Penthouse Apartment on La Manga Strip, Costa Calida - Peaceful location, ideal for a relaxing family beach holiday, romantic getaway

Directly on the Mediterranean beach, the complex is on one of the thinnest points of the strip with direct access to the Med through the shared pool area and Mar Menor lagoon being just also across the street. The climate is very hospitable with 300 sunny days annually. The two seas, soft breezes, sunny days and significant sporting facilities makes La Manga a water sports paradise: sailing, diving, water skiing, kite surfing, windsurfing, jet skiing and most other nautical sports are available with renting facilities in Tomas Maestre Harbour. The calm, shallow lagoon is a great environment for children to enjoy the water. The penthouse is air-conditioned, fully equipped for a great holiday. Sat TV (English and Spanish channels), CD and DVD player, wi-fi internet access installed. Shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, chemist within easy reach in Darcena Cero commercial centre and in Tomas Maestre Harbour.

Notes on accommodation: Upon request cot is available for your little one. The penthouse has a private garage place in the underground parking area from where the apartment can be accessed directly by lift. Outside: The complex has two communal swimming pools (one for adults and the other one with shallower water for children). The pool operates from June till October. Med can be accessed directly from the communal pool area. There is a paddle tennis court in front of the building. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided at change-over. We kindly ask guests to bring their own beach towels. Other: The penthouse is spacious with two huge balconies opening from the bedrooms and from the living area. The property is suitable for early spring and late autumn stay being equipped with cold and hot air-conditioning units, electric heaters.

Enjoyed a week at the apartment. What's nice about it is the excellent security and close proximity to the beach which is stunning and the swimming pool. The apartment itself is spacious and very clean, with two bathrooms which came in very handy. Everything is catered for on the place. The two sun terraces got used a lot! There are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance but it's a short car ride to more choice. The flip side of that is it's very peaceful there so ideal for a couple or a family looking to have a little peace. Lovely place, would definitely go back!

Our amazing holiday...

We had the most amazing weeks holiday in La Manga. The apartment is even better than it looks in the photos - you really are left wanting for nothing - and the views are breathtaking! With being so close to both the sea and the lagoon the children were happy just to go snorkelling or body boarding.

We went to Cartagena for the day which was well worth the drive as it was full of history and easy to find.

We flew into Alicante and hired a car. We had our own satnav but it was quite straightforward - it took us about 1hr 20min. Jo was really helpful and friendly on our arrival and although we had no need to contact her during our stay nothing seemed too much trouble.

I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment and we are planning to return in the near future - thanks for a great holiday!

Perfect holiday

We are family with three children(17,11,5). We can recommend this apartment. Comfortable and spacious. Equipment is very good. Beautiful views from both terraces. Beaches near the apartment are clean and spacious. This is perfect place for rest. We have 14 sunny days. And we love it. Everyone who we met was very friendly a communicative. We hope that we will go there in future.

The building is beachfront. The several miles long, wide, sandy beach can be accessed from the communal pool area on the Med side while there are several small beaches on Mar Menor Lagoon, the closest, Playa Chica being across the street. Among others, you might also try out the beach 100 meters away renowned for its therapeutic clay being full of minerals and salt.


La Manga can be reached from Murcia San Javier (MJV) and Alicante El Altet (ALC) Airports. Car rental and taxis are available at both airports. The drive to La Manga takes 30 minutes from Murcia and 60 minutes from Alicante Airports. We offer transport from and to the airports as extra.


The historic cities of Cartagena (30 mins away) and Murcia (50 mins drive) are well worth visiting for sightseeing and high class shopping. Cartagena is full of historic architecture, has many museums, and a historic marina with tourist trips around the Port. Inland from the strip is the world renowned La Manga Golf Club which is home to a 5 star hotel, casino, bars and restaurants alongside three championship golf courses. You might also visit the bustling capital of Murcia.

Further Details:

La Manga strip is ideal for a beach holiday and for water sports lovers. There are boat and ferry trips from Tomas Maestre Marina including to the town of Santiago de la Ribiera a lovely place with water front cafes and a local market on a Thursday. You might also charter or hire your own boat here.

There are numerous hotels, bars, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and beaches along both coastlines, there are two harbours and many sailing schools. You might enjoy strolling along Tomas Maestre Harbour with a wide variety of cuisine being available including Spanish tapas bars and restaurants, English, French, Mexican, Asian ones as well as Pizzeria. To make your stay even more enjoyable you can spend your time in the 5 star Abity Spa Hotel which is 2 minute drive away offering spa, sauna, fitness centre/gym, Turkish bath, massage, whirlpool, hairdresser/beauty salon.

Notes on prices:
£120 returnable breakage deposit required per booking. 70 EUR cleaning charge is to be paid to our property manager per stay upon arrival.
Whilst in occupation, your personal safety is your responsibility and the villa owner can not accept any liability or responsibility for any injury caused as a result of use of the property. You are advised to have your own medical and comprehensive accident/personal liability insurance.
