Whether you’re here to play in the sun, shop, fish, hunt, visit wineries or just get away from it all - this is where you’ll want to unwind at the end of the day.
WHY WE FELL IN LOVE
You will love this Lake of the Ozarks cottage. We purchased this lake house property in January of 2006 after searching for a year for the perfect lake house rental and we’ve been renting ever since. The house is situated close to the water for easy access and sits in a calm cove for peaceful days. This cottage is perfect for vacationers because that's exactly what we had in mind during our search for a cottage rental.
WHY YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE
We have tried to think of everything you will need to relax while you’re on vacation. You’ll find the house is well furnished and stocked, comfortable, CLEAN, close to the water with minimal steps, situated in a quiet cove, and great for big families (including your furry members). Yes, we are PET FRIENDLY!

DECK: The single-level deck overlooking Lick Branch Cove on Lake of the Ozarks is approximately 600 square feet. The view is awesome since the cottage is located just inside a smaller cove for calm water fishing with a great lake view of the very large Lick Branch Cove. There is ample parking for as many as four cars right next to the lake house.
The large deck comfortably seats around 20 people with two tables and plenty of extra chairs. There are also 2 outdoor speakers on the deck and a charcoal Weber grill for a memorable BBQ overlooking the lake.
Near the water, you'll find a built-in fire pit on the water's edge for a late night conversation with s'mores!
PARKING: If you are familiar with the Lake of the Ozarks area, you know how hilly it is. This lake house rental allows for very easy access from your car. The front door is just a couple feet away and there is parking area available for 4 cars! In addition to that, getting to the lake or dock from the cottage is also no problem.
DOCK: There are only a few steps down to the lake where there is a floating single well covered dock. (WE CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO FIND A LAKE HOUSE WITH A FAIRLY LEVEL LOT HERE IN THE OZARKS!) The dock has a swim platform with a ladder and will fit a 30 foot boat.
Lake of the Ozarks is a very popular tourist area with plenty of shopping within a 20 minute drive. There is a very large mall in Osage Beach with 110 factory outlet type stores. Osage Beach also has plenty of restaurants including popular chain restaurants such as Applebee's, Outback Steak House, Panera Bread, Chili's, and Bandana's among others... But, be sure to check out the local restaurants that offer some very good food as well as breathtaking views. Michael's Steak Chalet is one of our favorites. Great food and even better view of the main channel of the lake from high on a bluff.
You'll find many restaurant/bars along the lakeshore by boat too. There are also places nearby that have boat rentals and personal watercraft rentals. You'll find many go-cart tracks and other activities for the family including the historic Bagnell Dam area.
If you are interested in renting a boat: Contact Iguana Boat Rentals. Iguana boat rentals is about 2 minutes by car and 1 minute by water. There are many other boat rental companies in the area so if you need more information just ask!

Thank you for stopping by!
Our love for the Lake of the Ozarks began in 1980 when we vacationed here for our Honeymoon! We (Peggy and Dave) then began vacationing here every summer with our family in 1989 and eventually bought our first home here in 1994.
After 10 incredible summers at this house, we decided to move from Oswego, IL (Chicago suburb) to Rocky Mount, MO full-time. We loved our original house too much to let it go and decided to keep the house as a rental property for other families to enjoy like we did!
We enjoyed renting our lake house so much, we decided to look for another vacation home to purchase. After a year of searching, we found Echo Valley in 2006 and have been renting it ever since.
As full-timers here, we are very familiar with the area and can help you with any questions you may have during your stay - from where to put your boat in, which restaurants to check out or where the closest convenience store is - we've got you covered! We're also just a short boat ride or drive away if you should need anything.
Update: As of January 2014, Dave and Peggy's daughter, Heidi, and son-in-law, Eric, have become co-owners with us. They reside in St. Louis and have stayed in this lake house rental a few times every year with a group of their friends. They can tell you from experience what a great rental house it is with groups- large or small.
Dave or Peggy purchased this cabin in 2006
This cottage is situated very nicely inside a cove within a larger cove so if privacy is important to you, it doesn't get much better than this at The Lake of the Ozarks.
This cottage has 85' of lake frontage and close to many popular restaurant / bars on the lake. The view of the lake from the deck is remarkable.
We enjoyed our stay very well. The place was clean, spacious, and had everything you could possible need for your stay. The owners were superb to work with and most accommodating to anything you might need or questions you might need answered. Our only minor problem was trying to get into the property pulling a boat through a very narrow and rough gravel road. We would recommend this rental property but would advise of the one-way narrow entrance on the street side as had we known that we would have went ahead and put the boat in first at Coffman, but no worries, my husband is an excellent driver. I know he would love that I said that about him :) The view was remarkable from the deck and the fire pit was used almost nightly as it was a nice addition to a rental property. Again, a highly recommended rental property.
We rented this piece of property on the lake at Lake of the Ozark. It was nice to do so offseason as it was quiet and felt like we had the lake pretty much to ourselves. We would consider renting this piece of property again sometime in the future. It was very clean when we arrived.
We had a great experience staying at this property. Everything was just perfect, the location, amenities inside the house, responses to our questions by Dave and Peggy. We felt home right from the moment we reached the property and never knew when the weekend was over. Since we were there in March, we kind of knew there wont be any lake activities but the location of the home made up for it. They have a boat dock as well, so we just went there and sat there for a while enjoying the view. Thank you for the hospitality Dave and Peggy, appreciate it. Though we messed up by not placing the garage bags in the right place, Dave was considerate enough to understand it was a mistake. That is all you can ask for after a relaxing weekend with friends and family. I definitely recommend this place and will be staying there ourselves again.
We came from Texas to spend Christmas with the grandbabies. We had a wonderful time despite the stormy weather. The cottage was PERFECT! Definitely will stay here again!
My family and I spent a couple of days here for Thanksgiving with another couple and a total of our 4 kids. We all had a great time! It was clean, felt like home, very cozy. We got a lot of use out of the fire pit and enjoyed fishing on the dock, we would stay here again!
Overall house was nice, clean and comfortable. Boat slip could use some repair but it worked great for us. The setting of this house is beautiful, the fall colors were excellent for the time of year. Road is a little rough but doable. Owner was very accomodating. Overall a great weekend for our family. Only drawback is a sign on the fridge that says don't store fish in fridge or freezer. Thought that was a drawback for a house in the lake but the fishing wasn't good enough for that to be a problem lol.
'Coving out' (Yes, it's a verb here! Try 'Party Cove' in the state park but it's not for kids, )
