I love the Apartment & the Porto De Mos area (a suburb of Lagos). The apartment is not part of a typical holliday village! It is part of a discreet ‘L’ shaped complex (all with private owners) with lovely landscaped gardens and a feature communal pool.

The area is lovely having the best of both worlds in my view. If you like it quite & peaceful it is perfect. If you like to get about, Lagos is only a 30 minute walk & the fantastic Porto De Mos beach is only a 5 minute walk with 2 restaurants to tempt you!. The apartment is in a perfect position to go East or West to visit many of the tourist attractions & unspoilt beach.

Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is ground floor and benefits from a secure garden area making it ideal for young children. The apartment also features air-conditioning/heating, electric security shutters to all 4 patio windows and a video entry phone. Sorry no smoking allowed in the apartment! Sorry no pets allowed! Outside: The apartment boasts a spacious terrace area at the front accessed from the living room and master bedroom patio windows. For your comfort a patio table and 4 chairs are provided along with sun beds which can be used on the terrace or within the landscaped garden area. This secure complex with only 20 privately owned units benefits from a shared swimming pool, separate whirlpool, shower, discreet toilet facilities and a stunning landscaped garden area. You can enjoy the late afternoon/evening sun from the large terrace at the rear of the property. This is accessed off the kitchen and twin bedroom patios. From here you have views of the benched communal area. The rear of the property also allows for ample parking facilities directly outside the apartment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels will be provided at the beginning of your stay. In the middle of your stay the bathroom will be freshened and clean towels provided. The towels are only for use in the apartment they are not to be used around the pool or on the beach. Other: The entrance hall comprises of a dark oak console table.

Lovely, spotless unit!

We just recently spent a week at this unit and loved every minute of it! The unit itself is spacious, spotless and secure, in a very nice area within walking distance of a lovely beach (and a pool right outside the patio door!). The decor is modern and comfortable with clean lines. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable - we all slept so well! An air conditioning unit in each room kept the temperature just right. The bathrooms are both spacious and beautiful. The kitchen is lovely - a nice, large refrigerator and freezer to accommodate our items, the microwave, oven and electric stove top quite adequate. It did not include a coffee maker, but there was a great hot water kettle which heated water to boiling very quickly - we brought some instant coffee with us which got us started. Quite sufficiently furnished with everything you would need to cook a meal. The kitchen also includes a washing machine - no dryer. I was a little skeptical of not having a dryer, but there is a large drying rack provided which we placed on the patio and the clothing really did dry very quickly so it was not an issue at all. The owner made contact with us several times checking to see that all was well, and the property manager readily accessible if needed. The location is a good one - although most days we drove East to the beaches we enjoyed (Marinha, Carvoeiro, Benagil), they weren't far and it was still nice to be staying in a less-congested and less-touristy part of Algarve. Lagos itself has an old town which we visited a few times, but found our favorite restaurants in nearby Luz (Alloro) and Odiaxere (Cacto). I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat and would most definitely recommend this unit to anyone - I am quite particular and believe me, you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic Holiday!

We spent 7 days at this apartment in June 17 & loved every minute of it. We wish we had booked for two weeks!

The apartment was clean & tastefully decorated. The apartment was well equipped & we wanted for nothing. I loved having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the pool & with a view of the beautiful landscaped gardens. The unlimited Wi-Fi was also a bonus. The complex was really peaceful & relaxing. The beach at Porto De Mos was lovely & was only a 5 minute walk, we went a couple of times when we fancied a change.

We were glad we hired a car at the airport as this allowed us to visit some of the tourist attractions in the Algarve.

Just back from another stay in Miralagos Porto De Mos & had a fabulous stay in Alan Banks apartment. The ground floor apartment is beautiful, with pool view, all mod cons including wifi & spotlessly clean. Couldn't rate it highly enough. Perfect stay

This was our first holiday with our 6 month old daughter and it was perfect. The apartment was great and the patio doors only yards from the pool area. We had the added bonus of being able to sunbath in the garden until approx. 2pm. The living areas were more than spacious and it was a big help the place had a cot bed.

in terms of the pool area, we had allocated sunbeds and it was very quiet. I think we had the complex to ourselves for the first week! Areas for shade if needed.

Lagas town is a 25 minute walk. We would walk to dinner in the evening, and get a taxi back (approx. 8 euros). Plenty of nice restaurants. There is also a huge supermarket about 15 minutes walk away. Again, we would walk there and get a taxi back with our shopping.

Overall this is was a great stay. Alan was a great help with any request and the apartment was spot on. We would visit again!

Very enjoyable stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was immaculate and well equipped, very attractive grounds. No problem finding it and the meet and greet worked out well. Very convenient to a beautiful beach, just a short walk away. I would recommend car hire if you want to see further afield or go to Lagos town itself on a regular basis. Overall a beautiful apartment which added to a brilliant sunshine filled holiday. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful appartment and great for kids

We loved the appartment. It was clean, spacious and brand new!!! We have 2 small children and it was perfect for small kids. The appartment is on the ground floor, which makes it really easy to move around and has a beautiful spacious terrace. We spent most of our time outdoors and its gated so the kids can not escape.

The only downfall is that although you are really close to the old city Lagos, the walk is a little difficult so we ended up taking our car. There is a path that brings you to Porto de mos beach and the 2 restaurants there are excellent. The other thing (which maybe could have been fixed) was that the pool and the hot tub where not heated.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this appartment and the town of Lagos. We visited almost the entire coast and this was the city we found had the most charm

Without being overly commercial.

Our management company are looking into the possibility of having this done. The location of the apartment enjoys the peace & tranquillity of the Porto De Mos area with the beach only a 5 minute walk away, while the historic town of Lagos is easily reached with a 5 minute car journey or 35 minute walk.

The Algarve boasts some of the finest stretches of coastline and beaches in Europe and this area is no exception. The local beach at Porto De Mos is only a 5 minute walk. This extensive golden sandy beach is over half a mile long and features stunning high cliffs with spectacular views. This beach area provides all the usual facilities including a lovely bar/restaurant. Other local beaches include Praia Da Dona Ana:small sandy cove 5 minutes by car. Meia Praia near Lagos 10 minutes by car.


The nearest airport is Faro and is approximately 80km to Lagos taking 50 minutes by car. It is recommended that you hire a car and book it before your holiday commences so that you can arrange to collect it at the airport. A fairly straight forward drive heading west along the A22 awaits you. For guests not wishing to drive a taxi/shuttle bus is easily arranged from the airport. A list of directions from the airport to the apartment will be e-mailed to you before your departure.

Places of interest: Lagos - The historical town of Lagos is traditional in style and is encircled by massive 16th century walls that effectively shut out the 21st century. Here you will discover a maze of cobbled streets where cafe owners have set up their tables tempting visitors to stop and sample their delicious offerings in between exploring the town’s churches, museums, art galleries, antique shops and bustling market. The town of Lagos has recently received the 'slow city' award fulfilling the required criteria that your town leads an environmentally friendly, cultural, and sustainable style of life. Changeover Day:
You can gain access to the apartment from 2.00pm on your arrival day & the latest time to vacate on your departure day is 10.00am. However these times are flexible provided that your dates are not changeover days.
