About Elaine Kenny

We are a retired (early) couple with a background in the NHS. We love meeting new people and regard our 'job' as part of our social life. Having holidayed in this area for a couple of months, 5 years ago, we decided we just had to stay. We were lucky enough to find Monach House and spent a couple of years bringing it up to date whilst retaining its original charm.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: Downstairs is a sitting room with wood burning stove, TV by Freesat, DVD and a good selection of books where you are welcome to sit and relax. There are two comfortable sofas, several chairs, coffee table and lamps. Meals can be taken either in the family kitchen (warmed by the Aga) or in the dining room. The house is centrally heated (oil-fired boiler) with thermostatically controlled radiators as well as the log burner in the sitting room. The house is non-smoking. Guide dogs are welcome. We have pet dogs of our own. They are not permitted in the kitchen whilst we are preparing food: however they do have access to the rest of the house at times, so Monach House would not be suitable for anyone with a severe dog allergy. Choose from a varied breakfast menu using local produce including 'The Full Scottish'. Evening meals at your request -freshly prepared delicious home cooking. Outside: In season guests are welcome to share our patios and garden area complete with garden furniture and barbacue.
