Luxurious, tranquil and homely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom exquisitely designed home

Beautifully designed and furnished duplex penthouse, on 2 floors, providing privacy and independence for 2 couples or large family/group of friends while within the same apartment. The lower floor offers a large and sunny bedroom, bathroom, comfortable and well equipped open plan kitchen/living/dining area; a small terrace with 2 chairs and coffee table compliments this welcoming level while overlooking the fantastic views of St. Paul's Island and St. Paul's Bay. The spiral staircase to the upper floor is located adjacent to the kitchen; here you are greeted by a large lounge area with sofabed (which can sleep a further 2 people), and sofa for relaxation, and a sizable patio terrace for entertainment with deckchairs, table, chairs and barbeque - a great place to feast your nights away while taking in the views. This floor also offers another large double bedroom and bathroom.

The apartment also offers private elevator entrance for added comfort and exclusivity. A true gem.

St. Paul's Bay and its surrounding areas: The coastline in the St., Paul's Bay area has some wonderful open sea views and a vista across to St Paul's Island, where, according to legend, the ship carrying the Apostle is said to have been wrecked. Standing prominently on the isle is a large statue of the Apostle commemorating this legendary event. The coastline promenade provides a long, though mostly level and easy walk from St Paul's Bay all the way to Qawra Point, with its tower and views over Salina Bay. St Paul's Bay started life as a small fishing village and one can still see these going out to sea in the early hours. The parish church, built in 1617, was carefully restored after suffering heavy damage in World War II. Nearby is the Wignacourt Tower built in 1610 during the reign of Grand Master Alof de Wignacourt. It served as Malta's northern-most defensive outpost until fort St. Agatha was built in Mellieha in 1649. Today, it houses a small museum dedicated to Malta's rich military-architectural heritage.

St. Paul’s Bay is located on the North East coast of Malta and is the largest resort on the north of Malta, 15kms from Valletta. The old town of St. Paul’s Bay has extended to the south and engulfed the popular tourist areas of Bugibba and the newer resort of Qawra. This is a large and popular tourist area and part of neighbouring resorts, stretching for 5km along St. Paul’s Bay, around Qawra Point and into Salina Bay. A picturesque resort with good attractions and easy access to some of Malta's finest scenery and best rocky beaches. This is traditionally Malta's largest summer resort and can be split into four areas of contrasting age and amenities - Xemxija, Bugibba, Qawra and the Old Town. Of the group, Bugibba, is the largest resort in the area, with good views of St Paul’s Bay and its islands. Proving its popularity, Bugibba has the liveliest nightlife, a cinema, bingo hall and even a casino, however St.. Paul's Bay still offers the best views and the quieter side of life.

Almost the entire foreshore is rocky, In many locations the rocks are flat and suitable for sunbathing

There are 3 small harbours along the sea front either in the old town area of St Paul's bay or in Bugibba

Swimming and snorkeling is popular from the rocks. The entire area is great for water sports. There is a small beach at the head of St Pauls Bay, the rest is rocky. The nearest large sandy beaches are about 8km away at Mellieha Bay and further away in Golden Bay. There is a regular bus route to these beaches from St Pauls Bay. Next door is Bugibba which is the main hub of activity at night in the area, but te old town St. Paul’s Bay has a selection of quieter bars and cafes. Some of the hotels in this area also have their own nightclubs and special nights of entertainment. The area is well covered with tourist cafés and restaurants whilst more sophisticated dining can be found at Old St. Paul's Bay.

very nice stay in Buggiba

We had a very nice time in Aqua, which is a very clean, nice and convenient apartment, with a very beautiful sea view. It is located in a very quiet area, close to the bus stop, the shops and nice restaurants. Thank you to Paul for his help in the car location and the nice welcome when we arrived. We also appreciated the fact that Paul could come and fetch us at the airport. I certainly recommend this flat! M.C.Lemoine

