About Rebekah Cooke
Richard and I (Rebekah) now live in France. Prior this we lived in Cornwall and had owned a Holiday Park with 14 bungalows, before we decided to have a complete change and move for the sun, food, wine and slow pace of life. We have not been disappointed. We love living in France and love the challenge of speaking french. We wanted a village location so that we had neighbours and at the very least, a bakers. We chose the house because of its location, grandeur and because it has a lovely relaxing feel -just what you need for your holiday. We are very lucky to still have our ties in Cornwall and have kept two of the bungalows at Notter Bridge. Having lived there for 10 years we know the park and the area very well and know that it is a great location to access all of Cornwall and Devon.
Rebekah Cooke purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2008
Why Rebekah Cooke chose Pépieux
We live in the same village as Manoir Theron and love the village itself and the surrounding area. It enjoys great countryside with the vines giving it a really Mediterranean feel but is in easy reach of cities big and small and everything else that you need. The closeness of the village to the sea, the Canal du Midi, the Montagne Noir and Pyrenees means there is something to do all year round.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The Manoir itself is a huge house which is difficult to describe either in words or photos. The bedrooms are big enough to give you your own private space for relaxation away from everybody else. Sleeping up to twelve it is ideal for two families to share or one big family of many different generations. The village provides all your immediate needs without need to get in a car having a bakers, post office, general store and various visiting traders including fruit/veg, butchers and pizza.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
The perfect holiday home
We had a great family get together and couldn't have picked a better location. Pepieux was a quaint and beautiful town with welcoming people and was a great spring board for the surrounding towns and villages. Manoir Theron itself had just the perfect touch of luxury. The mix of rustic French decor with a modern touch was ideal. The couple who run the house made themself available every morning for any queries we had and were lovely and welcoming on arrival. I can't think of a single negative, It's an ideal holiday home for any large group! Enjoy.
A perfect property for a large party of people. Rebekah was an amazing host. Highly recommended!
Fabulous place to stay!
We've just come home from an amazing week staying at Manoir Theron. The house is a perfect mix of modern luxury and old fashioned, authentic charm. We were a family of 11 people and we had so much space- the rooms are big and comfortable and no arguing over the bathroom as there is so many! The garden and terrace is great as it allows you to choose between sun and shade, depending on your mood - and the kids loved the pool! The owners are fabulous and friendly and they are local and helpful without being intrusive. We didn't want to come home!
Amazing house set in beautiful surroundings
Absolutely stunning manor house set in a beautiful village. Owners are very hands on but at a distance they even come in early every morning and clean the pool and the patio area. Inside its the perfect mix of old and new and superbly equipped. We will definitely be returning.
Thank-you for your lovely review. It was great to have you staying and happy that you enjoyed your stay.
Hope to see you again

A beautiful comfortable house for family gathering
The house was extremely comfortable for our three generation, 12 person family get together. Bathrooms large and well equipped. The house did not get too hot during the day and the large tree in the courtyard garden provided shade all day for those of us not wanting to sit out in the sun all the time. Terrace and BBQ great for evening meals, and barely any wasps! The pool was great for cooling off and messing around, and large enough to have some fun games of water volleyball. Rebekah and Richard were around every morning to clean the pool and answer any queries. Lovely area to explore; we recommend Minerve and the Canal du Midi, and of course Carcassonne! There were some great cafes and restaurants along the canal, we particularly liked La Guingette at Argens-Minervois.
Thank-you for taking the time to review your holiday with us. It was lovely to have you visit and are really glad that you enjoyed your stay
Wonderful Week in Provence
We had a wonderful week here end of July / early August with two families, 4 adults and 6 kids. House was huge, more than enough room for us all (we didn't use one of the bedrooms) and we ate outside on the terrace when not at local restaurants. The house is full of character and charm and the pool was a must given the heat. We and the kids used it a lot. It was so nice after traveling for four weeks in Italy and France to stay in a lovely well equipped character house with such comfortable beds and big bathrooms! The large tree in the garden provided wonderful shade for lounging outside. We found Pepieux to be a great base from which to explore neighboring vineyards, towns and the Canal De Midi. Rebekah and Richard were fantastic hosts, responsive and very helpful. Could not have asked for more.
Thank-you so much for your review and for coming to stay. It was lovely to have you to stay and be part of your 'grand tour'. Glad to hear that all was well with the Manoir and that you enjoyed your stay. We would like to wish you all the best for your future in NZ and hope that Wales isn't too wet Best wishes
Rebekah and Richard

Because of the rural location of Pepieux a car is essential to enjoy all that the local area has to offer.
