Cartmel Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Clogger Beck Cottage, Cartmel, Cumbria, England - Situated In The Village Of Cartmel But In A Peaceful Location With Parking

Only a minute walk away from the Priory and Cartmel village centre Clogger Beck Cottage is centrally heated and has a multi-fuel stove in the ingle-nook. There is a separate dining room and a fully fitted kitchen. The kitchen is fully kitted out and adjacent there is a utility area with a freezer and a washer/dryer. The cottage is very fortunate to have a secluded large garden with a patio and a built in barbecue area and it really is a sun trap too. Imagine those long Summer evenings enjoying yourselves eating dad's burnt sausages! All this and parking too. At the front there is a parking area for two cars with additional parking or storage of water sports equipment at the rear. Finally, the cottage is named after the stream (beck) that runs alongside it. You could catch brown trout from the lounge window - novel or what! It is really a very picturesque holiday home from home. Please note: Pets not accepted at this cottage. Available to book through the LAKELAND COTTAGE COMPANY for weekly bookings, and out of season - 3-night weekends (Friday start) or 4-night (Monday start) mid week.

About Lakeland Cottage Company (

Hi we are John & Denise and we are very fortunate to own Clogger Beck Cottage. We love the Lake District and especially Cartmel - such a tiny village but with enormous facilities. It's the home of the very famous sticky toffee pudding shop, Cartmel Priory, Cartmel Race Course, L'Enclume restaurant (michelin star), brilliant and friendly pubs, lovely shops and restaurants. There are wonderful walks and the Lake District National Park is on the doorstep. We can't imagine a better location as the cottage is so quiet with a fantastic outlook, it's own beck (with ducks) and yet 2 minutes walk from the centre of this superb village.

What makes this cottage unique

Cartmel & Clogger Beck Cottage offer total peace, there are no street lights in the village. The Lake District's beauty is breath-taking and every season has something to offer. We love walking and enjoy the tranquility. We have a kingfisher on our beck - look out for the blue flash).

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Couldn't believe our luck finding this little gem. So neat and tidy and everything you could possibly want was available in the cottage. Cartmel is great - would love to live here and in Clogger Beck Cottage. A step back in time - no street lights! But there's a torch at the cottage."
