This recently completed luxurious property has been created by its English owners to the highest of standards using local stone and craftsmen from the area, resulting in an outstanding traditional Greek country house. The Stone House is in immaculate condition and is air conditioned throughout. It is extraordinarily well equipped with everything possible to ensure complete relaxation for the duration of your holiday. The house sits amongst olive groves above the popular and exclusive village of St. Stephanos on the north-east coast of Corfu. The size of the property offers ample space for 8 guests, with its various terraces and seating areas. A part-covered upper terrace running the full length of the house offers sun or shade, a dining table and a large, comfortable sofa and chairs to enjoy the uninterrupted panoramic views of the Corfu channel and neighbouring Albania. Prices outside July/August negotiable for parties of less than 8 people.
Clare and Johnny bought this house in 2013 from the English couple who built it (and who remain on the island).We loved it from the first, as it is immaculately finished and perfectly equipped (unusual for Corfu), and has great views over our favourite seaside village of San Stephanos (less unusual). It is a 15 minute walk down to the village or a 2 minute car journey. It is also 2 minutes to the very nice Avlaki beach and only 10 minutes to Kassiopi.
It also came with a really nice and fabulously efficient couple---Zakos who does the garden and maintenance, plus Alexandra who looks after everything inside the house quite beautifully.

Clare has always loved Corfu and San Stephanos is by far the most charming harbour/village on the island. The house itself is stone built as if it were in Cirencester(!) and immaculate throughout.
The garden is improving every year and we have also added several lovely tortoises. We have also much improved the ambience of the pool area with a new pergola in 2015, and a further large eating area on the cooler lower terrace.
The beautiful beaches of Avlaki and Kerasia have both been awarded the EU Blue Flag for cleanliness. These are both within a mile of the property.
Corfu airport is 40km away from the villa (+/- 1 hour drive) and car hire is strongly recommended to take full advantage of all the island has to offer although some guests choose to use the local taxi services. Local supermarkets will happily deliver food if required. We are happy to supply details of a local car hire company. Car hire is recommended, please contact us if we can assist.

It takes two minutes to reach the village by car and 10 minutes to walk down but 20 minutes back up to the house.
Local amenities (St Stephanos) - two well stocked local supermarkets, five tavernas, two bars, tourist office, two gift shops, three boat rental companies.
Local amenities (Kassiopi) - doctor surgery, larger supermarkets, butcher, bakery, chemist, various gift shops, night clubs and bars.

Rates include 13% VAT We request a 15% deposit to confirm and secure your booking and payment in full eight weeks prior to your arrival date. In the event of cancellation the following charges will apply: Between 42 - 28 days before departure 60%. Between 27 - 15 days before departure 80%. Between 14 and the departure date or later 100%.
Guests are requested to vacate the villa by 10.30am on their final morning. The villa is available from 3.00pm for incoming guests.
