Casa dos Caracois is an exceptional property situated in the Eastern Algarve halfway between Faro and Tavira. Unlike many rental villas Casa dos Caracois has the benefit of being a true “executive villa” that is situatuated equal distance from the beach, golf and all the required amenities. Casa dos Caracois is secluded and private and totally secure being completely fenced in and entered via sliding gates. There are no immediate neighbours. The exterior is landscaped with over 300m2 of patio area. There is a 6mx 12m swimming pool with bathing deck over the deep end. The pool has a child safety fence with gate if required. There is a large outdoor living kitchen with a gas BBQ and, the lounging part has an mp3 docking station. The interior is finished to the highest standards with 4 large full en-suite bedrooms. The open plan lounge/dining and kitchen area has a large TV with UK freeview channels in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with every piece of equipment you could imagine.

About Rob

Rob, Kirstie, Luca and Ella Justice lived in the Algarve for 7 years and have now returning to the UK.

The house was used as a family home and so has everything you will need to enjoy a relaxing break.

This area is very underdeveloped but enjoys all the great benefits of the Algarve. Fantastic location for getting everywhere and superb local amenities were the deciding factor in buying here.

I spent 2 glorious weeks at Rob’s place towards the back end of May 2013. The villa itself was spotless and very welcoming with a stunning outdoor space for long sunny days and evenings relaxing around the pool and enjoying the eating/lounging area. The children were happy staying at the villa all day long, rarely bored given the array of toys including children’s bikes and mini cars. The pool was extremely child friendly where even the youngest, Ella (3) was comfortable joining in the pool games given the design of the shallow end extending quite some way down the length of the pool. The full sky package kept everyone happy (both men and children!) when a little calm or respite from the sun was required. Mark struggles to sleep but had the best 2 weeks of sleep I think he has ever had. We had changes in sheets and towels along with regular cleaning which kept us living like kings and queens for the duration of the stay.

Notes on accommodation: Casa dos Caracois has air-conditioning every room. The house is very child friendly and has an approved safety fence around the pool for children if required. There is a child's wooden playhouse with garden toys for younger guests and there are mountain bikes for all age groups in the outside storage building. The house is perfect to enjoy private and secure luxury holiday accommodation. Outside: Perhaps the most impressive feature of Casa dos Caracois is the stunning outdoor area. The lounge and dining rooms of the house open out on to the large patio and pool area. The pool is 6m x 12 m with a large 1m shallow end for younger children. There is a wooden deck over one corner of the deep end with sunbeds on. There are further sunbeds on the poolside. There is a purpose built wooden covered structure which houses the outside kitchen and gas BBQ. Within this is a sofa and 2 armchairs, hammock and a dining table to seat 8. The ipod docking station provides entertainment to the whole outside area. There is a small round table and chairs outside the kitchen doors and further seating around the outside of the house by way of benches and occasional chairs. The rest of the gardens are landscaped and lawned. There is a large gravelled parking area to the front of the property. Utility Room: The utility room has a sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. It also houses the underfloor heating controls and hot water boilers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen /: Linen and towels are included as is the end of week clean. Other: The dining room bridges the kitchen to the lounge and has seating for 8 people around a large table. This room also has an LCD TV with satellite freeview TV.

fantastic family villa

this villa is very well equipped for a large family,we had 2 adults,2 teenagers and 3 small children,and there was plenty of space.great swimming pool that the kids lived in!! all mod cons ,comfortable beds.very secluded,with no immediate neighbours.the house if fully enclosed all around by a fence and metal gate .lots of toys and pool inflatables and a small selection of dvds and games,console and music box.ideally you would need a car as train station is 20 min walk with children,and town centre 25-30 min walk.sarah the house keeper was extremely accommodating and friendly and made the stay more relaxing due to a few hiccups that occurred.all in all a great place to stay and would recommend,also rob the owner very polite and professional

Fantastic Casa dos Caracois

The most amazing villa we have ever stayed in! Love the spacious house & grounds, kitchen has everything you need, all bedrooms are great with ensuites, upstairs bedroom is huge! There were 9 of us & there was still plenty of room. Kids loved ps4 in the lovely lounge when it got too hot. The pool & the cabana, which we used all the time & with no neighbours are just perfect. Sara & Mike were absolutely great at looking after us along with the Portuguese maintenance man. The surrounding areas are absolutely lovely, with nearby Fuseta we ate several lovely evening fish meals out & joined in the festivals they had later on at night. Barril beach, Olhao, Tavira all just down the road & unspoilt by tourism. You can't get better than this for a lovely family holiday so we are coming back next year!!

