I live in Scotland with my wife. We use the apartment for much of the year - it is our second home - but we make the apartment available for friends and guests during the summer. We have made many friends in Spain and have fallen in love with the country.

Why Rod Owen chose Elviria
We chose Elviria because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There are some beautiful beaches with a great range of bars and restaurants in the local village. Several Golf Courses are nearby. Plus there are interesting places to visit and good walking in the hills. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible too with Malaga Airport just 40 minutes drive away. Despite the current relatively strong Euro exchange rate to the UK Pound, there remains strong competition between restaurants and there are lots of very good and generally inexpensive restaurants in the Elviria area and in Marbella. And of course if you are looking for a special meal it will be more expensive, but there are some excellent restaurants close by. I am certainly happy to share some of our local picks with you or I suggest you check-out TripAdvisor for current information.
What makes this Apartment unique
Duplex penthouse with lovely views over a valley to the Mediterranean and Gibraltar in the distance. It is in a quiet, non built-up area yet plenty to see and do less than a mile away.

My wife and I spent a very relaxing 4 weeks at this apartment. The agent was there to meet us when we arrived and was very helpful during the whole our stay.
The apartment was very clean, tastefully decorated with high quality furniture and kitchen equipment. There was everything there that anyone would want.
The apartment is located in an upmarket area which is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by well mainained gardens. It is well placed for visits to places along the coast and also inland towns and villages, Ronda and Mihas in particular.
The owner sent us comprehensive instructions regarding everything to do with our holiday, from listing directions from the airport to the apartment, to details on the use of the kitchen appliances and other items.
In the evenings it was very pleasant sitting on the balcony looking out over the Mediterranean, with Gibralter in the distance.
We look forward to returning sometime in the future.

Very pleased with the property. Felt very homely. Very good condition & was exactly like the photos.
Quiet location, which is what we wanted. It was possible to walk to shops and restaurants nearby with potential to get a taxi back if you didn’t fancy the walk back up the hill. A great home from home and a great base to explore the Costa del Sol (a car is essential). The owner and his contact is Spain were always available to answer any queries. Excellent value for money compared to other properties we have stayed in.

Great place in great surroundings!
Had a fab week in August 2018 in Elviria at Colorado Hills. A perfect location for us and we had a hire car to get around so were able see all the parts of the Marbella area. We were just off the A7 so it was a quick drive down to the Old town or further on to Puerto Banus for shopping and take in the Harbour and its many Super Yachts.
We also went to the beach at Cabopino which was a good day out, but very busy in August. A trip to the Amazonia climbing park which is just in Elviria was a good afternoon out for the kids too. We ate at several restaurants in Elviria, but our favourite was Barraçon de las tapas for traditional Andalusian dishes/tapas, quite expensive always very busy and never guaranteed a table. There was also a Fiesta on the week we were there and also a fun-fair with rides and stalls.
The 2 bed apartment was great, clean and comfortable. It was so nice to get back to in the evening with its air con and comfy beds.
The balcony is something else and has views looking down towards the sea. We spent many evenings just sat relaxing after a day shopping or after being by the shared pool (onsite), It is very clean and maintained to a high standard. It was difficult to get the kids out some evenings.
I would definitely recommend this place and I would like to go back. There was so much more we wanted to do.

Fabulous 2 bedroomed penthouse apartment.
Our stay was amazing and the apartment had everything we needed.
The communication with the owners was perfect with Rod providing helpful advice and information prior to our stay. We also received a lovely welcome on our arrival from Coral who speaks English fluently and gave us further information and tips on the area, where to eat and the best beaches.
Amazing views, nice and quiet for a very chilled out holiday. The apartment was also spotless with everything provided for all our needs.
The apartment is in a central location with a short drive Elviria centre (all necessary amenities eg ATM, Supermarket, restaurants, bars) and to many other lovely locations such as Cabopino in one direction or Marbella/Puerto Banus in the other.
We can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. We had a fabulous holiday here and would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful apartment, you won’t be disappointed
Colorado Hills apartment is a fantastic place to stay. It has everything you could wish for in a self catering apartment. The surrounding area is very quiet and just a short drive away are some great beaches and restaurants. Rod the owner is very pleasant to deal with as well as Coral the agent. We really loved our stay and will be back.

The best beaches on the Costa del Sol are genuinely less than 5 minutes drive away, with miles of sand and gentle warm bathing. These offer excellent beach bars, chiringuitos, sunbeds, up-market beach clubs including the renowned jet set destination of Nikki Beach, as well as more secluded areas. The yacht harbour of Cabopino is also nearby.
Malaga airport is 45 minutes (40km) away. Car hire is recommended but not at all necessary.
Elviria shops, bars & restaurants are 1.6km away and the nearest beach 2.4km.
The apartment is well situated to explore white villages of Andalucia and the famous historic town of Ronda, perched on a high plateau (2500 ft above sea level), all are within easy driving distance. Seville, Granada and Gibraltar can each be reached within 2/3 hours. In addition other popular locations such as Puerto Banus, Benahavis and Mijas are a short drive away.
As well as the picturesque fishing and yachting marina of Cabopino close by with many bars & cafes, there is an abundance of excellent, fish and meat restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. It is a 15 minute or so pleasant downhill walk from the gate to the shops and 15 or so great bars and restaurants of Elviria. If you prefer, the journey back can be undertaken by readily available and inexpensive taxis. The Marbella area has world class facilities, restaurants, shops, nightlife, fitness, sports, health and beauty clubs plus more than 20 quality golf courses. Attractions for families and thrillseekers include parasailing, Tivoli World, Aquapark, Natura Aventura, Buggy Safaris, Zoo and Funny Beach. Malaga itself offers walking tours, galleries and the renowned Museo Picasso. In addition whilst the apartment is well situated for many popular locations, it sits amongst low-rise residential villas and offers quiet walks and peaceful tranquillity.
