About Susan Alba

We live in Spain and own and manage Casita de Alba, Casa Almareka and Casa Susana. We do all our own maintenance and cleaning to ensure our villas are in perfect condition and spotlessly clean for our guests. I was a City Business woman until I found Casita de Alba in Jesus Pobre and from that day I knew I wanted to live there. I put my heart and soul into reforming the villa and made it into a luxurious, comfortable, welcoming home. We have had some wonderful times with many clients who come regularly over the years and who have enjoyed our properties.

Susan Alba purchased this villa in 1997

Why Susan Alba chose Javea, Moraira and Denia area

I bought Casa Almareka in 1987 and then Casita de Alba in 1997. Having been a Travel Rep for several years I completely fell in love with Jesus Pobre and the surrounding area and dreamt of being able to own my home in Spain. Both villas are located close to The Montgo Nature Reserve so ideal for walking and observing the abundance of beautiful flowers and the scenery yet only a short drive to the wonderful beaches of Javea or Denia The village is near so easy for everyday needs and when in need of a livelier time you have bars, clubs, markets also only a short drive away. There is the 5 star La Sella Golf Course, horse riding and water sports so there is something for everyone. The villa is in a quiet, secluded location yet between Alicante and Valencia. Ideal for flights.

What makes this villa unique

Casita de Alba is full of charm and character with a fully equipped kitchen for entertaining in winter or a unique Spanish oven and BBQ for dining alfresco in summer. There are sun loungers, tables and chairs on the terrace and the pool is really beautiful and secluded. It is the ideal location for families or for those wishing to enjoy a romantic break. This is a wonderful villa for a long winter let or for the Christmas period as it is warm and cosy with a fantastic kitchen. The area is peaceful, tranquil and the ideal retreat to enjoy the magnificent pool, views and the sun. You can walk to the village if you want to sample the local restaurants or just a short drive away you can find beaches, bars, restaurants, markets and so much more.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is our 3rd stay at Casita de Alba and once again it was perfection. Each visit something new has been done and everything is just lovely with an incredible for eye for detail. This is not just a holiday villa this is a real luxury home. Beautiful. We cannot recommend highly enough and have already booked for next year.

A little piece of heaven!!

  • 5 of 5

Probably the best villa we have ever stayed in!!! Nothing at all like holiday accommodation, more like home from home. Susan really has thought of everything,

Decoration, furnishings, crockery, bedlinen, towels etc are all of a high standard.

Pool area is exceptional as is the pool, with glorious views and fabulous planting. If staying out of season as we were central heating is also available if required.

Huge TV with all the sky channels.

Totally private but yet there are other properties close by.

We didn't want to leave!!

Fantastic villa

  • 5 of 5

The villa is in a perfect secluded location with a fantastic pool and outdoor area, shaded pergola, etc,. It is very well equipped, clean, everything worked as it should, and Sue and Nick were only a call away if there were any issues. For people who want a peaceful and tranquil private villa where you can walk into the local traditional village, or alternatively go into Javea or Denia for a wider choice of eateries, bars, etc, then you would struggle to find a better location. Highly recommended!

From the minute we pulled up we felt chilled, calm and very spoiled! Sue and Nick have made a magical place that doesn't feel like a holiday house, it feels like a home, your own home! We've stayed in many places of varying conditions but nowhere beats Villa Alba. Cleanliness is outstanding, facilities are again outstanding, they have thought of everything. The pool and gardens are glorious, private, beautiful and with quality sunloungers and chairs it really is a special place you're staying in!!!

We will be returning and for longer next time!

Wonderful property in stunning surroundings

  • 5 of 5

I'm not sure I have the words to do justice to this property. Actually, part of me doesn't want others to know about it, so I am tempted to keep quiet!!

Casita de Alba is a lovely, well equipped villa set in its own private and stunning grounds. The pool is wonderful, such a good size and depth for swimming. The views from the pool area are stunning and I felt blessed to sit out there with my morning tea just taking them in.

The owner, Susan, was always responsive to my emails before our visit and it was lovely to meet her upon arrival. Following my request, she had also kindly brought in some supplies just to get us started. The villa had everything we needed and really did feel like a 'home away from home'.

As we had travelled to Spain to meet up with some old friends, I chose to not hire a car. I think if we came again (which I hope to do!) we would hire one. Having said that, it was only a short walk into the village of Jesus Pobre and the small shop had everything we needed, including fresh produce: meat, eggs, veg and fruit. The shopkeeper was lovely and could speak a little English, although I tried to use my rather limited Spanish as much as possible. We also used an English taxi, recommended by Sue, to go to do a big shop at a larger supermarket and to visit the market in Ondara. So, a car isn't necessarily essential!

The trip to Spain was a nostalgic one for me, returning after a gap of over twenty years, and having Casita de Alba as the place to come home to just helped to make the visit that much more special.

Highly recommend! :-)

We had a fabulous fortnight at sue and nicks villa over easter this year. The villa was amazing-the photos don't do it justice! Sue has thought of everything you could ever want and its so much more then a home from home [infact I wish my own home was as well fitted out-especially the kitchen!]. Sue and Nick are a wealth of info and always on hand to help if you need anything. I would highly recommend it to any seeking a beautiful sanctuary that is also in a superb location [2 towns 10 mins away] and the gorgeous village of Jesus pobre on your doorstep!

Owner's Response: THANK YOU so much for that amazing review. We reallydo try to make everything as perfect as possible for our guests and make sure we offer what we would expect if we rented a holiday villa. We feel that it is so important to make the villa like a home with all the necessary equipment you would have yourselves. Our villas are our passion and we are really proud of them so when someone takes the time to write such wonderful comments it is really appreciated and makes the long hours and hard work really worthwhile. Once again thank you and come back again soon.

A Spanish Oasis with fabulous amenities.

  • 5 of 5

The villa is a really special find. It has a really beautiful pool from which you have delightful views of the countryside and the Montgo mountain. It is a quiet and relaxing place. In some ways you feel you are on a film set. The Villa is really well appointed with UK tv channels. The large kitchen was fully equipped and we could even do our washing. It was a really special stay and we hope to go back again next year.