Amazing Villa with great facilities

Superbly maintained, high quality villa in a quiet area between Olhao and Tavira. Excellent base for exploring the area with lots of good restaurants close by in Olhao (4 miles) and Tavira (5 miles). Fuseta is very close with a supermarket and bars etc. We used Olhao quite a lot as there is virtually any supermarket you can name and almost every kind of restaurant. It IS a bit out of the way at Alfandanga, but I would go there again tomorrow. Many thanks to Sara and Ian for all their help

Fantastic family holiday

Went here for a family holiday, great location and everything you needed , lovely and clean. Great communication from owner before hand, smooth booking and directions etctFriends joined us for the second week, due the the lay out of rooms worked perfect, together but privacy. Definately recommend. Thankyou so much

Great place to chill

It was an absolute delight to stay at the Villa and we really enjoyed our relaxed evenings, when the temperature is just perfect, chilling with a glass of wine on the outdoor terrace by the pool. The location is excellent having a secluded feel to it yet been just five minutes from the fishing village and all of the local shops, have the best product. The villa was perfect for three families allowing enough space for us to have privacy yet the shared areas being fantastic for getting together and enjoying each other’s company. The villa is flexible and there’s more than enough through more people if needed. I would hesitate to recommend a visit to this delightful Villa.

Perfekte Villa

Das Haus war wunderschön perfekt ausgestattet und im Innenbereich sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der einzige Minuspunkt war es liegt sehr abgeschieden und der Außenbereich müsste mehr gepflegt werden. Es waren doch einige Sachen defekt wie Poolbeleuchtung viele Lichtschalter im Haus gingen nicht, sowie auch das Schloss der Haupttür. Ansonsten war es ein schöner Urlaub für uns nur die Gegend hat nicht unseren Vorstellungen entsprochen wie wir es von Lagos oder Albufeira kennen.

Casa dos Caracois has several fantastic beaches right on the doorstep. Fuseta has 2 beaches, one is 2 minutes away by car and the other you take a short boat trip to the stunning Fuseta Island beach. Barril beach is 10 minutes away by car and a short train ride (great for the kids). There are other beaches at Tavira and Olhao - approx 15 minutes away by car and then short boat ride. All of the sandy beaches are perfect for children and have food and drink facilities.


Faro airport is 20 minutes away by car or you can take a train from the local station - 5 minutes walk. The Algarve train network is a perfect way of exploring further afield in the Algarve. Car hire is not essential as everything you need is within walking distance but is certainly recommended to enjoy the most from your holiday.


Local bars, restaurants and shops are a 2 minute drive away in Fuseta or Moncarapacho. There are fantastic local seafood restaurants and a daily local market for meat,fish, fruit and vegetables in Fuseta. A little further away (15 minutes by car) the bigger towns of Tavira and Olho provide a more extensive range of banks, supermarkets and shopping malls. Both Tavira and Olhao are steeped in history and are fascinating places to visit and enjoy the cafe culture and alfresco dining.

Further Details:

Within 500m walking of the villa is a small shop, bank and cafe/bar. However the majority of amenities required can be found in Fuseta or Moncarapacho. There is a local doctors surgery in Fuseta with a local 24 hour mini hospital 15 minutes away in Olhao. The main hospital is in Faro - 20 minute drive. There is a pharmacy in both Fuseta and Moncarapacho. The Algarve has many fantastic attractions for family days out. The water parks are less than an hour away by car to the west. Zoomarine is also under an hours drive. There are boat trips to see local marine life such as dolphins and whales daily from Fuseta. Angling trips can also be organised from the small harbour in Fuseta. Horse riding is available locally in Moncarapacho and there is plenty of walks and lane to explore. There is a cycle track on the doorstep that runs east to west along the Algarve coast and there are bikes in the shed for guests of all ages to use.
