at Casa Suala - the weather was lovely although it seems a long time ago now. We loved the villa and its location - we could've looked at the view forever. It was very well kitted out with everything we needed - we can't really think of anything that was missing.

What's Missing ?

We've just returned from our stay here.

The premises matched the description. The view is stunning - easily the best we've encountered on our travels to Owners Direct premises. It was well fitted out and we had excellent support from the local representative, Vivien. The gas barbecue was a real asset and we had many excellent meals on the terrace as the sun set. The property was clean throughout.

However it's what isn't mentioned that prevents a higher rating from us. It is not clear from the description that there is an apartment connected to the complex below. The guests there were very nice but it was disappointing to us that the accommodation wasn't as solitary as we'd expected.

Also the top tier is out of bounds. Although the description states that all rooms lead to the terrace it only becomes clear having stayed there that access is limited to the one floor. Frequent use of the term "villa" and the main photo also lend to this impression. The distinction needs to be clearly made. Even the guests below who'd tried to book our accommodation were under the impression that the it was over two floors.

We may not have booked if we'd known this.

So it didn't tick all of our boxes. But if you book with this in mind, you'll enjoy the superb views, modern clean facilities, excellent beaches and what the area has to offer.

Coast/Beach:

Only a 5 minute drive to Miami Playa and Hospitalet towns and beautiful long golden sandy beaches and smaller sandy coves. A small yacht marina by the lovely Crystal beach at Hospitalet has many small bars and seafood restaurants. 30 minutes drive and you could be fishing or canoeing on the Ebro river, bird watching pink flamingos among the many other species on the Ebro Delta, or just partaking of the Delta’s famous fresh seafood and paella.

Short drive to cambrils and Port Aventura .

Travel:

Nearest airport at REUS - around a 25 min drive. Reasonably priced flights with RyanAir from UK airports also find charter flights with : Thomascook, Thomson and First Choice. EasyJet, Jet 2 and other charter and scheduled flights. Car hire is recommended and available at the airport, Hertz, Europcar and Solmar have been recommended. BARCELONA airport & city is just over an hour drive or 1.5 hr train journey to/from local station.

Distances:

Should a trip to a big city be the order of the day, Barcelona is about an hour away by car or there’s an excellent local train service which takes you right into the centre in around 90 mins. However, should you want somewhere a bit closer to home, TARRAGONA with it’s great shopping, Roman archaeological sites and beautiful old town-full of bustling squares lined with restaurants and cafes-is around a 20 minute drive away and well worth a visit - as is indeed the lovely old town of REUS.

Further Details:

There is so much to do in the immediate area, from cycling, walking and hiking to mountaineering and rock climbing. Guides and instructions are easily available and bicycle, moped, quad bikes and tri bikes are also all available for hire locally. The coast obviously has a lot to offer with regard to cuisine and some of the finest dining out can be had in the area with the huge variety of both sea food and mountain recipes. Also of course there are those beautiful sand beaches and beach sports. The larger sailing and motor boats can be chartered from the marine and fishing port of Cambrils, a lovely lively town and port in which fortunately high rise building is not allowed. For the youngsters or brave and young at heart, take a trip to Port Aventura theme park 20 minutes away or sample the bars, restaurants and nightlife in Salou.
