Renovated to retain its original charm, it has exposed beams, wood flooring, and an inglenook fireplace with a multi burning stove. The cottage is tastefully furnished and decorated to a high standard. There is a safe sunny walled garden to the rear with lawn, patio seating area and barbeque. This homely property is well positioned for walking, mountain biking or sight seeing, with many wonderful walks, including the Pennine Way and the Teesdale Way. Situated in the village of MICKLETON within beautiful Teesdale, regularly referred to as the ‘best kept secret of the north’, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, also on the doorstep is England's highest waterfall High Force. The ancient market town of Barnard Castle is situated 8 miles away, with it's many craft and antique shops.

Clean spacious cottage with everything you will need. Perfect location for discovering Teesdale and only 40 odd mins from the Lakes. Blacksmiths Arms not too far for a nightcap. Didn't find a local shop in Mickelton but Middleton just down the road has a (pricey) Co-op.
I put my parents up here for 4 days over Christmas as our house wasn’t big enough for everyone and thought they might appreciate a bolt hole away from the racket ... it was perfect. ... and couldn’t be better for a quick night cap before bed with 2 great pubs within easy walking distance ... they already want to go there again 😊😉
We love this cottage. We have stayed here three times, which speaks for itself.
It's well equipped, clean and spacious. Everything has been thought of and it has great wi-fi and a mobile phone signal (not everyone's priority but we have reason to need it as I'm sure many others do).
The bathroom has had a recent refurbishment and now has a great separate walk-in shower and a roll-top bath.
We're hoping to return soon.
Fantastic cottage with everything you need. Really comfy beds. Lovely sunny rear garden. Great location with walks from the cottage available. Lovely pub with garden and food 2 mins walk away called The Crown. Would defnitley return.
Lovely cottage, very comfortable and warm, very clean and well equipped, beautiful area, very
friendly people, masses of things to do.
Great access to walks and local pubs. Couldn't have wanted for more.