Superb Apartment, Superb Location

The description given on the site is completely accurate regarding the location and the facilities of this beautiful apartment. In addition to this, however, the spectacular views and fantastic customer service from Paul and Josanne make this apartment an truly excellent choice for a holiday in Malta. Paul was on hand to give advice and help at all times and to ensure that our stay was a great experience. The apartment was clean and spacious, with superb views from the balconies, and the location was a perfect spot for any exploring we wished to do, aided by the excellent bus service which left from just around the corner. The promenade in front of the apartment leads in one direction to Bugibba, a busy little town full of shops, small restaurants and pubs. I would recommend "Vinnies" for excellent food and great value, "Paulus" for great food and excellent service. In the other direction, reached by a two minute stroll along the promenade, lies the sleepy fishing village of St Paul's. The Gillieru Hotel serves beautiful food and the service is wonderful.

My top tip is to sample all three of the restaurants named above, and to use public transport, which is cheap, convenient and safer than a hired car!

Perfect size, location and view.

A group of 7 girls rented the Aqua Apartment for a week. The owner Paul had arranged an airport pick up for us all and was there to welcome us on our arrival. He was very friendly and helpful. To settle us into the apartment he had bought us some groceries which was grill isn't as we were not expecting this but all of us were hungry so that worked out well.

The Apartment was a perfect size for us all. It's cleaniness was superb. The apartment was situated looking out onto St Paul's bay which was a great view to look out on all day. It's location was excellent and everything we needed was in walking distances. There were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and the docking port for the boat trips were a short walk.

This apartment was very safe, secure and quiet which made us feel at ease.

The family who own the apartment were very contactable and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this apartment for groups or families with older children. I will 100% stay in this apartment when I travel to Malta in the future.

Terrific place, great service

We enjoyed a month in Aqua during January/February. The furniture and kitchen are of higher quality than many flats we have rented. Although located on the 4th floor, the elevator opens directly into the 1st floor of the flat (secured by a key) making the flat ok for people who do not like stairs. However, the second floor of the flat is only accessible via a curved staircase within the flat. There is lots of light courtesy of the floor to ceiling Windows and sliding glass doors on both levels. There's also balconies on both levels - with the upper large enough for deck chairs, a table and a gas grill.

The location is great. The view of St. Paul's Island and the bay is terrific. There's small stores within a couple of blocks and larger stores on Mosta Road (perhaps 6-8 blocks). We found a butcher, a couple of fish markets, a bakery and a green grocer nearby, so we had plenty of fresh groceries. Restaurants are only 7-10 doors down, with many more in the area. Busses are easy to catch close by. Walking is very safe.

We can't say enough about the service we received from Paul and Josanne. Their timely responses to inquiries prior to arrival and also after we were here made us feel at ease. The pick-up at the airport was perfect. There was a small issue with one of the toilets during our stay and Paul had a plumber over ASAP (and Paul accompanied him).

We were told that the weather was exceptional for this time of year, but most days were 15C/60F. The space heater took the chill out of the flat when needed during the evenings. It was also nice to have both a washer and dryer at this time of year. After line drying I would pop the clothes in the dryer a bit to do the final drying.

We would definitely rent Aqua (or any other of Paul and Josanne's places) again.

Excellent accommodations, great location.

The apartment is exactly as presented in the video. Paul and Josanne are wonderful hosts and attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Very safe neighborhood and quiet at night. Close to bus line, fast internet and satellite TV although we didn't watch any, too many other things to do. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Quiet neighbors on three floors below.

Best sea view

We really enjoyed our staying. The view from the apartment is fabulous, location is great. Paul was very helpful informing us for instance: car rental from Ray, Hormblower cruises, birgu fest etc. We really enjoyed our staying. Thank you

  • Aqua offers 2 bedrooms. Both the two bedrooms have one large double bed each. The bedrooms also receive a lot of natural light from the back windows - these overlook a large garden green zone area and not a cluster of apartments, thus adding to the tranquility of the place. The lounge area on the upper level is also equipped with a sofabed where 2 other people can sleep. In case of a larger family (or group of friends), we are also able to provide an additional mattress which could sleep a maximum of another 2 persons (total 8). Kindly enquire for prices.
