Holiday Home in Limni, Evia, Greece Islands - Lovely Family Home in Unspoilt Greek Fishing Town

This British owned traditional family house has been decorated to create a light, spacious and airy home with a lovely kitchen opening onto a private courtyard, ideal for alfresco dining. Accommodation is on 2 floors. There are 3 charming bedrooms (one with a balcony and sea view). The sitting room/bedroom 3 overlooks the courtyard and has a traditional open fireplace as well as 2 additional beds. Stairs from the large, open hallway lead up to a roof terrace, which has excellent views of the town and surrounding hills. Stairs also lead down to a large basement room which has additional bedding for larger parties. Limni is a small, unspoilt fishing town with a small marina. It has a variety of good local shops and excellent cafes and tavernas line the sea front.

I am a sun worshipper with 5 wonderful children! I enjoy spending my time between the Cotswolds in England, with my dogs, and my lovely holiday home by the sea in Limni on the unspoilt Greek island of Evia.

The Owner purchased this house in 2006

Why The Owner chose Aegean Islands

I have been coming to Limni for the last 40 or so years since I was a child, and in 2006 purchased the house in Limni. I have made it into my family holiday home and have spent many wonderful summers there greatly enjoying all the wonderful food, weather and sea. Limni is such a special and unspoilt place that I believe anyone who is looking for an authentic Greek holiday without the crowds will greatly appreciate and want to return to.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is full of art and books so we really enjoyed it. There is always a possibility for improvement. The outdoor furniture is old and ruined and plenty of various bugs. Also humidity in the downstairs bedroom.

Beautiful interiored house near the sea

Very pretty house with stylish and light interiors. A lot of pictures, detail,

pillows, and different kinds of books!!! The location was perfect, close to the sea, and to the planty of differens tavernas and cafe. There are also two beaches with bar, 10 minutes by car.Emma gives most informations about comfortable stay in Limni. Specialty of the house is terrace on the roof, were we drink the wine in the evening, listen to the sea, looking for the stars and talking.

Highly recommended.

Summer 2015

After a day traveling we were so happy as the bus pulled into the beautiful harbour of Limni. The house just a stones throw from the beach did not disappoint. What a lovely family home, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. The beds were so comfortable and we all slept brilliantly. It felt like home from home and has everything a family could need. This house provided the perfect place to relax and unwind, added to this the view, sea and great restaurants are just minutes away making for zero stress. The guidance provided by the owner was so helpful and the local people and shop owners made us feel very welcome. We loved meeting the woman who sells eggs from her house fresh that day (they were delicious). It was wonderful talking to her in sign language and through sheer appreciation. We really did not want to leave and would highly recommend this beautiful house and region (just don't tell everybody).

The beach in Limni is no more than 50m from the house. Further beaches can be reached easily within minutes walk.

Kohili beach, 5 minutes drive to the north, has beach chairs and a restaurant with a pool.

Katounia beach, 5 minutes to the south, has an excellent taverna in a very peaceful location.


The nearest airport is Athens International, which is about 3 hours drive from Limni.

Buses to Limni are also available from Athens.

Further Details:

Limni has a small supermarket, small convenience stores, fruit and vegetable shops, butchers, fishmongers, superb tavernas and cafes, small bars and some beach shops.
