We offer an exceptional personal service, for instance, we design our menus to suit our guests and our flexible check-in/check-out policy set us apart allowing you 8 days skiing! We do our best to help you enjoy your holiday.
We are a family of keen skiers who originally bought the chalet for ourselves to enjoy. I learnt to ski in Meribel and we still enjoy the resort today thanks to its extraordinary range of slopes and off piste.
Lucy Rose purchased this chalet in 1980
The chalet is blissfully quiet, being just outside the centre of Meribel. But of course bars and the bustle of Meribel are within very easy reach! The main supermarket and nightclub are only 3 minutes walk.
Luxury Furnishings, high quality equipment and decor throughout and our exceptional personal service. Our flexible check-in/check-out policy also set us apart allowing you 8 days skiing!
'Just a note to thank you for a truly lovely holiday at your chalet. Kylie and Steve were beyond superb and we all had a great holiday -everyone enjoying the great food, excellent chalet, sun and snow including Enid (2) and Gwyneth who skiing for the first time aged 76 was taking advantage of her free three valleys pass by day 3 and skiing over to Courcheval!!'
'Thank you for an amazing week, it’s been so welcoming, comfortable and delicious'
'Expectations were very high . and I can truly say everything has surpassed my expectations, the Chalet, the resort and the mountains. Cannot wait to return'
'The most enjoyable stay we have ever had in Meribel in nine years. Le Yeti is a private house so beautifully decorated and so fully equipped. We were so well looked after. Thank you Jonathan for sharing this little alpine paradise with us'
The chalet was perfect for our group of two families, and we enjoyed a fantastic holiday there in December 2014. The entire chalet is well-appointed and comfortable, but we particularly enjoyed the comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms and Nespresso coffee machine. Food, drink and hospitality was of an excellent standard. The hosts were very professional and the owner was extremely helpful with our booking arrangements. Looking forward to our next visit in a few weeks time!
Rooms are not large but well laid out with plenty of wardrobe space and plenty of hangers. The en-suite looked pretty new and modern and was spotless. The living area is perfect for slumping down after a long day out and the chalet hosts were helpful and accomodating. Food was excellent. Chalet owner was equally helpful and had left information on local activities and amenities. All in all, I would definitely recommend.
Two weeks at Chalet Yeti. Luxury chalet near to centre of Meribel. The in -chalet hosts were fantastic - nothing any trouble to them and the cuisine was superb. Add to this sunshine and terrific snow - a great holiday. Pity it had to come to an end.
A fantastic 5 Star Chalet in a prime location with superb accommodation. Pete and Leslie are the best hosts I have ever met and the food at dinner with excellent wine was a great end to the day. Facilities are excellent and there is nothing more you would need in this Chalet. I would recommend this chalet to anyone that wants a luxurious week in the Alps.
Our 21st time staying at Chalet Le Yeti - something has to be right!
A belated thanks for letting us return to Le Yeti. A very good week indeed. Even the weather was kind to us in putting down about 18” of new snow to allow a modicum of off-piste skiing, although the rocks were never too far away. Pistes were quiet so no queues and we managed to all ski together most days.
Ali & I were most impressed with all your alterations from the beds & bathrooms to the sofas downstairs. For four of the guests it was their first visit and they will have long lasting memories of having spent a great week in a wonderful chalet.
Peter & Lesley were fine hosts and definitely up there with the likes of Tim & Trish or even perhaps surpassing them.
Would recommend to anyone.
Not a day has gone by since we returned home when we haven't talked about our wonderful ski holiday with you . From the preparations to our stay, your welcome and consideration to us all was fantastic ! As well as the skiing, the young people have constantly referred to the amazing food - the best ever as they have been saying! My husband has been inspired by Pete's cooking and the way he effortlessly produced food for all 11 of us every day after day . Lesley you looked after us so well you cannot have done more ! Jonathan you have a beautiful chalet even nicer than the pictures and the value for money was exceptional. The main skiers in the party were eager to explore all they could of the 3 valleys. Despite being so early in the season there was plenty of snow and it snowed on our last day!. Beautiful blue skies and sunshine and fantastic views also made up our wonderful week.
Thank you from us ALL
Special interest holidays:
The resort is a traditional Alpine village and has much charm. All buildings are finished in stone and wood and have sloping roofs.
In 1992 it was a major centre for the Olympic Games hosting all the womens Alpine ski events and the ice hockey tournament.
As a result there is an Olympic ice rink plus bowling and an indoor swimming pool with slide, among other facilities.
Meribel hosts plenty of events; there’s always something going on. For instance it holds a Pro-Am ski race every year.
Scheduled flights to Geneva are generally available from £120 return. Meribel is a two-hour drive from either Geneva or Lyon airports and just over an hour from Chambery. With four people sharing car hire, this costs about £70 per person a week for the transfer. We can also organise a minibus transfer for guests at a similar price.
You can easily drive from England. There is motorway from Calais straight through to Alberville, then dual carriageway to Moutiers, which is about 20 minutes from Meribel.
Calais to Meribel is about an eight-hour drive with no stops. We expect driving to take about 12 hours from London including the Channel crossing, compared to up to 8 hours for flying allowing for check-in and luggage collection.
The chalet is blissfully quiet, being just outside the centre of Meribel. But of course bars and the bustle of Meribel are within easy reach!
There are many excellent restaurants for lunch in the Trois Valley. By Rond Point is the Marie Blanc. Courchevel has many excellent restaurants among them are the Bel Air at the top 1650,and the Bistro du Praz at 1300.
The Vallee des Belville also offers a wide choice; try the Michelin rated La Bouitte by the church) at Saint Marcel.
On the chalet staff’s night off, we recommend Le Croix Jean Claude in Les Allues or Le Refuge in the middle of Meribel.
If you still have energy, the famous Dick’s T-bar is 2 minutes walk from the chalet.
Of course Meribel boasts many ski shops, lovely boutiques, delicatessens and cake shops. Le Yeti guests can get 20% off ski hire.
